  1. ((The energy ball is gone! It dissapated against the energy field after passing through the dragon!))
  2. ((erm...check...I made the mistake of leaving out your energy ball attack...I posted my action before you posted my attack and threw everything into confusion...))
  3. The same thing happened again. The dragon's flesh parted to allow both attacks to pass through it harmlessly...without ever even touching the beast. The flesh reformed...

And the beast let out a massive roar, and spread its wings. It started to flap them...

and two massive tornadoes formed from the wind. they both raced forward, intent on ripping the two smaller beings to pieces. The dragon then breathed more negative energy into the tornadoes, making them wrathful incarnations of swirling DEATH!!! (hehehe)
  4. (gawd! so much cross posting! I need to edit!))
  5. ((???

    where did Alex come from?))
  6. And for all six balls of energy...

the same thing happened. The dragon's flesh parted before the balls of energy ever even reached it, tendrils wavering...

the balls all passed through these new gaps...

Then collided in the center of the dragon, forming one large ball of energy.

Then all the gaps closed up again.

The dragon opened its mouth again, and the huge energy ball was suddenly there...aimed right at Krystell.

It was shot forward like a cannonball, heading right for her.
  7. The bolt flew at the dragon, soaring straight for its chest...

And suddenly the dragon's chest seemed to recoil and throb, and it split away into thousands of little black tendrisl, which parted...

And the bolt of energy sailed right through the new gap in the dragon's chest, and dissapated against the energy field.

The tendrils closed in again, sealing the dragon's chest.

The giant monstrosity roared, and unleashed its attack. Pure negative energy rolled out of its mouth in an endless torret, heading straight for Krystell.
  8. Lord H'taed turned around, device still in hand.

"I have two words for you."

    He paused.

    "Transmission ended."

And with that, the image of Lord H'taed faded, his flickering form laughing maniacally.

The device, however, was still there on the platform...

    Until something happened to it.

A giant shadow formed on the floor. It grew...and the device sank into it. The shadow then seemed to turn into Liquid form, and it rose slowly, tendril by tendril, to form...

    A dragon.

Complete with a win gspan of over 50 fgeet, not to mention 50 feet tall, several horns and spines grew from the thing's back, along with several car sized razor sharp claws growing from its massive hands. A long curved and spiked tail grew from behind, and its head...

Two red glowing embers were its eyes, and a mouth filled with jagged teeth that dripped with poison opened.

'You want that device? You can have it. After you work past one of my master's little pets.' Echoed Lord H'taed's voice in her head.

And a force field made of energy slowly domed over the entire platform, trapping her and the dragon in the space.

    *Info

The platform in a mile wide and high.
  9. And as sh flew forward...She ran directly into the next creature.

This one was completely transparent, making it nearly undetectable in the mists. It was a flat sheet of sentient jelly, stretching like a net for several miles. In function, it was like a spider-web, and in design, it was like a jelly fish.

It caught prey as it strayed into it, and latched on with its goopy and grimy hold. After the first few seconds of actual contact with the creature, the caught subject would be envenomed with various poisons meant to petrify, stun, disorient, and completely stupidify the target, while applying its own form of electro-shock thearpy. Then it would draw the said prey to the center of its mass, and digest it over the course of several years. It had no oragans, the entire thing was just an endless mass of sentient goo with unique properties.

And Krystell had just flown head-long into it. The gooy mass quickly grabbed hold of her.

In a few seconds, it would proceed to envenow her with enough poisons and venoms to knock Statesman himself out, and the electroshock that followed would not be pleasent in the least. And if that happened...Well, Krystell wouldn't regain conciousness until after the digestion progress had begun, and she would die a thousand thousand deaths as she would be slowly eaten and digested alive.

    If she didn't react quickly.
  10. Suddenly the severed head of the whale snapped at her, its bus suzed teeth barely missing her.

    Then she saw...

The body she had cut the head from had regrown a new head.

And the severed head had grown a new body. Now she had two of these strange whales after her.
  11. But before she could find out...

    "GROOOOOOOOOOOORAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAG!!!"

A giant whale-shaped creature easily over a mile wide, colored purple, making it hard to spot amongst the mist, and caked with some sort of bone exo-skeleton, the huge creature plunged towards Krystell's platform at frightening speed, its gigantic teeth looming...

    The dimension of mists.

It was created by Lord Diov at one point. He put all his failed experiments here.

Most of them were usually bio-engines of destruction, like this whale behemoth, but the entire dimension was filled with several other...things as well.
  12. "Hehehehe...So that's who you all are? The GoPC? How's that whole balance of the universe thing going for you? Last I checked, you were hopelessly struggling to repair all the damage my master has caused in your precious balance. Go ahead. Send ALL your pathetic agents after me. I'll destroy them all."

