Thanks for the response Hyperstrike...I settled on a 1gb Geforce 540m...and I'm happy to report that I can run ultra mode using the card, but only if I don't have any other demanding apps running in the background. If I do, the frame rate turns to garbage. But I had it set all the way to ultra mode otherwise and have had no problems. At least, I not up to this point - I've done a few hours of gaming, but no teams - couple of momentary freezes, but then things pick up again - so far, so good.

Can anyone tell me whether the nvidia geforce gt 520m card is compatible with CoH? I don't need to run in ultra-mode but I'd like to. Hoping to return to CoH after an absence of a few years - but first I'll need a new laptop (desktop is just not in the cards). A couple of off-the-shelf options have the nvidia GeForce gt 520m card. I did not see that on the list that started this post, but the card looks like it was released after that thread was posted.

Any advice would be appreciated - thanks!
