Format: 1v1
Weight: SHW (47-50)
Match Duration: 10 Minutes
Match Options: Travel Suppression Off, Heal Decay Off, Diminishing Returns On.
Maps: Random. All maps will be in play.
Additional: Tier 1 Inspirations and Arena temps are permitted. One reset is permitted within the first 60 seconds of the match if a player disconnects. Sudden Death Mode does not count.

• This event will be a double elimination bracketed tournament.

• Brackets will be random draw with the losers and winners being separated into winner/loser brackets.

• In the event of a tie, players will rematch with Heal Decay. If another draw occurs, players will rematch at Cruiserweight level with Heal Decay On. Further ties-breakers will be at the host’s discretion.

• Winners of the winner and loser brackets will move on to the Final Round.

• In the event of odd numbers, one player will have a bye round. No player may have more than one bye round.

• The winner of each individual server will compete on the test server (when available) for the title of All-Server Champion.

• Test Server final round will be in best 2 out of 3 format.

• The Final Tournament will be held on Sunday, June 27th at 6PM PST.

• A player may not represent more than one server in the finals. Players may only compete in more than one live server tournament if they have lost in their previous attempts.

• Individual server winners will receive a costume code (which one TBD by NCsoft), 100 Million Influence or Infamy and a custom signature banner detailing the event that was won!

• Test Server winner will receive one of each of the following: Gladiator's Javelin: Chance for Toxic Damage, Gladiator's Strike: Chance for Smashing Damage and Panacea: Chance for +Hit Points/Endurance. Prizes available on both Villain and Hero sides. This is in addition to the individual server prizes.

• All participants will also be entered into a game-wide raffle with a 1 Billion Influence or Infamy prize! Everyone has a chance to win!

P.E.R.C. Presents Mirror, Mirror!

P.E.R.C. invites everyone to celebrate the release of Issue 17: Dark Mirror by joining us in taking a glance into the Dark Mirror and seeing what reflection awaits. P.E.R.C. will be hosting a Character Concept Contest where everyone will have the opportunity to show us what your character would look, feel, and act like if it had stepped into the Dark Mirror and arrived in an alternate reality.


Below are the times P.E.R.C. representatives will arrive to judge the entries. Please make note that these are the times that judges will begin judging the event. We advise all contestants to arrive 15 minutes early to ensure they are judged in the event. Late entrants will not be judged.

-One Entry Per Server.
-Heroes & Villains Welcome.
-No late entries accepted.
-As this is a subjective contest, no member of P.E.R.C. will be permitted to compete.


-A panel of P.E.R.C. Representatives from other servers will be compiled to judge this event. Players are urged to utilize costume choices, weapons customizations, emotes, and auras in building their concept for display.
-Judges will be voting on how best the character is representing themselves in an alternate reality. This includes name, costume, concept, details, etc.
-Players should arrive in their Paragon Universe attire and not reveal their alternate reality form until instructed to by the Event Master of Ceremonies.
-Customized Weapons are allowed. This includes shields, blades, guns, etc. Players are asked to only draw weapons however and not utilize power animations.
-Powers Usage is limited: We understand that i16 has brought with it a variety of power customization opportunities however we have found that powers can effect other players unintentionally and can also diffuse attention away from other character components. We would prefer players limit their use of powers and utilize them for Aura purposes. Examples of powers allowed include but are not limited to Fire Shield, Rock Armor, Personal Force Field, and Invincibility.
-Be very careful in your power choices and avoid overusing multiple powers.
-Powers that effect other players will result in automatic disqualification from the event. Examples include but are not limited to Steamy Mist, Lightning Field, Hotfeet, and Shadowfall.
-Please contact a P.E.R.C. Representative if you have any questions about a specific power.

*Note: Depending on the release schedule for I17 delivery of prizes may be delayed on some servers. This is because P.E.R.C. will be utilizing the the new e-mail system to send influence, infamy, enhancement, and IO prizes to the winners across multiple servers via globals. Agreed, we did alot of crunching back and forth with numbers. Unfortunantly the actual Ice Melee 1 2 and 3 threads no longer exist. Honestly I didn't see much in other forums about Ice Melee besides the Main Powers forum and here. Alot of people pushed for the changes and my apologies to those that did push that I didn't mention.

Agreed, we had some heated and fun debates about it.

Agreed, my analysis was not as detailed as I should of made it. A long time ago I had a proposal bout GIS emulating GFS except without the DOT damage that GFS has (80% of the time) While a 2 sec increase in recharge time and a end bump should not do major damage to someones attack chain someone will be upset. No matter what change is made someone will complain. When FA was changed we had a few upset because of they used the sleep to their advantage.



As for what goes well with Ice Melee, Fiery Aura, Shields and Ice imo would work best. It also depends on what you want to do. If you are building more for AOE damage then those 3 would be great choices. Ice Melee is a benefit for any tanker primary with Ice Patch alone.
