((I'm not THAT cruel. You wound me.
If the right person picks it the first time, nothing bad happens. Honest!))
-
((Do what you want, just realize that if you make the wrong choice, you'll be paying with your skin.
))
-
((Erm...Except for the fact that the pedestal with the obsidian key has sunk into the floor and is now inaccessable?
))
-
((That's nice. Now move or something. Nothing happens until one of you decides to touch the stupid thing anyway.))
-
((Yea, I know. I had that game at one point. Got bored while fighting the huge ginormous space claw thingie near the end...This has nothing to do with that.))
-
((It's for one of you. I'm not saying who. Point being though, there are severe consequences if the wrong person attempts to take that scroll.))
-
As Krystell reached for the grey key...
It melted in her hand. All the pedestals sank into the ground.
The bars on the middle gate opened, and out came...
Another pedestal. There was a scroll of parchment on it. There was also a plaque on the front of the pedestal, proclaiming...
"For one who is beyond Good and Evil."
There was a soft purple glow surrounding the parchment. -
~What is it keeper? Afraid of that which is Beyond Good and Evil?~ Rang a voice throughout the room in a mocking tone, before falling silent again.
-
And suddenly another thought rolled through their heads that seemed to come from nowhere.
"Maybe I should pick another key..."
Plus, it wasn't like they could go anywhere with the door shut behind them. -
((I don't have any control over them. They're figments of YOUR soul not mine.
But just to make this post constructive...))
The door leading back into the hallway snapped shut behind them, and a faint click could be heard from it. -
And as she reached for the ivory key...A sudden thought occured to them, also out from nowhere.
"You have no idea how right you are."
But of course, it was far too late.
The key exploded in a shower of white light...
And the entire back wall slid back to reveal three passageways. Two of them had bars over them, but one was open.
And out from this opening sprang...
Three Krystell's. Well, they were obviously Krystell, but several things were differant about each. One was dressed in slightly lighter clothes then herself, and her eyes where pure white. The second wore nothing except dazzling white versions of her clothes, and her sword was now made of ivory instead of metal. The final Krystell was just a big puff of white light solidified into her general form.
These three "Good" copies of Krystell all launched attacks at the original, however. Three beams of light and energy rushed towards here.
OOC
You've probably guessed it by now, but each "key" unlocks a portion of your soul. The white key unlocks the portion that is more inheritly GOOD. You can probably guess what the other two keys do from there. And for some reason, it spawns THREE manifestations of your better self...And no matter how virtuous they are, they seem intent on killing you.
Where the hell do I get these ideas? -
The door opened into a small cubical silver walled room. There were three silvery pedestals in the center, each of which had a key on it.
The first key was made of White Ivory...
The second was made of Grey Stone...
And the third was made of darkest Obsidian.
There were no labels, however, and no additional breakthroughs came to mind. -
And conseqently zipped right past the door, because the Mad Triple Room door is right next to the elevator door.
-
A strange thought occured to her again. Something was definatly screwy with all these inspirational ideas...
The key was hidden in the "mad triple room." -
And was probably surprised when it reflected right off it and back into her face.
And suddenly, another mysterious thought popped into all their minds out of the blue.
The entire Husk Corporation tower was made of a unique material that could not be affected by reality around it aside from other samples of the same material. The only reason the three could even walk on it was because the air in the building was compressed around the edges to create a solid surface. Lord Diov had found this material on a now obliterated planet. He had destroyed the entire dimension just to make sure nobody else could have the stuff.
They would have to find the key first if they wanted through. -
And suddenly they knew exactly where that was as well. 55 doors to the left through this door.
Only the door is locked. There is a key lying around somewhere. -
~I take it most of the precautions have failed.~
"Erm...Yes, or they are GOING to fail in the near future...Really my lord, these three are just too heavy duty. They are backed by the Council."
~Your point being?~
"You do know who the Council is don't you?"
~Indeed.~
".....You don't even care do you?"
~Your assumption is correct.~
"So...Uh...What do we do?"
~Well I did tell him right from the begining he would receive no aid from us. Beyond our countermeasures to make sure they don't directly interfere with MY buisness, they can rip him in half and chuck him into the flesh mills and I couldn't care less.~
"What if they trash the place up?"
~You know perfectly well they can't.~
"Correction...What if they trash the DELICATE stuff up?"
