  1. First off, ignore the RP Nazi's. Not those that RP as Nazi's (because those can be interesting) but those that have self delusions of greatness and that their way to RP is the only way.

I've seen a wide array of different styles of rp and SG/VG groups that go with it. The question is, what type are you looking for and what size of a group?

Pocket D isn't my favorite place to go to without friends coming with. Though I've sometimes listened in on local RP's and it's not as bad as some may claim. Sure the occasional showing off of who's got the bigger ego, but personally I find those rather funny.

I think I've made more RP friends/connections in random pugs then I've done so in Atlas or Pocket D. Heck several members of my current SG are members due to this or grouping with other members.
  2. I'm leveling a human form WS also. Just got stygian circle and I've noticed a difference in the end loss. It helps when timed right and you have a good amount of fallen badguys around.

Another thing that's been helping me, is I'm going for IO's and SO's right away. If I had the cash, tickets or merits, I'd have sets going too.

So far I've only 5 sloted my 2 major attacks. Shadow blast 2 acc, 1 dam, 2 endred
and Dark detonation 2 acc, 1 dam and 2 end in the other.

Orbiting death, while cool and helpfull is an end drain. I only toggle that on after using sunless mire to damage the minions around me while I focuse on the hard hitter. By the time (s)he is down I can drop another AoE and then take out the rest in 1-2 hit each.. If I'm lucky and don't miss.

Once you get Stam slotted and Stygian circle usage down, things go better. You see a real difference in keeping up with your group or down time when solo'ing. Untill then, keep lots of blue insp around or be willing to deal with down time.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one trudging along doing this. So I wish you good luck.

Ignoring In Game rules, (i.e. Pocket D being a sanctuary or a non-Violent zone) is Godmoding. Yet it still happens and some people brush off the consequences. That is one of the reasons I just don't go to the D except for the use of Holiday events or the Costume Editor.

Yes they can police and rate the whole game T, they just don't enforce the rules in private channles (cause that would take up too much resources). Two people going heavy ERP in a public place over tells or broadcast can and probably will lead up to them getting the boot from a Dev/Mod. Though, if you try to get all ERP with a dev even in private channels you'll probably get the boot also.

So, how about we get this thread right back to actually being helpful and not someone spewing hate and anger for what ever reasons.

I have noticed people using such things as *takes an action* and also the use of <takes action> to signify something over a channel that doesn't support the use of /e very well. Like using "*laughs loudly* That is a good joke." In the SG chat channel.

I have also seen them in use to show an outside action not done so by the character typing. (i.e. Heroic_Dude:<Five Arachnos fliers are seen coming in fast>)

I myself try to use the * and not the <. Reason being is that < seems to create a command that can make the rest of the chat vanish if not given a space between the < and the start of the action. Yet I still see many people use the <> despite its trouble causing ways.
