While it may be true that many blasters who read and contribute to these boards may indeed leave if AoEs are "fixed," expanding this to the whole player base is a weak stretch. As we all know, this is a tiny portion of the user-base. In general, the players who "just play the game" learned how to play from the manual. These folks would run in fear from groups that are routine to many forum-goers. If these players notice anything beyond "Huh, that's weird. It worked different last time I played" I'd be very surprised. If you're going to hint at the fallout from changes to the game, keep in mind the sheer number of "uninformed" players who just play for fun.

Many also left.


Many didn't leave because there wasn't any good alternatives at the time...


What in the hell is your point?

Energy blasters cannot kill white con groups with one shot.

Unless you count nova, but then even a dark defender with black star could oneshot a white group.

So... What is massive damage to you?


I mean seriously, what is it to you?


I mean if a scrapper's whirling sword can make mobs die in three swipes, how many attacks should a "massive" damage AT have to do for an AoE?





By the way, couldn't Cyclops just take off his visor and obliterate all of the foes if there isn't any chance of damaging innocents?

They whine because it's easier to do so, than to work at getting the blaster to a good level, especially with Issue 2, everything's screwed up in the lower levels..
