  1. ((I'll step in to stop that. Even in the least dense of areas in space there is one particle of -something- to every 100 million parts space. Yes, especially in a heavily populated area, things would go rushing in there.

HOWEVER! The Earth would not stop spinning. It is in motion at all times from its rotation around the sun and its formation however long ago. Once it started spinning, it wouldn't stop unless something physically happened, either a large enough explosion or something crashing into the planet, that had enough force to reverse the spin. Considering that in the amount of life scientists claim that the Earth has lived, something like 4 known "space debris," large ones, have hit the surface, as well as our nuclear testing and such, it would take one HELL of a force to stop the Earth's spinning. In fact, a force that large would probably stop it spinning only because there isn't anything left to spin. The Earth would have been blown to bits in the process.

Don't get ahead of me :P The same applies to space. Long story short, some force that could stop and reverse the orbit of a planet around the Sun would destroy it in the process.

Also, gravity doesn't form wells like that. Black holes (which is what you're describing) are formed by massive amounts of matter forming together at such a dense percentage that essentially something the size of a speck of dust could cause a higher gravity pull than a good thousand of our suns. And that's a SMALL one. Scientists theorize that there's a black hole in the enter of every galaxy that, if not for the extreme speed that everything is travelling around it, would pull everything in.

Ok, I'll stop. Just don't get me started on spacial and universal physics <.< I'm a total and complete nerd for them. Long story short, that wouldn't happen. There would be a bit of a jerk at most, you might go ahead about 10 to 20 minutes day to time wise (so the sun would set a bit earlier), and you would be missing the moon, so the tides would dissapear. The moon can be repaired once Alex has time to do it, if the GoPC doesn't get to it first.))

Alex took the portal to H'taed with barely a nod, knowing what would be expected on the other side. It wouldn't be pretty.
  2. ((You and your tricks <.&lt)
  3. ((Maybe so! But it definitely isn't even close to being about inner peace, being a Keeper I mean. Alex is the least peaceful person you'll ever meet <.< Its all about the hidden potential. Generally, those who could become a Keeper show signs from a young age, anything from "disabilities" like ADD to actual super powers like Alex :P But anyway))

Alex lowered a hand towards the goo and it began to make a sound not unlike a high pitched whine as it slowed, but still continued to rise. She had sensed Shoshemi earlier, and her response came swiftly after the question.

"I believe you can. Its always nice to have one of the Li Long nearby. We should probably leave, before this gets much higher."

((Yeah, she couldn't stop it <.< She can affect reality, sure, but removing matter/energy completely from the universe would cause an inbalance, and anywhere she puts it could cause trouble eventually, seeing as its suh volatile stuff :P))
  4. ((Like I said, at a friend's house. His keyboard is crappy x.x as for "backing you up," I don't totally agree with it, but I can see where he's coming from. Diov is a pretty nasty thing to get involved with. Generally only something near the power of a god would have a chance... luckily Keeper powers are reinforced by the Council, who's powers rival that of gods. Alex couldn't fight Diov alone, but with the Council's help she'd have a decent shot o.o))

"Little pet dragon. Don't you wish you were your own being? Not controlled like some pawn on a chessboard? H'taed is using you to solve a problem. He's too afraid to fight me on his own, so he runs away and sends you in! I'm sure he doesn't even expect you to live. He's only buying himself time to escape me."

She didn't acknowledge the growing ball of energy and goo, and her voice strangly could be heard crystal clear above the chanting voices.

"You don't have to die now. If you wish, you can stop now, deny H'taed's control over you, and I will spare you."

    She shrugged, arms still crossed.

    "Your choice."
  5. ((hehehe, those monks sound similar to what's behind the Keepers. Every potential Keeper has that energy locked up inside them. When a previous Keeper is about to ascend into the Council, merely bringing their replacement to the Lands of the Ages is like turning the key. The chosen person only has to believe truly that they can trust the Keeper to be ascended, and those doors are opened. In a way, Syne is now Alex's mentor, just like for Syne, Kitar was hers. Kitar was similar to Alex in a way, he didn't hold back often, but he also doesn't have the skill of manipulation that Syne had, so he left gaping holes that Syne spent her entire time as Keeper having to correct. That's typically how Keepers and their Council Mentors work, alternating between hands on force, then repair. Every Keeper inherits their mentor's skills, however, and since Syne had such unbelievable skill in manipulation of the time stream, Alex also has that ability. Since she can do hands on work without holding back AND repair any damage she may make, she's a pretty awesome force.

