And the facts about our ancestors were that, Americans are our cousins as Mr Chris Collumbass was after all British so I told this guy on Xbox live , about 3 years back, to go home! He quickly shut up
[/ QUOTE ]
Whilst I don't like the imagery of 'ganging up' on any one person...Christopher Columbus was Italian. Also, he didn't exactly discover America, as some Vikings colonised Newfoundland (Canada and America not being two different countries at the time) at around 1006....some 445 years before Columbus was born.
Also...

But don't you think it was slightly rude of you to criticise someone's misuse of English when you're as bad?
[/ QUOTE ]
Can we get the obvious Ralph Wiggum quote done, please? -
[ QUOTE ]
Just watching it through for a second time, and I notice you say 'Ask A Ben 11' rather than 'Ask A Ben 12' Er... Oops?
WHY?
[/ QUOTE ]
I wanted to see if anyone actually pays attention. Congratulations, though, you win Issue Seven. You also win a brand new BMW, World Cup tickets, and your very own pegasus, called Feathers. He'll eat the souls of your enemies. -

...hamunah huh?

Doo doo, de doo doo -
With a site update on the way (meaning, as soon as I can shift through all these job application forms, so probably on the weekend) I thought I'd leave you guys with Ask A Ben - Episode 12

...i think she did a great job seing as u obviously sprung it on her...
[/ QUOTE ]
Other than the fact that she jumped at the chance to do it, and that she made me wait a week for her to get her hair done before she'd film it, you're absolutely correct. -

Opera is getting Bit torrent support very soon if that helps to whet your appetite, it only take 2 seconds to install:
[/ QUOTE ]
One of the things that attracted Firefox to me was the Torrent support, but it kept crashing my computer, despite the Torrent plug-in being compatible with the FF version I used. I eventually gave up all hope of using the Torrent plug-in. -

i'm a closet AaB fan.
i just wanted to say, you should go on pop idol or x-factor!

I applied...last year? Two years ago? I didn't get very far. They didn't even show me on TV.
And, as for Super_Heroine not knowing who the mystery guest would be...that's why it's a mystery guest. -

Or your shirt is actually a Chronomanipulation Unit. Who knows!
[/ QUOTE ]
Shhhh! Don't tell them all!
[/ QUOTE ]
But couldn't you have used it to speed up your work on #11?
[/ QUOTE ]
Perfection is an artform. Maybe, someday, you'll come to grips with some akin to the perfection presented by myself and some of the other people here.
Until then...keep dreaming. -

It's like an episode of Graham Torrington's Late Night Love! And a Stasis!
FG, your shirt in that looks like my androids supergroup base interior, by the way.
Though one of the guys I work with sung that song at the end to our boss as a joke, so it cracked me up. A lot.
[/ QUOTE ]
Your androids' SG base interior is, therefore, extremely cool. -
[ QUOTE ]
Not that sort - just something funny, but tasteful
[/ QUOTE ]
Maybe if I'm compelled to write another one, I'll include pictures.
Anyway! The long awaited (since yesterday, in other words) Episode Ten is NOW UP! Enjoy. -

Look here, mister - I like my social commentaries illustrated - and not only do I like 'em that way, I expect 'em that way too.
So I suggest you redo that page, with pictures
[/ QUOTE ]
A social commentary about online relationships...with pictures? What sort of pictures could possibly be taken to sh....ohhhh, I see.

Works fine with firefox, ditch that IE already

Too lazy - tell me if the pictures are worth it
[/ QUOTE ]
There are...no...picture....on that page!
[/ QUOTE ]
But...but all those cute little red crosses?
[/ QUOTE ]
IE sucks.
There's no reason those boxes should be there. -
To design the pages, I use a mixture of tools. Firstly, the conceptual design goes through a Wysiwyg designer called WebDwarf. Then, I look at the code, see what can and can't be done realistically, without involving Java, Flash, etc, and type up the HTML code in Notepad, before transferring it into Netscape Composer.
Then, I check it out using Netscape and Firefox, before uploading it. The social commentary is, to the best of my knowledge, the only page that people are having problems with, and if people are still having issues, I'll C+P it onto a post here...or transfer it to my blog. Either way.
Still no news on Episode 10. -

Nope, comment still not working for me!!
Episode 11 worked though.............
And im gessing #10 not working yet? as thats still not showing up either!!
[/ QUOTE ]
I'll say this for the third and final time.
Episode 10 is finished. It's completed. However, I can't upload it yet, because I need to get the okay from someone else. As soon as that okay's given, which will hopefully be tomorrow, then it'll go up. Until then, breathe. -
Not working? That can't be right...hang on.
...That's odd. I ran the site through IE (which, for the record, I never use...EVER, so there'd be nothing in the cache) and the site worked fine for me, except for the social commentary. All I got from that was a series of broken picture links...which is very bizarre, because other than the title banner, there -are- no pictures on that page. I saved it in IE to my desktop, then opened the file from my desktop using Netscape, and it came up fine.
Tres bizarre. Try again, but click the reload button liberally. -

WOW! ben i can safely say that was my favourite ever episode i absolutely loved it
what is that song i want it for my ipod its brilliant
and is it just me or have u been purposefully trying to make those cheeks a little chubbier just for mesilicon implants perhaps? oh well absolutely loved it and am off for a second viewing keep it up i look forward to seeing episode ten
[/ QUOTE ]
The song was called The Riddle, and it's a pretty sweet tune.
As for episode 10...it isn't actually that humourous. It's more of an informative webcast about online dating. Although the episode isn't up yet, I wrote a Social Commentary about it, which is up and online. -

Episode 10 isnt working
But loved that sequence on 11

Episode 10 hasn't been uploaded yet. It's complete, but I can't upload it until it's been looked over by a higher power. -
[ QUOTE ]
So...You spend 4½ hours working on how you show the question, then play the question TWICE, and then answer; "Maybe" ?
[/ QUOTE ]
....Maybe. -
[ QUOTE ]
Did you really spend that long on it?
[/ QUOTE ]
Absolutely. First, I had to get the music track, then slow it down enough to get the right section of the chorus. Then, I had to make the question placard, erase every word, a syllable at a time. After that, I had to open one of the video editing tools I have, slow the track down to 14% of the normal playing speed, and place every JPEG for the placard in the right place, restarting the music every time, so I could check the placing was accurate. If I was off by even a fraction of a second, it'd make the question look terrible. Sadly, I got halfway through the last line, when I realised the question that I'd been asked wasn't actually the precise wording of the song (thanks, Z!) so I had to start over, with that "but" that appears at the start of the last line. So, restarting it from remaking all the JPEG placards (which I had to do, otherwise the centred text would be thrown off by re-editing it all) I had to re-place the placards in the right places, and then figure out just where the "but" would come in. You have to figure that, even though it only last 21 seconds, each syllablic placard is only on-screen for maybe a third of a second, apart from the last words in each line. That means doing it correctly took a lot of patience, coffee, and intestinal fortitude.
Granted, I could have left the original question up, and not done the flashy text thing, but then...attention to detail is what seperates the men from the boys. -
Doing things completely backwards, Episode Eleven is up before Episode Ten!
(Episode 10's all finished and ready to be uploaded, but I need to run a few things past...uhm....you'll see)
This episode marks a huge leap forward for me, as I spent a loooong, looooooooooooong time getting things perfect. So, as ever, Click the link to view!
