Grame Winsler used to be part of a special ops unit that specialized in magic abilities. One day, the group all retired. Grame settled with his wife and had a kid, Jacob. But even after 4 years, Arachnos held a grudge. They hunted down and killed all the members of the unit. They found Grame, and killed his wife. Grame tried to use fire to stop them, but one made Grame fire blast go into his wrist before he could launch. Grame could only writhe in flames as they killed his son. He passed out, then woke up 9 hours later. Something wierd happened. He felt like fire was replacing his blood. He was only a little disfigured from the burn. He went to Paragon, to find and avenge his family.
His costume however, made many think he was a menace. A reporter gave him the name The Hellblaster.
