David I don't know if there are much plans to expand on the supergroup base system and I am unsure of where is the best place to post this but I would like know if there can be another thread similar to this one only other than being non-player costume requests being a thread for non-player elements or items for request for the base editor system. I do like the base editor I have spent weeks where I spent hours upon hours making different rooms.
I would also like to see the base system updated to have Telepads for the new zones I would like to see the base plots updated to allow for more Telepads.
That said I have some screen shot for request should I post the here or will there be another thread. -
Antoinette I like your idea for I'll call it, Soul Path Aura! Looking at the images you brought to mind an idea that I would like to see. In Image you posted where the character is standing and the energy is circling various parts of the character's body I would like a to see something similar to this the little more detail to the energy patterns. What I'm envisioning could be called spectral serpent's or dragons with those trails spinning the body in various places could have the appearance of Oriental style dragons or some sort of serpent that circles the body.
Continuing this idea looking at the images you have for the running and flying would have these serpents or dragons trailing after the character as they move undulating in the air.
Some Trails could be a fun feature with this idea be for the dragons if dragons were used to leave trails behind them for instance if we were per train a water dragon those that were closest to the ground leave a water trail or any instance of a fire Dragon leave a small trail of fire behind them burning on the ground when a character runs and the dragons off the ground could lead small smoke or steam trails when the character runs or flies. -
Booster Sets Ideas many of which contain FX.
I think booster sets that build on one another sets should; add new functionality, add a new power or ability, new signature moves or animation, emotes , new costume change effects, and add new costume elements, possibly some in new aura effects.
some ideas I head fore sets are as fallows and I will go more in to detail as I can. Though I can see a lot of areas where sets could cross or even overlap.
Luminosity , Elemental , Techknolage boom, Time travel through orbrother has brought forth, a historic costume set,
Animalistic types; The Furred "the malmoles arise", The Feathered, The Reptiles, The insect invasion "beware the swarm", The oceans revenge,There is a lot of room for inspiration within the animal kingdom.
I have to admit when I heard that the new mutant booster pack was going to include bioluminescence the ideas I came up with were far different from what I saw when I got the booster. Though I'm not displeased with the booster there some features I had imagined it might be good for a subsequent booster pack possibly a luminescent booster pack. Considered the ideal bioluminescence I had thought of the idea working that when you've selected your colors for an aspect of your costume you could check whether not you wanted to have it luminescent or not and then use a slider bar off to the side fit would give you the ability two set the level luminosity he wished or how bright it should be, what this could possibly be achieved by setting some sort of bleed for the various colors that were selected to be luminescent and adjustment to bleed out from the color area creating the effect, this would also allow are people do things such as dark light as opposed to just the right colors.
A similar slider could be done to give the optional opacity allowing something to be translucent rather than always being opaque if does they will be done for various costume pieces for single color within the costume and peace that a lot of variability to costumes as well as making some existing costumes to the skin through or a shear costume effect.
I did have some ideas for things could be added as elements to some these various set ideas.
For luminosity booster pack I thought the luminosity slider bar option would be a nice addition, as for powers I thought a power borrowing some from the idea of the Angler Fish, which is a deep-sea fish which uses a bioluminescent lure to entice pray into a place where he can get them. I thought this could translate to gameplay with the bio luminescent booster pack would the effect of essentially creating a lighted spot on the wall or floor which could be used to different ways if done a away from your location could help lure enemies away thereby freeing the player the ability to sync by, or it could be used as a taunt to bring the enemies forward into a trap. A new aura for the is set could be fireflies. Here are some picts of bio luminescent animals and some tech images.
For Elemental booster pack I thought the slider bar for opacity like the one for luminosity would be a nice addition with this set. Having a opacity slider bar would allow for creating effects for this set like an translucent Ice or gem look, if the previous luminosity had been they could be used to they could be used to create additional effects like magma or some sort of glowing mystical crystal, because we used to heighten the abilities with other set types if they were a global effect tied two individual colors within the costume creating glowing or translucent effects on other custom types. Some other costume type elemental ideas that I can think of would be fiery wings like those you see during the use of the power rise of the Phoenix. A couple of custum color maps for the Stome look could give the ability to look like it has a molten core.
I thought the insect booster would be a good place to introduce some color effects they could also be global though they might be problematic in the way of a programming nightmare I don't think they be too much more problematic than the others just party made for luminosity and opacity, this would be with the introduction of the insect booster would be some metallic or iridescent color options I'll provide some pictures but this could also give the effect to smother costumes of having an oil slick tight finish depend on how it was was done.
I thought a power to come with amphibian type booster would be poisonous skin it's effect would essence create a feedback on inning melee damage done to the character in essence if someone touched the characters they would take some damage as well this is not affect abilities that were arranged. -
I posted this in the super booster thread but it would I believe fit here as well.
An idea I have, but one sure from which area post animation or Art, so posted here, is some head orientation similar to the crest of a bird that would lay looking like hair, and would activate raising the alert during combat. This would operate on the same cues to the combat auras.Some other variations of this but I would like would be single row spikes order a triple row spikes running from the head down the spine and if possible along the top of the tail it also Leigh fairly flat looking like some sort of design and stand up during combat, or another idea would be a hood like a cobra that would lay looking similar to the Egyptian hood only less prooffy it would also raise during combat like a cobra does in real life.
can I know it's been mentioned elsewhere but I thought of mentioning here and cast my vote is for snakes for hair like Medusa. It would be best if these could be animated so you while idle this makes it continue move in combat you started the the snakes could strike in hits snapping at the opponents .More than one coloration a snake would be cool for instance some of the coloration of a coral snake or Green snake I'm sure you find many other options for awesome looking snake patterns for the snakes.
images she has a rattlesnake tail but I mention it is this another custom element I would like it could also have a combat type mode or changed its animation rattling combat. A similar one of the snakes for hair Medusa hair they could use the same or very close wireframe with a different skin would be to make tentacle hair that would move and just as the snake snap and hiss during combat the tentacles could in you out.

