(They really need a vet rewards that would allow one to start at lvl 30 if you so desire, or at least 20)

hell, i would take a vet reward transfer over that...but lvl 30 would be nice. -
i do robobug. Test sucks. Ive been in a lot of high end pvp matches...and scheduling practices and matches gets disrupted all of the time because of bugs, maintenance, closed betas, laggy patches etc. The advantage of test is duping, and being able to tweak your build. For arena goers, the live environment can be a lot of fun. Not to mention it will elimate a lot tier 3 inspiration usage.
-
i think it would be cool to just buy packages of transfers. Like 3 tranfers for 12.50, 2 for 10, 1 for 7.50.
-
I think price of trasfer really hurts the pvper more. Most of us play more than 1 AT/Role in team pvp. If your main healer for example cant play one night, someones gotta do it right? Not to mention, if we only transfered 1 toon to a certain server...we would have no alternative but to either pay more money, or to stay with that same team format. Obviously, bigger groups would be able to swap in more versatile team builds due to the number of ppl, but this causes some dilemma ex.
For some casual guy who just wants to move their namesake toon, or change a toon name at the same time as they free up a slot on their home server....10, 20 bucks is worth it.
For someone like me, who is a jack of all trades in heroes and villains, and multiple accounts (im not the only one, look at the globals in your ladder thread)..you'll see how dedicated we are.
If it were 5 bucks a transfer...i think ppl would be more willing to shuffle off somewhere.
OR
Give everyone 1 free transfer for 1 toon. That would be something EVERYONE could enjoy.
I think price is a bigger issue for PvPers than what is talked about on the forums. -

I love how all the non-storm players consider storm teams the same Easy-mode that venge stacking is.

I love how all the groups that aren't good at stacking venge consider venge the Easy-mode that Storm teams are.

you mean all the groups that arent exploiting and practicing a known bug?
apples and oranges. For someone who says they arent comparing, your sure do a lot of it. -

Bring your storm team. I'm dying to see how it'll fare vs ours.
[/ QUOTE ]
Wow, that sounds like fun.[/sarcasm]
If it came down to a Storm team vs Storm team, I'd rather have both groups agree not to use them.
Either that or I'd rather not play. Storm v Storm is [censored] stupid imo.

Id like to see a storm team vs a rad/psi team personally. Id bet on the rads...and would counter a storm team accordingly. -

It is universal. Your comparisons of veng and storms teams are apples and oranges in my opinion.

Good thing I wasn't comparing them

maybe i read what you wrote wrong, so please correct me if im mistaken.
You said that the general direction of the thread was veng=easy mode, storm teams are fine?
I read that as you implied storm teams are equally considered as easy mode. Thus comparing one to the other. If that was simply a question that storm teams are fine for the match...than i stand corrected. But then again, why mention storm teams in a thread about vengeance to begin with -

any particular reason your getting bent sky_wolf?

No, im just bored.

hehe, great answer. that works for me. -

So wait, the general direction of this thread is that Venge = easymode, but storm teams are fine?
[/ QUOTE ]
Storm teams have counters...they just arent your typical 2 or 3 fire blasters running around killing everything. Reason why storm is so great against run and gun is that not only can they debuff range, and resistance, they offer resistance to fire dmg in Steamy Mist. Something that is VERY overlooked in team pvp in my opinion. If you simply ran a heavy rad team, id bet money that it could defeat a storm team by stacking AM's, and applying debuffs on called targets. It may be able to even draw a stalemate on an office type map as well.
will that rad team beat a regular run and gun team? not likely. But you get the picture.
Vengeance is a different topic. Vengeance is something that could be taken on ANY mix of toons. Hell you could even have a storm team with stacked vengeance if you wanted.
It is universal. Your comparisons of veng and storms teams are apples and oranges in my opinion. -

In regards to my post about competition, vengeance, and players from LD, Penance, and HVND migrating to the Freaks, i meant to simply illustrate that the Freaks were a great team before, and now they are not only great, but deep. It would be no suprise to me if they mopped up every other PvP SG. Could they lose to a Velocity, Old School, JAL, whoever? Sure i suppose the could. I just dont think it is very likely at this point in time, and that they very well may find the most enjoyable pvp amongst their ranks, in a no pressure environment. I was stating also that because a lot of the existing talent has found a home their, that i think that may work against them a bit in terms of finding PvP Matches. I think that is a larger roadblock than vengeance. Although i dont like vengeance stacking because i see how it deystroys coordinating offense when a blaster can pop 2 reds, hit aim, and build up, and 2 shot a squishy, where before, you needed multiple ppl working together to take someone out.
Does it take coordination to gather and stack? Sure it does, but that act of team coordination can be used for many other buffs besides Vengeance. -

I just hope vengeance gets nerfed soon or organized pvp will take a huge toll of interest.
[/ QUOTE ]
too late for that. It already has. Additionally. with so many groups gone from the game, most of the talent that stuck around has migrated to the freaks. While it makes you guys even more of a powerhouse and the team to beat so to speak...there really isnt anybody for you to compete with, with or without vengeance. I dont mean that as a knock on anybody. a 27 member SG really isnt that large...but its definetely pretty big compared to other PvP SG's these days. I just have a feeling the only real competition you'll face is amongst your own ranks. Hell that might even be more fun because that takes a lot of the player ego's and worrying about winning/losing out of the picture. That to me can make pvp so much more fun. Though i hope im wrong, and vengeance gets fixed and interest grows.
Allowing blasters to 2 shot squishies really ruined the team aspect of coordination.