"But I'll stick to you, for now."

And like that, Lord H'taed vanished in a burst of static as his lightning reflexes kicked in. The next second, he had scooped up the device, and tucked it into his armor.

"Ah well. Looks like I have what I want. Normally I would stick around, but well...I need to get this thing open. I'll leave you with a few of my attendants. Farewell."

    And suddenly the air bent.

A rip in the fabric of time and space opened. Lord H'taed leaped through it, and he was gone. However, he had left a little present behind.

It was a shower of carbon sparks. They were flying in every direction, homing in on their targets like heat seeking missiles.

Or electrical-field seeking missiles, but that's beside the point.

Three of the carbon sparks headed for Nether. Five headed straight for the mysterious new fighter.

And there were several more incoming from behind those...

The rift in space and time slowly closed.

    -----

    Dimension of Mists...

    -----

Lord H'taed reappeared, on a single large stone platform floating in an infinite expanse of mist.

"Well then. I'd better get started. Noitpeced, is it nearby?"

"Indeed it is, my lord, and we are standing by." Noitpeced said in his ear.

    "Right then. In the meantime..."

    He pulled out the device.

"How do I get that damn box out of this...?"

He began to examine the device.
  13. Hehehehehe...Ah what is that little ditty that creeps up your spine and slowly swirls through your veins before freezing your blood, and descending to clamp and crush your heart with its relentless grip?

    Errrr...........

    I mean...Umm...

Excelent work Essex. As I said before, amazing work.
  14. ((Hehehehe

    Excelent work.))

Lord H'taed was concious on more then one plane. It was hard to describe. The simplest way to put it is that if you gace him two books, he could read both of them at the same time. One conciousness reading one book, and another conciousness reading the other. An extreme case of multiple personalities, you could say, only on a much more complex level. Previously, both conciousnesses had been focused on Aoleleb. Now, however, one of them was focused on Alex.

'The perfect time to test out the powers of my new patron, I think...' It thought.

    -----

Lord Diov...The real Lord Diov...Watched all the events occuring in the universe he occupied at once. However, at certain times, he would restrict his view to a few key events if he ever felt the need. This was one of those moments.

He watched as his servant fought others over the possession of the mysterious box.

He watched someone be born, live a full life-span of eighty years, then die, while watching Alex be surrounded by after-images.

He watched a hive of bees harvest pollen, while at the same time watching the fight in the storm palace.

He watched a begger rooting through the garbage for food while watching Aoleleb.

Then Syne appeared, and he watched her.

Peering through space and time, he watched everything she did, and everything she would do. He viewed her history like an open book, and watched with a malevolent intelligence of a being who had existed before time held sway over reality.

    He watched.

    And watched.

    And watched.

    And watched.

    And wa-

    -----

Time suddenly seemed to slow down around Alex. Everything seemed hazy and wax-like. The previously lightning-fast Lord H'taed suddenly moved at the pace of a snail. Aoleleb seemed like a statue in comparison. The noise and sound of the world echoed and oozed, shifting from octave to octave.

The patron appeared before her. The patron of Lord Diov.

"Tell me young one...Do you know what lies beyond the end of time? The begining?" The patron's voice echoed, and rang, synchronized with what seemed like multiple voices.

"Do you know the true secret of existance? Do you know the meaning of power? Of wisdow? Of Balance?"

The patron started to walk around her slowly, like a doctor pacing about his subject.

"Of course you do not know. You are but dust in the wind. You are less then nothing in the great potential of reality. You are worthless. What can you hope to do against forces that are older then even good and evil? That which is BEYOND good and evil? Who are you to judge? Who are you to think? What are you, you foul and cruel, WORTHLESS, PRIMITIVE, BEAST." The paron spat these last words.

"Despair. Despair in the Dark. Embrace the hash, cold, touch of the Void. For in nothingness there is all...Yes...Do you feel that? No, of course you don't..." The patron shook its concealed head, and wagged a hazy finger at Alex like a parent chiding a kid.

"I am warning you. You are very close, but infinitely far. A fold in the Grey. Stop now, while there is still no longer any time left to stop. For time is fleeting, just like darkness, and you have plenty of time to start, and even more time to stop. A end to a paradox of the begining, a reversal in space. Something which is understood with the magnatude of uncounted minds, yet at the same time mis-interpreted, and consumed. Just like all the others. You will be warned. Stop." The patron glared directly into Alex's eyes.

The patron faded. Everything returned to normal, as if the entire event had never happened.