Huh, I guess there isn't much similar after all XD Anyway, this post will have to be short x.x I'm at a friend's house, and his keyboard sucks... the C key isn't working right, I have to hit it like ten times...))

When the dragon charged, Alex seemed to move with it. If it increased in speed, so did she, and if it slowed, she did as well. Soon they were to the opposite side of the field, and just when Alex's back was going to crash into the wall, she simply blinked out of existance, not leaving much space between it and the dragon. She appeared near the highest point in the field's ceiling, watching with arms crossed.

((And you posted before me, nice creature! I love your ideas, we need to talk sometime :P))
  6. ((*claps* Much better! ^_^))

Alex stepped forward and held out a hand, a single flash coming from the palm. The blast hit mere seconds later, but seemed to go no farther, as if hitting a field not unlike what surrounded them. However, there was one difference. Another flash appeared behind the dragon, the energy shooting out and heading towards the dragon from behind. The attack had been jumped to another location in space, redirected towards its creator.

    ((Mwahahaha!))
  7. ((Have to stop you again :P If she can stop the ball in an instant when its going so fast towards the edge of the field, what would stop her from merely holding it in place against a push of energy? :P

Gotta think more creatively, man. No Keeper is someone you could beat with brute force, even the ones who pull their punches. Syne had to get tricked into something for H'taed to get his chance against her, the same would have to be done for Alex. Only difference is, Alex isn't holding back at all, so you'd have to think up a good strategy to get her to back off.))
  8. ((Stop. One, Alex stopped the movement of the ball and reversed it. Second, you said the field is a mile wide and high. How big is this dragon exactly? It would have to be a thousand feet in length for the ball to touch the field))
  9. ((I know, you didn't even give me time to edit my post <.&lt)
  10. ((GAH CROSS POSTING! XD))

And the tornadoes stopped. Merely stopped in their tracks, still spinning but going nowhere. Alex's piercing stare was directed towards the dragon now, the energy ball rising again and moving towards them.

    "You're a fun little creature, aren't you."

Of course little. She had seen much larger things in the billions of years and lives she had lived all in that short amount of time during her rebirth. Much more dangerous than this creature. Much more deadly.

"And do you know what happens to the smaller creatures?"

The energy ball floating over the dragon expanded, growing to a size almost twice in width as the dragon itself.
  11. ((Last page, a few posts from the bottom :P She just appeared. She isn't elegant in her movements like Syne was, she's very deliberate.

I should mention that Alex IS using the full power of the Keepers, meaning she's uses more than just the time stream, and not pulling any punches at all. Keepers manipulate the very base of reality, and everything inside it, when they need to. Most don't use this much power because it can seriously damage the time stream, but every Keeper learns from the previous ones everything they knew. Syne was the most masterful in the history of Keepers in modifying the time stream, and as such Alex now has that information. Syne was confident she could repair damages she might make, but was hesitant to use those abilities. Alex is not, being a rebel in her own right. Just be ready for what's easily described as wormholes, things disappearing or appearing when and where they shouldn't, and other crazy things. She has no problem ripping the time stream a new one :P))

Alex nodded and raised a hand, and the ball of energy stopped in its tracks before hitting the field. She moved her hand through the air, guiding the ball up and above the dragon. She then slammed her hand down, intending on shooting the ball into and through the dragon with massive force at the same time as the blast of energy from Krystell's sword.
  12. Alex shrugged and continued her walk around the edge of the fight, simply watching and looking a bit amused at times. She wouldn't interfere unless asked, or this woman was in mortal danger. Merely watching was enough entertainment for the moment.
  13. ((Damn you people post fast <.< in the amount of time its taken you two to get this far, I've made like two different posts XD))

There wasn't much of a reaction to the disappearance. Her arms crossed and she was gone.

And she was there. Just outside the forcefield dome. A moment of inspection and her right arm stretched out, a single finger tapping the outside of the dome. A small reaction, and a hole large enough for her to pass through, rimmed by a rippling pinkish energy, formed extending from the point she had touched. Through that she floated and to the ground, touching lightly. A slow, almost bored walk followed, heading towards the two figures battling.