~Well I don't care. The only delicate things we have around here are mass produced anyway.~
"So then...Umm...What do we even do?"
~Well...For one thing...I'd say H'taed still has the odds slanted in his favor. It may earn me a few brownie points with Ixsneum if I aid "followers of the council." So get rid of that silly screen, and seal the damned warehouse back up. I DO have plans for those weapons you know.~
"I can only dream sir. I'm taking care of the screen as we speak..."
-----
Suddenly the screen flashed to a particular planet made entirely of metal, wires, and cords...
and immediately the entire screen was filled with pop-up ads.
Red writing flashed across the screen.
"WARNING! ADWARE OVERLOAD! COMME-"
Then it exploded softly.
-----
"Well that's that...What next?"
~Well...For one thing...Wouldn't it be convenient if Lord H'taed ran into an unfortunate accident?~
"Eh?"
~Think about it...He's been couped up in his room with the device now for some time. Do you really think he can resist the temptation of opening it? And do you honestly believe he can handle the cargo?~
"No...to both questions."
~Exactly. He should take care of himself for us. Now, just letting them FIND the device would be a tad too convenient, so after he...expires...Toss it into some random dimension.~
"And what of Lord H'taed himself?"
~Oh, he's the Avatar of Lightning. He'll reform in a few days. He'll be pissed, but maybe it'll tone him down a little. I mean seriously, destroying Primal Earth? Is he forgetting all the investment I have in that worthless chunk of rock? He must pay the penalty for his actions.~
"You're sounding unusually virtuous. Since when did you give a damn about an entire universe, much less a single planet?"
~Let's just say that Primal Earth has one thing native to it. A very hard-to-find species...~
"Ah...You mean that lizard?"
~Yes. One of the three...But that's beside the point. Anyways...Recall that patrol we set on them as well.~
"What about the nanites and the ritual?"
~Do you really think they can't find a way around those? Let them figure a way out of those themselves. The answer is right in front of them. By the way, who put those convenience machines there again?~
"You did. You said guests would find them useful in the near future."
~So I did.~
"...I bet you didn't even plan any of this. You just went into the future."
~Which future?~
"Good point."
~Hmmm...Let's see...Oh, if that one brings the Council in however...Kill them all, resurect them and kill them again for good measures, and toss their remains into a dimensional furnace along with a flux bomb. As for the council themselves...If they want revenge, they are welcome to attempt to get it. I wish them luck."
"And the GoPC?"
~The same. If they bring in ANY reinforcements...The more beings there are here, the higher the chance somebody wanders into the wrong room and interferes in my buisness.~
"Oh, and uh, one last thing...They don't exactly know where his room is."
~Oh. Right. Well I'll take care of that.~
-----
Alex, Shoshemi, and Krystell all suddenly comprehended a strange thought.
They all knew exactly where H'taed was, and how to get to him. The thought just popped into their heads like it had always been there.
He was on the one hundreth and thirty third floor, 77 doors down to the right.
-----
~There. That's fixed.~
"My lord...I don't mean to pry...But...Do you really mean to just walk out on it?"
Silence.
~Let us just say...I may be walking out...But someone else is coming in.~
"Who?"
~Good-day, Noitpeced.~
"Oh no you don't, get back here right now, I KNOW you know exactly what's going to happen now get the hell back here and te..."
----- -
((I was going to get the fighting started the second you LEFT THE FREAKING ROOM but ok, I'm good with your plan too...))
Only Noitpeced had vanished, and didn't bother to respond. -
Noitpeced shrugged. "Hell if I know. Walk straight into a dimensional furnace for all I care."
-
"Please, by all means, keep trying to use mental thought to talk with your imanginary GoPC friends. I assure you that we have run into plenty of other psychics and telepaths. Your thoughts may sill get through, but I'm afraid that so can we."
Even though Noitpeced seemed to remain calm, spiritually he was tensed. The moment he sensed Krystell even begin to formulate a thought directed to the GoPC, he would latch onto that thought and cause all sorts of hell.
-----
Shoshemi thought she felt something...
The Void within her started to grow again.
The nanites had been well-made, and relentless dug into his mind. They found the new powers and abilities Shoshemi might have regained from reading that scroll, and removed them from her mind again.
Just to be extra sure, they also drilled into the short term memory section, and eradicated the scroll from her memory as well.