Can we please get a few Arachnoid parts? Like Head, Feet(would work great for reptoid toons), chest(probably not harder to make than the Clockwork chest) and back.
What we currently have for insectoid(and I´m fully aware that spiders aren´t insects, but anyway) faces is just meh.

The tentacles from DevEarth Devoured Pyriss could also be used to make chin detail like captain Davy Jones.
My attempt at animation looks really bad but you get the idea. -
I am excited for the new content First Ward from the screen shots I've seen looks cool and The Underground looks cool it is nice to see some mineral features to the caves finally something that looks like a a stalactite or stalagmites. Though I am a little sad to see the attack on Galaxy City was awesome and don't we have enough bombed out areas. I hear the struggling to rebuild but com on how many trashed out areas do we need. Can we fix some of them up I mean seriously we have so many supper powered people in the cities you'd think there would be a superpowered construction company that could expedite things some. There are many great ideas in the All Things Art: Building Edition. We also have Aliens we need some neighborhood that were designed and in habited by the the Aliens that have peacefully settled.

I would be interested to hear what thought got any one there talking as a cool possibility even if invisible at the present time. Or to say that ideas here have generated some interest and cool things are in the pipeline. -

The colors on many of these have been changed in the contact selector in ae these to explore current tinting ability. This provided a great place to capture images.
Some good examples of this would be for steampunk pack elements from the Ourbro, the Nemesis, the Goldbrickers, and the clockwork NPC groups would definitely provide excellent elements to this pack.
For tribal or savage pack there many elements that could be grabbed from existing characters as well like the jewelry from the snakes from the red side of the house and loincloths from the Arachnoid, Shaman, Rularuu Noble Brute,

Tactical pack this would have all sorts of different quivers, sheath, holsters backpacked you name it.

The Ritki have and shoulder chest detail that would be cool, on their back is what looks like a cool jet pack. The feet and hands could be monstrous options as well, the have three fingers, on their feet thy have what could be some awesome rocket boots.
Many of these would be cool additions to our technical options, I would like one definite I'd Cray Scorpinoid Stinger's tail we don't have any exclusive tech tails yet.

I think many of these could be cut apart and rescaled to give many other to make outhe cool uper arms , hands , shoulders, feet, legs I have to comment here that prior to the release of going rogue I hadn't had much interest in robotic parts or with the cyborg part as the parts they been available before did not seem to give enough options to make real customization but with the introduction of the clockwork parts I am finding them not interested in making these were characters. I just want to give kudos art team it made them the many levels of detail truly amazing great job on those I can't wait to see more like.

If faces by part are done I want the animated Cyclops eye, many other part could make cool face aditions, many of the faces in this set would be cool to have further but a lot of these have feet and hands variations existing game it would be great to be able have in designer characters. But if you look at Lost Pariah Prelate he's got three fingers very different looking feet letting these are similar to those of the Rikti. I'd like to mention here if the back detail of the Arachnoids are cool and I had wished I had them I thought they would've come along with the other features and I had gotten a character to level 50 on the red side and was disappointed when they didn't.

I found AE was a good place to obtain samples using NPC as contacts on some you can even play with tinting them diffrntly, I have to admit that this temps me all the more.