"Would you like help?" She called, arms crossed a little distance away. She seemed to ignore that any attacks were being thrown at the moment.
  14. Alex listened calmly to Lord Diov's words, his little speech. When time resumed normal speed, she merely watched the fight as if the whole thing had never happened, save for a thought.

~He may be right, I don't fully understand all of this. But he also doesn't truly know what a Keeper is capable of, something that I am becoming more aware of with every moment. A Keeper is not one with time, they are above it. They manipulate everything involved with it, as well as anything it is involved with. The space outside of the Lands of the Ages is beyond time's bounds, beyond all bounds; it is where the Council is held. He cannot possibly know what the Council decides, none of us do. Only they truly know the workings of all.~

She stepped forward out of the crater, and unlike Syne she didn't leave any afterimages. This was not a sign of insufficient power... no... in fact it was the opposite. Unlike Syne, Alex did not restrain herself, she let the power flow. With greater breaking of ties, she would learn to mend. Larger threads broken, larger knots created. While Syne was so careful to only thread the eye of a small needle, Alex knew she could handle more. She would rip the fabric asunder, and weave a great tapestry from the scraps.

~The Council knows what is to come. I am but their hands...~

Her look changed to a piercing stare as she watched, armor shimmering in the light. The look was one that could be felt even by those so deep in combat.

    ~...and I will be a legend amongst the Keepers...~

((If anyone is wondering about the personality change, I'm trying to make her a lot more confident. Before she was just a super powered rebel teen, now she's a whole lot more, and she knows it. Also, Syne might reappear, I haven't decided yet, she might step in as one of the Council. And Alex is going to be overpowered in general, but there'll be a lot less time arguments, and a whole lot more of just butt kicking :P))
  15. ((Wow, just thought I'd say that this is turning into one hell of a fight. If it wasn't for the fact that I was expecting this from the first post I made, I would be pointing fingers right now :P

Anyway, I'm going to go a bit deep with this next one, to get my writing back up to snuff. Like I said before, I have an idea for another story, and this is the perfect place to practice a bit. Also, if you're wondering where I'm coming from with this post, go find and listen to "The Who - Baba O' Reilly." That's what I'm listening to as a write this up, so the post is gonna have a bit of that ethereal-like edge to it... I hope anyway.))

    --------------------------------------------------

"You have a hidden power, unknown to you."

The girl shook her head, eyes closed. She mumbled something incoherantly, pink hair ruffling against the hard surface she lay on.

"You may be the only hope to stop dark hands from reaching their goals."

Another shake, another mumble. The girl's leg moved, she was beginning to wake.

"You are no match for them now, but I can help you."

A larger movement now, the girl rolling from her side onto her back, eyes held tightly closed.

"I have a gift for you. It will unlock your true potential. You just have to trust me."

The girl mumbled again and tossed in her sleep.

    "Do you?"

    --------------------------------------------------

And Alex's eyes snapped open. She pushed herself off the ground, which wasn't anything similar to what she remembered. Not even close. She was laying on a dirt ground, eyes peering up to a pitch black sky. When she sat up she saw that the ground she was resting on was fairly wide, stretching on for miles in every direction, but at the same time there seemed to be islands just floating in the sky around her, so close and yet so far. The entirety of this place was a mystery, everything about it was so very odd. As she rose to her feet she had a moment of vertigo, as some of these islands in the "distance" seemed to shift more than others, and she realized that there were very small ones near her. Walking up to one she peered down, only to jump back in shock, as what she saw was herself standing up only a few moments ago. Another of these small "lands" was grey in color, and she looked down to see herself fighting H'taed in their first battle. She was weaving back and forth dodging his blows, she watched herself get slower and slower and slower... and had to turn away with a wince when the monster's blow struck.

"These are the Lands of the Ages."

Alex spun towards the voice, a tall woman in a pure white dress, which shone with what seemed like its own light, walked towards her. The woman was very beautiful, from her white hair all the way down to her delicate feet, shoeless, an odd sight to see in Alex's time.

"Do not be afraid, I am not here to hurt you. I am the Keeper of Ages. My name is Syne."

