Yeah, Fred is all gristle and bad attitude, which means the little so-and-so is gonna live forever. Bill, that goop in the corner of his eye is just sleep build-up. But since he tries to take off the fingers of anyone who comes at him with a Kleenex, I just let him sort it out for himself.

Except for Spike, all the dogs are rescues. So they all have histories in bad situations. (Well, Allie was surrendered because the new baby was allergic. Their loss was my gain.)

Well, they are tasty. Speaking of cats, I took care of some motherless newborns some time ago, fostering them until the animal shelter could take them back. Feedings every two hours for two days really took it out of me. Football practice has nothing on feeding five kittens with an eye dropper!

Although it was cool to actually see them grow overnight, it was exhausting. Plus, they have unbelievably sharp claws and teeth. I named them Stop That, Ouch, Hey That Hurts, Let Go Of That and Bob. Here's a memento from somewhere about 4 am -- she looks exactly how I felt: Hey That Hurts.

I think it's okay. Mostly because there's not enough showcasing of Ironik. Putting Ironik in there would've definitely gotten it over the hump into A+ territory. So yeah, more Ironik next time, those are my expectations.
