Chi is concept based, and he is Storm Dark. There are a few ways of looking at it:

1) Two completely different sets (eg Ice/Radiation Corruptor) is just stupid

2) Two completely different sets (eg Ice/Radiation Corruptor) is cool, as it means your character has two completely different powers!

3) Two completely different sets (eg Ice/Radiation Corruptor) is cool, because it can make your character uber.

4) Your character can be a Mage-type character, like Chi. He can summon evil spirits and control the skies to defeat his foes.

5) Your character can be a Robot/Gadget king. So they have eg special gloves that have many different functions, such as shooting electricity and summoning fire swords.

6) You could actually play an MMORPG in RP. It doesn't really matter what the powers are called, does it? An Energy/Sonic corruptor, for example, could be very simple to Energy/Force field. Your (<robot or whatever&gt could be able to control his energy bolts, and give his allies protective shields.

7) Maybe your character could be Sonic/Radiation (for solo) and they are a cry baby? Their origin could be Science. They could be a camp, male diva drama queen, that can control radiation. They just like shouting a lot.

8) You could just not care

Come on, that's a lot of ideas. I'm sure you can find something that works .

When I say my Corruptor has to be Sonic Attacks - Sonic Resonance for it's concept, I mean: "My Corruptor has to be Sonic Attacks - Sonic Resonance for it's concept."

The concept is that a group of people (the slef proclaimed 'Lovers Of Sound') came together to realise a single dream. 3-Dimensional sound. My Sonic - Sonic Corruptor (Technology Origin), is their final acheivement. Something that can impose their message across the world.

The reason I set it around concept is because that's what I want. I don't like playing characters with no backstory. I find them a little lifeless. I could make a Sonic Attacks - Radiation Emmision, but it wouldn't make sense fo my character. And I could just not care, but I do.

So, the reason people set things around concept? The same reason some players choose Defenders over Blasters: Playstyle.

Sometimes to my dismay, I always pick Powers based on cencept rather than compatibility with my play style. So it really has to be Sonic Attacks - Sonic Resonance. I have had a Level 19 Force Field - Electric Blast Defender (not that I'm saying that Force Fielders are the same as Sonics), and I found Detention Field immensely useful when playing solo. So I would imagine Sonic Cage to be the same.

Storm Summoning. It is the only way to go. Storm Summoners can do everything every other AT but a billion times better! They're just amazing.

I have recently rolled a Sonic Attacks - Sonic Resonance Corruptor and am loving it. Even though I am more of a soloer. But I have been trying to find some guides to help me get to grips with it, but I can't find any.

Can anyone give me some tips about slotting and whatnot?

Thankyou all for your input. Twas' very helpful. I tried out Claws, but they look really silly on a character of Jazz Noirs build and I am still a bit iffy on Martial Arts after playing it to Level 14 and finding it 50 - 50.

So I'm going for Dark Melee - Super Refelxes

I had a Level 14 Martial Arts - Dark Armour Scrapper (Jazz Noir), who I restarted because I didn't like hwhere she was on my character selection list (sad I know ).

Anyway, I want to make a Scrapper again, but I can't decide betweem Claws and Martial Arts. With the fact that I will be taking Dark Armour, can anyone give me some hints on what the Pros and Cons of taking Martial Arts or Claws are? As Powers on their own, and in conjunction with Dark Armour.