((Gawd, anymore mini-operations and soon Shoshemi might find herself without any brains LEFT...))
-----
Suddenly there was a knock on the door.
"About. Damn. Time." Noitpeced spat as he hovered over. The door swung open and...
In came a single Enforcer, and a little black orb that had a television screen hooked onto it. It floated along with the enforcer.
"My name is Mr. White. I will be here at all times to remind you of the consequences of your actions. Please view this screen."
On the screen was the picture of a water-planet. The scene suddenly changed to that of a gas giant. Then to a planet with only forests. The picture kept constantly changing every second to an image of a new planet.
"Despite all the precautions we have already taken...We find it highly unlikey that any of them have worked, or will work in the near future. So this is to make sure you stay in line. The moment any of you start to act up, Mr. Doomsday screen here will randomly select a planet to blow up with a random doomsday device we havn't gotten around to using yet. After that, it will proceed to randomly select a second said planet and a second said doomsday device...And it will continue to do so as long as you three dis-obey any set rules by us. The view screen is just for your convenience, of course. It's not the actual executer. I just brought it here because I'd thought you'd like the view of a hundred or so planets being utterly obliterated because of your actions. So this is your warning. Don't [censored] with us."
And he walked merrilly out of the room. The view screen stayed behind, the planets still flashing by on the screen.
Noitpeced let out a sigh of relief.
"Ok, you three are free to do whatever you want. And a bit of advice, don't open a door if you don't understand the label, it could be hazerdous for your health. Unless you have any IMPORTANT questions, I'll be leaving now."
The door leading back into the hallway remained open. -
*Glances up from cooking the Psycho Fear*
"Eh...I love the critters as well...I HATE it when they die..."
*Kills five billion henchmen via their kill rigs.*
But anyways...Hmmm...I really don't get too emotionally attached to many characters... -
Suddenly a huge alarm rang out.
"BAREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!"
"Oh for the sake of [censored]!" Noitpeced groaned, and snapped his fingers. The alarmed stopped.
"Alright, which one of you contacted an area outside the the tower? I'm getting very annoyed. Let's see, commencing trace...And...OOOOOOO...Naughty Naughty..."
He turned to Krystell.
"At this point, I'm personally sick and tired of you. But you know what? I'm going to let it slide. Keep your powers. They won't help you one bit. However, just let it be known to all of you...All forms of outside communication and transportation are about to be permanently CUT OFF. Want to know why? Lord Diov is back from his self-proclaimed vacation. And now that he is powering the building again, everything is running at optimal performance now. Which means, guess what?"
He suddenly sliced his hand through the air in a karate-chop.
Everyone thought they heard a faint trace of static in her ears before...
And then a noise akin to dragging a finger nail across a chalkboard echoed throughout the entire room. The entire place lit up briefly with a purple glow, and then all returned to normal.
Noitpeced seemed to smirk.
"Feel free to TRY and contact any of your allies. I garuntee you right now. You'll fail, and you'll only be giving us cordinates to the location of said allies..."
He let that veiled threat hang in the air. -
"Erm...Why are you talking to that experimental implosion beast?" Said a voice from behind her.
Just as the supposed hologram in front of her exploded in a shower of gore and blood, completel coating Alex and her new clothes. It didn't really do anything harmful, but, well...Who wants to look like a steaming pile of [censored]?
Noitpeced floated back in front of her.
"I thought you'd enjoy that so I rifted that in after I copied your appearance. How'd you like that?"
((If Krystell or Shoshemi don't respond soon, Noitpeced and Alex are going to be throwing so many insults and freaky stunts at each other it'll still be funny.)) -
Noitpeced's hologram suddenly began to shift.
The colors melded, his general shape and size reconfigured...
And soon Alex was looking at herself, Noitpeced's new form mimicing her perfectly.
"Is that better?" Alex/Noitpeced winked.
"Or would you prefer this?"
And suddenly Alex/Noitpeced turned inside out. Literally. Organs, bones, and so forth all displayed for a complete 360 degrees. -
Noitpeced raised an eyebrow.
"Whoever said you were going anywhere? You're STAYING here until those enforcers get here. Which should be any minute. AFTER they've shown and or told you whatever it is that they find so vital to do that they get orders directly from Lord Kuro himself. Do you have anything CONSTRUCTIVE to ask?"