I would like to see mirror is inside the icon so you look at your toon from other angles. Also as I mentioned elsewhere the idea of having a hedge maze I would also be closed to have an area where there was a mirror maze one That could be used fore both missions and accessed when not on a mission. You could have a mission for instance having to go find a particular object and to battle enemies in there mirrors it would make things interesting it could be a area that causes a hit to debuff to al in side due to it's disorienting effect. .

City ideas city of heroes and city of architecture idea
The ability actually choose a secret entrance for your base that would be fitting for the style supergroup you have whether that be a cave type entrance or door from a building or manhole .

We need to have more buildings and caves and other areas we can enter with out having to be on a mission.
I like to see zoos, Aquariums, pet stores(they could possibly sell pet enhancements or for those who have veteran pets offer more selection from here like a icon for pets), museums, art museums, libraries, shopping centers, Malls, grocery stores, some suburb type areas.
Schools with with playgrounds kids of heroes demonstrating some powers, we need to see some children in city of heroes after Sunday's models of undeveloped for non-player characters possibly some options could be available for player characters so you'd start a hero out is a youth and progress into adult.
General I like to see some critters in the city, non-player things like; cats, dogs, children, flying monkeys, I mean pigeons pigeons. With the emergence of going rogue in the interests of exploring the shades of gray between heroes and villains it would be nice to be able to have the option to destroy or harrass some of critters and non player characters.
We need more content the upper reaches of the buildings are so many characters of abilities like super jump and fly they can go the top of the skyscrapers but what's the point there's nothing up there. We have several options of different enemy that fly they could be used to add some diversity to those areas. Some Roof top gardens could also add more diversity to the upper reaches of the buildings and provide more places to meet .
I'd like to see different areas within the zones that shows the different styles of characters back stories we have characters coming from all sorts of different areas with people having their own ideas of their organs whether that be an alien has come to earth, mutated person, or something anachronistic. In these areas who want shops both apartment and single residence type homes for those of the various origins. See what a section of the city that was built by some of various alien groups inhabit and inhabited by them would look like.
Also would be neat to have the buildings littering every city be customized further theme or feel that area of the city in which they are Namely the AE, Hospitals, Wentworths, banks.
I also agree that there should be an AE building or in a a complex accessible from Pocket D though I would like to see a different style building for it.
Have a few more areas with ruins were ancient buildings with some small villages or still used ancient buildings for those of arcane or can. This would be a good place for the Circle of thorns enemy group as well as some of the devouring Earth enemy group. This would be and area to hose some of the savage heros who have no interest in liking in an apartment.
Perez got more Gothic style buildings code be good to have some of the various types of buildings still scattered everyone's wants on the other areas as though remnants of the city before you have signs out front on about the area were even non-player characters handing out leaflets saying "Save this clock tower"
We have an area using a lot of Victorian and Art Nouveau architecture and populated with steam punk looking characters shops, for instance a lot of the characters seem to me our brothers area have a steam punk look also do it from Nemesis and clock work this would be a good place for the origins of the clock work.
Turn type buildings below most of the buildings in the not-too-distant past were pretty boring they are starting to put little bit more artistic flair back into things.
And if we have a lot of high tech is based characters we need some high-tech city areas with flying cars high-tech looking buildings more high-tech mall and it amused them part it would be in some the other areas. Also think it would be fitting for the hero side of the high-tech to be more green or eco-friendly featuring things like green energy production buildings or aspects there were also aesthetically pleasing.Conversely the high-tech area of the villain side would still have some aesthetically pleasing areas but not far from there it had to polluted industrial complexes that were being used to maintain the tech or pleasing edifices. But like some other cave type designs like Crystal caves or the traditional case with stalagmites of stalactites and of the various flow stones indicated the need to have some cave dwelling denizens different critters some of which would be bioluminescent.I'd like having caves that could transition from one type to another and lead you places other than where you started. I'd like caves with tunnels that lead off in different directions, up, down, left, right, caves with water that could reflect and splash as you run through them and deep areas that you have to swim or dive beneath the water to get from one cavern to another. I'd like the ability to dive and swim under the water in general some thing we can not currently do but would add depth and new areas to explore with in existing zones which may have been there all along.
I would also like to see some areas under the water, here are some ideas for underwater buildings, not all the buildings in this example are under water but to me that looked like they could be turned in to some.What is down there in City of Heros?
I would like to have my super group base entrance from in a cave and open to an underwater structure with option for glass sides and top in palaces , so you could look out on a reef or ship wreak with the occasional fish or seabeast to swim by or over of even a boat to pass over.
Some one mentioned China town and a Oriental garden with koi pond defiantly a must, how about a hedge maze.