    ((PSYCH!

What? No, I didn't actually do anything.))
  15. What he saw was H'taed's mud mace descending upon his head.

H'taed had noticed Aoleleb suddenly slide away. He had activated his inherit ability to become GROUNDED, and super accelerated his way back to the ground in the blink of an eye. He had then raced over to Aoleleb while he was still turning around, conjured his mud mace, and swung...
  16. Only Lord H'taed was no longer even there.

"Yoo-hoo...Up here cheerleader." Said a mocking voice.

Lord H'taed had supersped under the punch, grabbed onto his force field enwrapped mud bomb, and accelerated it into the air. Knowing that Aoleleb would most likely despell the force field, he quickly abandoned his perch and zoomed dowards towards Aoleleb again, electrical swords in hand...

(gawd, what the hell is it with us and all the fancy air-combat? )
  17. Except that the force field suddenly reversed direction and headed right back for Aoleleb.

"I have polorized control over that mub bomb. So putting that field of force around it is like putting a blanket on top of a toy car. The toy car can still move, independant of that blanket...Oh, and by the way, PSYCH!"

While Aoleleb had turned to deal with that one mub bomb, H'taed hud supersped around the bubble and planted three more mub bombs behind Aoleleb's back on the force field, while maintaining his stand-still position after-image in front of Aoleleb.

The three mud bombs all chose to explode at that one moment...While the force field enwrapped mud bomb was still whizzing right for him.
  18. And the next second, the H'taed in the air vanished.

"Don't you just love after-images?" Aoleleb heard from behind him.

Lord H'taed stood with his mud mace in hand. He swung it, making direct contact with the force field.

The blow its self might not have done anything to the field, but the mud bomb the mace had automatically conjured and stuck to the field which was about to detonate might do the trick...
  19. Lord H'taed cooly regarded the beam of energy.

    "Right then."

In the blink of an eye, moving at almost the speed of light, H'taed dashed out of the path of the energy beam, then leapt high into the air...

And soared straight at Aoleleb, electrical swords extended forward, ready to impale. The only disadvantage here being was that he couldn't jump forward at the same speed he ran.
  20. It counts. Anything can go here!
  21. ((He's probably coming up soon. In the story we don't encounter him until the second being, Ghost of Christmas Present. You'll have to wait...))
  22. The name says it all folks. What is yoiur character's favorite signature weapon, what does it look like? What are its functions?

In the event that you don't have a favorite weapon, list a signature attack unique to your character!

    I'll go first...

Favorite Weapon: My signature Scyth. The entire thing is made of a mysterious material which cannot be affected by reality, thus making it indestructable and able to cut through just about anything. (The air compresses around the entire thing, allowing you to grip it, and cut through stuff with it.) The black shaft, which is ten feet tall, has several multi-colored gems in it with various purposes and functions, from force fields, to kinetic shaft blades, flux beams, and so forth. At the top of the shaft is a single fanged skull with glowing purple eyes. The blade of the scyth is five feet long, and has various glowing tribal runes etched into it. The entire scyth glows softly with a blood red aura.

Favorite Attack: Lord H'taed's "Avatar of Cataclysm." He rockets up into the air, and explodes in a giant sun of pure electrical might, this sun then emenates tendrils of electricity from miles around, super accelerateing everything within the radius, which freezes time. He then conjures giant electrical hurricane around himself, accompanied with thousands of arcs of lightning focused around him, topped with a tornado made of energy. He then conjures two of his signature electrical mud bombs, only he makes them the size of large cars. To finish the whole thing off, he conjures the mighty Avatar of Lightning, fuses with it...

And then he descends upon his target with all of that. The second he reaches the target, time unfreezes, and he shouts...

    "AVATAR OF CATACLYSM!"

Just before everything explodes and pretty much disintergrates/incinerates/explodes/implodes everything within a considerable radius. He has only used this attack once ever in his entire life.

Those were mine personal favorites, and examples for the rest of you. So anyways...Anybody else?
  23. At this point, the Nemesis and the Rikti launch their attacks…At the same time. While the systems could show you the individual vantage points of everyone involved, it would make your head explode, so here is a simple overview of what happened.

As I mentioned before, Nemesis and Sin-Ninrak attacked at the same time. They meet at a large bog in between the mountain and ravine strongholds. The Rikti had the advantage of being more maneuverable, and had control of the skies, due to their perfected teleportation tech and drones. Nemesis however, had superior weaponry and tactics. The entire battle was the same case over and over again. Small pockets of Rikti would hide in mud-holes and ambush Nemesis troops, accompanied by occasional air raids by the drones. Nemesis eventually got irritated by this, and reconfigured his automatons to use flamethrowers. They burned every inch of the bog away, followed by long range volleys by snipers, using ammunition that expelled the famed “Nemesis Gas.” This wiped out a good deal of the Rikti, but the drones naturally survived.

