Actually, it does - co-op content has to be heroic, otherwise Heroes wouldn't be able to play it.
These are the current co-op contacts in the game:
Imeprious
Marcus Valerius
Lady Gray
Dark Watcher
Serpent Drummer
Gaussian
Borea
Levantera
Apex
Tin Mage
None of them give unheroic missions or arcs - they're all based around protecting and saving people and places from enemies ranging from rogue Vangaurd and vigilante Longbow to Rikti, Nemesis, Cimeroran traitors, Nictus, 5th Column and loyalists.
And now Prometheus is being added to the game as a contact/guide for the new co-op content - which is also about protecting and saving people and palces from the evil loyalists.
Co-op content is always heroic, because Villains might do something good in the hope of being able to do something evil later, but Heroes will only ever do good things.
Villains can save the world or try and take it over - Heroes can only ever save the world - so when the devs are making co-op content, it has to be about saving the world, as that's the only option that both sides can play.
That's correct - Hero content is only ever fighting bad people - like Longbow are a heroic force, but when we fight them, it's because they've turned bad - we're still Heroes.Quote:since NPCs were targetable by heroes they were therefore evil.
Or on Roy Colling's arc - when we fight the PPD, it's only because they've turned bad.
Every single enemy we fight is a threat to innocent people and often the whole world too - but Villains fight other villain groups all the time, and they're both still evil. -
Quote:Him being a co-op contact - co-op = heroic by defaultWhat makes you think he's a trustworthy source? His say-so?

The devs might show a little mercy before I20 goes live

In I20, Prometheus says that Tyrant has to be dealt with first before we can start thinking about the Coming Storm.

If you're uncertain about any e-mails you get, contact one of the Mods here, and ask them to check if it's real or not.

That wouldn't tie in with the Praetorian invasion - any solo Incarnate content would need to be themed around Tyrant's attempt to conquer the multiverse, so it'd match up with the normal stuff.

-
The normal character copy tool works for the Beta server as well as the Test server.
-
I'm not sure if everyone's going to be an auto-Incarnate or not, so you should use the normal character copy tool to move an Incarnate avatar onto Beta just to be sure.
-
I'm not sure if they're going to give everyone an Incarnate slot automatically or not, so if you don't already have an Incarnate avatar on the Beta server, you should probably copy one over right away, just to be certain.
-
As long as your Beta server is patched and up to date, that's all you need to do.
-
You need to be patient about solo Incarnate stuff

Quote:Here you go:I don't have test installed currently. Is there a way thru the launcher to do so?
Quote:If you have the NCsoft Launcher but do not have the Training Room installed:
1. Run NCsoft Launcher shortcut to get the latest update.
2. The NCsoft Launcher will start.
3. Create a copy of the NCsoft Launcher desktop shortcut.
4. Right click on the new shortcut and open the Properties option.
5. In the Target window, add the following flag to the end of the line:
[space]/LaunchGame=CohTest
6. Run the shortcut.
7. The NCsoft Launcher will open, starting a City of Heroes Test installation.
8. Click Install.
9. If you are on Windows Vista or Windows 7, confirm the UAC prompts. (if UAC is turned on).
10. After the installation completes, double-click CITY OF HEROES TEST in the NCsoft Launcher’s games list to play. -

Quote:Don't forget that Tyrant's armies are the only Incarnate enemies we've fought so far - Tyrant might form alliances with other known and unknown factions in the multiverse, who he'd then empower via the Well - so there might be other pet options further down the line.Yeah, I guess that makes a certain kind of sense. Sadly, the implementation is forever going to make me think of what they should have done instead (the sidekick NPC). Imbuing some of your own power onto a tag-along NPC of your own design? Yeah... I know that's harder to do, by a long shot. So. Close (in mah head).