Here are some mock up for some character mask part (i.e. Detail 2 items ideas) most of the beast one were just cropped and move a little with the exception of beast 2 which was distorted to fit. The Oni Guard and Mandible are simply used here apart from the half helm. The last two were some ideas i was playing with.
These are some quick ones I will send some more as I get them done I have lots Of Ideas. By the way in the time I have been playing I have been impressed with each new addition the art keeps getting better, and once I started reading through the suggestions here I was even more amazed to see all the requests you have been filling. You guys are truly awesome. -
I am still rather new to the forum seen though I have been a member quite a while, though occasionally I look at a few posts but did not in a post myself. I recently post most of this following post on another section of the forums in the going rouge section and some suggested that it would have been better posted in the development form so here it is.
I've been playing the game city of heroes for little over a year now and greatly enjoy the game I've enjoyed seeing different aspects of the game evolve with the release of several different updates and look forward to the launch of going rogue. There are several of my villain characters I would love to be a will bring into paragon city and join my supergroup there.
I think the idea of heroes having the ability to fall and become a villain and villains being able to overcome their nature and emerge as heroes is an interesting and exciting change to the city of heroes seen
With this I wonder if some changes are or could be made to supergroups allowing them to not necessarily just be a villain group or a hero group or rather simply that a supergroup. The things the group may decide to do may be viewed as good by some and bad by others, just as was said in the announcements that going rogue will dive into and explore the shades of gray between heroes and villains adding new dynamics and intricacies to the characters.
If supergroups are going to be able to be allowed to have both heroes and villains to be nice to add some features that allow you to combine supergroups so that two groups perhaps one of the villain group one that was a hero group could combine and become one group.
Two supergroups could be accomplished by deciding which base was going to be kept and then everything besides the crafted items being converted into prestige, keeping one of the two bases in converting the other to prestige. The items been crafted for the base that would be disappearing would instead go into the supergroup leaders or a communal inventory so that any one with access to edit the base could place it in the new main base for the supergroup without costing a second fee and prestige to place the items.
Or how about auctions selling all the bases that aren't being used.
Another thing I think would be nice to have with the supergroups would be able to set up a listing for supergroups to hold an open house perhaps in the window that allows you to log in to the very supergroups portals there could be a tab for open houses this would give players the ability to take a look at various other supergroups bases and get ideas on how to create their own also would open up areas for contest as to supergroup base design's. They would also be a welcome message to visiting heroes or villains to the various bases that could be used as a recruitment tool for those bases to visiting heroes or villains they could possibly sign a request in a computer in the base or a request for membership at such time and e-mail supergroup membership offer could be sent to the visiting player at his request was reviewed by the leaders of the super. This could add a whole new dynamic to the supergroups supergroup bases.
Some of the dynamic things would be fun video at the supergroup bases would be things such as the ability to create water features without having to use the slow field (which don't look as good since issue 17 ) to create this effect things like a water fountain waterfalls create different sorts of effects. To see I would also like to see more new items added in the way of decoration items for the bases not necessarily crafting new items but using morgue this time but already been used elsewhere and again I perhaps the hanging skeletons that are in the villain side. Some changes I would enjoy seeing for the editing of supergroup bases would be perhaps in the item info window a place where percentage could be entered in so that the item could be scaled to a certain percentage this could also be used as a way to slimmed down from the selections as were we already have to a particular item for instance the large medium small stone blocks either just have the stone block and radio buttons to select which style of stone block you want. In doing this you can store once slot the stone block and then reference the existing size options as a set percentage of the stone block the same concept could be used within a areas. Auto select feature different variations of the crystals and having the option to tint them different colors would be really cool. Also enjoy seeing a light-ball similar to the sprites in the hollows more like just a light ball that you place where we wanted to create lighting your base you could perhaps put it in the eyes of the stone head and its eyes glowed having the ability to tint or maybe selected different pulse rate or something like that and perhaps the general brightness would give the ability to create even more custom lighting affects the bases.
Or be able to use your supergroup base as a setting for architect mission allowing for mock raids or mock battles within your base.
Perhaps having the ability to move an object round using arrow keys were the same keys you'd normally used to move a character around wall and conjunction may be holding down the option key or something like that would allow for more precise and ease with the positioning some items.

More items to decorate with would be nice not necessarily crafting new things but using existing elements from the game like the hanging skeletons or other crystal shapes. More ability to customize items in the bases like changing the size of different items storing the different size as a percentage and some thing that currently have more than one size the other sizes name could also be linked to this new feature as a set percentage. I would also like a light ball that could tinted and brightness adjusted and be paced to create different effects like glowing eyes in the stone faces.

