Was there an announcement I missed about the suppression of maintenance discussion threads?

I noticed that the last two or three maintenance periods had no discussion threads, including this one. Since this maintenance period has already run 50% over the advertised time allotment and there's been no update... One wonders.

Actually, if Tommy's post is anything to go by (I've no reason to believe it isn't), then the bases are (still) borked [or should that be (again)?].

I don't begrudge them the down times we've had. There were problems and these were addressed with the servers being back up in 20 or 30 minutes. As the sages say, defecation happens.

Yeah, it is (or was, I just disconnected from the server). Normally I have the mental wherewithal to add such details. The thought of all the XP I'm missing must've buried my finer sensibilities.

I logged in and noticed that my custom channels were gone. Inconvenient but no tragedy. Then I tried to enter a mission and got stuck on the loading screen for quite while. The first time I shut down the game because I thought it was stuck. The second time I waited for a while and when the loading screen finally cleared the game had dropped me back on the city map. On my most recent attempt I've been waiting a good 15 minutes without results.
