The fact that he replied to every single gorram suggestion with "no" and did his best to be the first reply in there is proof in itself. He got more persistent at it the more people bugged him about it. How can you possibly believe that was anything BUT an active effort to get a rise out of people?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I think that was far less annoying than the 5 consecutive "POWER CUSTUMIZASHUN" threads. JRanger was amusing, but most of the people getting /JRangered were annoying.

    [/ QUOTE ]
    5?

    Try like 25...

Yes, I understood that. I still contend the testing method is flawed and does not prove anything.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Please explain to me how my testing method does not detect a 1s difference in the execution of Gash by measuring the distance between bracketing attacks. As I said as far as I can tell my method and yours are identical aside from the irrelevant difference of what specific attack is used to bracket Gash.

Because there is a 1 second pause after the attack animation before you can use another attack that you are not accounting for.
  3. Because adding a dissenting opinion to a discussion thread is 'not adding anything.'
  4. I changed around shader for a while...didn't help :/
I eventually just turned off shadows, heh.
I may try that eventually but since I only play on my laptop when my desktop is out of commission, which is usually temporary, I probably won't bother.
  5. I don't know whether to lol or *facepalm*.
  6. None of us would think it's "good". But at that point, none of us would care.
  7. Even if there was someone who 'directly supported' it, which cannot be proven or disproven by either of us, I HIGHLY doubt that it was sincere. But you know us PWNZers, out to ruin everyone's day for realz.
  8. So you see nothing wrong with what Sixy did?

OMG YOU'RE CONDONING IT REPORTED PMED

Well, he didn't reply to every suggestion that way, just the ones he felt were stupid. And often when asked to elaborate on why he said no, he would.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Funny, I've seen completely the opposite of what you describe. Every reply to a suggestion was "no". The only more elaborate replies were when people got onto him about it, then it wasn't to expand on his supposed objection to the post, it was to protest his right to post however he wants or otherwise argue with people.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Funny, I've seen people that derail entire threads to attack his right to post "no", rather than continue to discuss their own or his opinion.
  10. [ QUOTE ]
This isn't a matter of opinion. It's fact. And he made no effort to hide it. If you honestly can't see that, it's pretty sad.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Please, prove to me that he was trolling in every thread he replied to with "no". That's the only way I will be convinced it's a matter of fact.

Yet if you're not breaking the rules, you've got nothing to worry about

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, tell that to jranger who didn't break any rules.
These new "/jranger is bannable" rules were invented to give them a reason to have him banned.

Search his posts. He doesn't insult, he doesn't flame he simply replies "no" to a lot of bad ideas. There was NOTHING in the rules stateing he couldn't do that.

    [/ QUOTE ]

No, he replied "no" to ALL the ideas. I don't see how anyone can argue that he was being anything but a troll.

Seriously, when did half of this forum have lobotomies?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Since when replying No to something meant anything else than disgreeing with the OP? What is wrong with that? And what is wrong with disagreeing with EVERY darn suggestions that were posted? I see no problem with that. He posted his own disagreement and never were any of you disallowed to simply overlook his reply and move along. How could he harm anyone?

    [/ QUOTE ]

What's wrong with it is he was very OBVIOUSLY doing it to troll. And I don't believe for one second that you don't know that yourself. JRanger was a troll. Period. He did it because it annoyed people, and if you followed his post history, there is absolutely NO way you can deny that. He got off on the attention he got from it, and it finally came back to bite him in the butt. He's not a martyr or a victim. He was a useless nuisance.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Sorry you saw his posts that way. In my opinion, which is just as valid as yours, he was not doing it to troll.

    [censored] you [censored].

Hey, Grinnz ... you're not helping yourself, with this stuff.

    [/ QUOTE ]
I don't need to. If I get banned from the forums because of people who can't take a joke, I'll be banned from the forums where people who can't take a joke are. Oh well.

Well, let me put it this way:

If PWNZ goes away, every poster will probably go on a rampage with the express purpose of getting themselves banned. Read: not pleasant for the mods.

I doubt the forum will be going away.

    [/ QUOTE ]

In the real world thats akin to blackmail

    [/ QUOTE ]
I wasn't making a threat or something, that's just what would naturally happen.

Post: No. Your idea is stupid. Next time, please don't waste our time posting gibberish that has been spewed here before. Five minutes of forum searching would have shown how wrong you are. Good day.

    [/ QUOTE ]
It's ironic that you said this in reply to Muad, as he is the poster most likely to use that response.
  15. Bill -

My laptop's manufacturer (IBM) FINALLY released a driver that doesn't seem to suck (Mobility FireGL V3200, ATI basically says "Use the manufacturer's drivers" and any Mobility drivers out there are for Radeons not FireGLs, Mobility Radeon drivers just won't install).
Now following your settings for the most part, I've gotten it to look decent, but for some reason shadows are a little screwed up. I haven't played with it much but right now I'm looking at a lamp post and it's causing a wall of shadow between the top and the ground, where the shadow is projected. Any idea if there's a setting that will fix this or something I need to disable? If not, I can live with it.

EDIT: Also, not sure what Catalyst version I'm using, all it says for Catalyst version is "2007.0719.2203.37512", for driver version "8.383.1.1.3-070621a2-051036C", not very helpful.

So yes, you do advocate an atmosphere of suspicion and paranoia directed at one's fellow posters, because you do think one should have to go through any possible quotes with aforementioned fine-toothed comb.

Thank you for confirming that sad fact.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The quote feature is just a tool to make responses more clear and concise - it is still as if you have written it. Just like when you quote someone in real life.

    [censored].

In [omitted], if I [censored] what I purport to be [censored], I am in fact [omitted] of [censored] the [censored] involved. Furthermore, I have had [omitted] go absolutely [censored] on me for simple [omitted] as I have been here - in [censored] and [censored]. What do you think will happen if I start [censored] [omitted] or [censored] in place of questionable [censored], [omitted], or even whole [cows]?

    [censored], is what.

So Ex, did you neglect to mention the PvP forums as exempt, or will all of PWNZ be banned come tuesday?

You say that like it's a bad thing. :P