Oni Guard and other head detail Combinations
The first of which is I purchased a martial arts booster pack when the main things that got me to buy more sports booster pack was the image I saw on the preview of the oni guard and was disappointed when I purchased it on the oni guard locked in to the use in conjunction with a half helmet. I would like to see this unlocked the to be open as chin piece there lots of different looks it could be achieved by being able to use this separate from the half helmets. Similarly I would like to have the ability to to have goggles an horns at the same time. See the attached photoshopped image.
Some other mouth and nose mouth and eye details that could be used to over lay existing faces to add more ability to customize the faces. I would pay extra for a large bucket of parts booster.

Attack Animations that Utilize costume elements.
It would be interesting see animations to taken advantage of various aspects of a character's appearance such as if the character had horns some animations for the rolling effect could be in the event that a character had the ram type horn they could head but their opponent knocking them back, or in the event of rhino or bullhorns they could have the effect of picking up the opponent and flipping them back goring them on the horns in this animation have much the same effect as does the air superiority.

Different pet selections for customizing MasterMinds
Different pet selections for masterminds would be a nice feature, zombie selections should be relatively easy as you have already develop many zombies that appeared during the zombie attacks on various cities should not be that hard to create another menu in the customizing area for the powers to allow masterminds select slightly different forms for their zombies. This would greatly in advance the ability to customize an individual character's powers and also add a lot of variety to the game so you don't see a whole bunch of necromancers ran around with the identical looking zombies with different names above their heads. In tinting feature for customizing the characters thinks it could be tinting colors for the characters would be in the colors of the zombies clothing or hair or such things. So if a necromancer wanted to have a mobof female zombie secretaries they could have it. The same principles could be applied to the other mastermind powers.

Holographic symbol summon help emote could be fun with the chest symbols would be a holographic chess symbol that could be in the form of being an emote when someone is in trouble and looking for a they could send out a help broadcast that would also project a hologram of the chest symbol or the supergroup symbol into the air (similar to the concept of the bat symbol) thereby calling your supergroup members within sight or other heroes/villains to come to your aid. This might also have a slight effect on the opposing party may make them hesitate for a second combat. -

For the ability to grow and shrink would be a fun ability and add a lot to the variety seen in the game though this could be problematic with understanding the dynamics of the ability and deciding on attack powers or whether this would be a defensive ability I see some aspects for each within the idea. I considered the concept of using ratios that would vary depending on the size and the level of the character of these ratios in some areas would lessen as the character advanced in level. Some examples of these would be accuracy accuracy would be greater when smaller and less accurate when larger though area effects will cover a larger area when large and small. Similarly when large carriage could take much more damage than they could when small. Trying to do what types of combat moves could be use of this power would be an interesting discussion as different types of moves would work better large and small and other moves would work better small and large. For instance a large stomping move to shake the ground or smash an opponent would work when large but would be next to useless when small. Whereas something like a precise sting would be more effective when small man trying to sting some of your large. It would be interesting to see a player be able to fight the Jack in Irons on the same scale though he probably would not be nearly as strong.
But I have not seen yet in this city of heroes game which could be interesting would be the ability to stretch going see how this may not be included as a probably be a programming nightmare of this another ability they would have both affects and offenses and defenses abilities, as a character's elasticity could offer a natural defense to lot of percussive type blows or smashing blows, tough it would also be more effected to temperature, subsequently fire and ice would have interesting effects. -
Oni Guard and other head detail Combinations
The first of which is I purchased a martial arts booster pack when the main things that got me to buy more sports booster pack was the image I saw on the preview of the oni guard and was disappointed when I purchased it on the oni guard locked in to the use in conjunction with a half helmet. I would like to see this unlocked the to be open as chin piece there lots of different looks it could be achieved by being able to use this separate from the half helmets. Similarly I would like to have the ability to to have goggles an horns at the same time. See the attached photoshopped image.
Some other mouth and nose mouth and eye details that could be used to over lay existing faces to add more ability to customize the faces. I would pay extra for a large bucket of parts booster.

Attack Animations that Utilize costume elements.
It would be interesting see animations to taken advantage of various aspects of a character's appearance such as if the character had horns some animations for the rolling effect could be in the event that a character had the ram type horn they could head but their opponent knocking them back, or in the event of rhino or bullhorns they could have the effect of picking up the opponent and flipping them back goring them on the horns in this animation have much the same effect as does the air superiority.