This pattern repeated almost endlessly until only Nemesis and Sin-Ninrak were left. Apparently they met and fought in a duel, which went unresolved, because Flawless Freak chose that moment to attack. He had taken over both of the fortresses while their defenders where away, and took his time surrounding the entire bog with his army. The rest is fairly obvious.

Flawless Freak spent the remaining time in the month’s allotted time to build several strongholds and bases in a wide spread around the planet. At the end of the month, he had still not been able to secure the planet, with over half of it still unexplored. However…

The mysterious employer who had started the expedition in the first place came to the planet personally, and told Flawless Freak…

“You have actually done everything according as to how I have planned it. I thank you. Your next order is to build an empire upon this planet. I’ll leave all the details to you. I want you to officially consider this planet to be your empire, and all its life forms to be your subjects. As far as that goes, make the surviving Nemesis troops and Rikti you captured into your new people. Make a civilization upon this planet. When the time is right, I will come back, and announce my next command. Until then, do what you will.”

And so Flawless Freak did just that.

    To be continued…
  24. Flawless Freak’s Vantage

    -----

In a brilliant flash of light, my army of Drones and I appeared in a dense forest region. I immediately sent several lesser drones out to scout the area. I set several of the bigger mechs to logging the forest, and beginning the construction of my fortress.

I stopped them when they started to use the lumber to build the base.

“No, no, no you stupid flawed junk heaps. We won’t need that…”

I relied on resources shipped to me via my home planet, where I was built. Of course, I blanked the coordinates out before hand, so the shippers had no idea where the planet was. Using the resources, I built my base and expanded my territory.

I had not been sitting idly in the brief meeting I had attending. I had planted microscopic cameras on all of the rival groups. They were still collecting information by the second. Then, a few days later, while watching one clip of Nemesis receiving a report from one of his sergeants…

    ----

“Lord Nemesis. We are beginning to run out of the required materials to manufacture more automatons. And as you already know, outside assistance has been forbidden by personal request of our mysterious employer, who says it would not be fair for you to bring in your never-ending hordes from separate dimensions.” Said the Lancer Sergeant.

“I still wonder why he said that…What does he mean by ‘unfair?’ But anyway. What do our spies at the Rikti’s mountain say?”

“Well sir…they are also running into much of the same problem we are. They require a special alloy to manufacture their drones, and they are rapidly running out of it. However…Here’s something interesting sir…According to scans of their base, Brass veins occur naturally in it and the surrounding area for over 43% of the entire majority of minerals. Perhaps we could start a mining operation in their territory?”

“You mean steal? I like where you are heading with this soldier…But for one thing. The Rikti will not appreciate us stealing from them, oh no. They will have the advantage of being able to strike first if we do that. I say that we simply catch them by surprise, and wipe them all out in one fell swoop, seizing their territory in the process. Commence operation 4A2B. Prepare all the troops, and get the automatons ready. We are going to war.”

    “Yes sir.”

    -----

    Flawless Freak stopped listening then.

“Yes…This can all work out into my advantage…Once they have weakened each other, I will swoop in upon the weakened survivor and take BOTH their territories for myself. Let’s see how those inferior Rikti and that smug metallic show-off react to that…This world is mine. Our mysterious employer probably won’t be pleased one bit, but hey, I’m securing the planet way before schedule. He’ll find the losses acceptable I believe…

End of Simulation. Shifting Vantage point. Please wait…

  25. ((Lord Diov has an unlimited power supply. He can destroy multi-universes by sneezing, albeit he is hesitant to do so. Still, this IS only measly rep of him, not the actual guy himself, but he is still able to generate and channel a considerable amount of power into Lord H'taed.

Oh, and he's also a corporate executive of a corp which spans throughout the entire known space of existance, and has existed before the begining of time.

To make things simple, Lord Diov is just short of a god. He himself isn't a god, rather the various artifacts and tech he possesses makes him god-like. I don't care if you are ten times more powerful thanks to that other dimension. Lord Diov could just walk in and blow the whole place up. All he's doing, however, is cutting off the power flow.

Please note that he isn't INTENDED to do stuff on a major scale. Mostly he'll just dispell energy concentrations and POSSIBLY manipulate shadows. As a patron, he is very limited remember?

Don't think of him as an atom bomb...Think of him as an EMP pulse.

If you need precise nit-pick details, PM me, we are clogging posting space.))