When the woman spoke her name, recognition rose in Alex's mind. She had never met this woman in her life, and yet somehow knew who she was. She also could sense the immense amount of power that was within this woman, it was almost overwhelming. Syne walked with a sense of confidence that was very rare, and while obviously able to cause massive destruction she kept it to herself, only using a fraction of what she was capable of. She was a being of great grace and gentleness.

"You are very right. I am capable of much more than some seem to think."

With that Syne waved her hand through the air, one of the smaller lands floating over to Alex. On it was almost a replay of Syne fighting H'taed, but Alex knew what this was. It was the real fight, they were watching it as it happened, just as she had just watched herself stand up a second time only a few moments ago. This wasn't video, it was reality.

"What H'taed saw was only what was needed to slow him down. He has a purpose in this world that he has not yet fulfilled, and cannot be lost until the time comes when this purpose is completed. All those everywhere have some purpose, as do you."

Alex looked up, still not speaking a word. In this place she felt very calm, unlike at home. She also felt like she knew what had happened during her time unconscious, and what was going to happen soon, and in the future. It was all laid out before her, ready to be read. The land floated away and Syne stepped forward, hands clasped together in front of her as she spoke.

"Your purpose is special, as is their's. You are one of them in a way, a superpower lies within you that is well within bounds of their's, and will grow even more with time. This is a unique event in history, one that only happens once a millenia, if that. Changing the time stream is a dangerous act, one that does not happen often. The extinction of the dinosaurs, the coming of the holy man Jesus, Hitler's reign of terror that, if not for a little push in the wrong direction, would have swept the world. These are things that were an abrupt intervention in your time, in your world."

Both Alex and Syne nodded at the same moment, a glow surrounding the both of them. They were linked down to their souls now, and Alex truly understood what was going on.

"You are a lesser intervention compared to these, but still important. This "package," still unknown to all what form it comes in, ultimately has the power to destroy your world and begin it anew. This is not something that any of us are ready for."

Alex spoke at this moment. "Us?"

Syne nodded, blue figures fading into view in a circle around the two of them. Men and women alike, they were all as beautiful as Syne, and all had a look of wisdom to them.

"This is the Council. The Keepers are immortal, but when we reach a certain level of understanding, we are brought into the Council, and replaced with a new Keeper. It is my time to ascend into the Council."

Alex nods. "So who is to become the Keeper?"

"Keepers who are to ascend look through the ages to find their successor. Some look for a large amount of your time, some very quickly. My search was one of the longest, but it has finally come to a close. Alexendri Drake, you are my choice as the Keeper of the Ages."

Her eyes widened at this. The new Keeper? How? She had been kicked out of her home. She was living on the street, using her powers to steal anything she could just to live. Her life was in shambles, her history full of crime. "How can I? I'm sure I'm not as pure as what you look for. I'm a criminal for God's sake!"

"Outward matters are not a concern. What matters is what is inside you, and deep down you are the purest I have seen in many years. Coddled upbringings often bring spoiled souls, and those of pain and suffering can bring out the best in some. You are one of those."

The Council around them smiled in unison, some lifting staves or swords in salute, others bowing.

"There is only one thing you must do for me. Ultimately the fate of the universe, for the moment, rides on your shoulders. The question may seem "silly" to you, but it is one that has been asked since the very beginning of time. Its answer will be the end to an old life, and the beginning of a new, if it is answered truthfully. Do not consider it something you must think about. The answer must come from your heart."

Alex spoke again. "What is the question?"

"You heard it before, and in time you will be asking it yourself. Do you trust me?"

Alex almost stumbled. The power of those final four words rocked her from the inside out, they carried such power. These feelings were familiar to her; she had felt them before. On her deathbed, her grandmother told a young Alex that words hold great power when they are spoken from the heart. Words spoken in conversation carried little weight, but when something is said that is really MEANT, those words can do amazing and terrible things.

The Council and Syne stood waiting, infinite patience among them. After all, they had all the time in the world, there was no rush here. Alex dug through her own memories, her emotions, and her soul. When she looked up, there was confidence both in her face and her voice.

    "I do."

"Then it is done. You are the new Keeper."

With that, Syne faded to a form similar to the Council. There was no flash of light, no rushing feeling of power, in fact the land around them was deathly silent. There was something to this silence, almost a vibration, as if the entirety of the multiverse was holding it's collective breath.

"...That's it? Its over? What do I do now?"

"You must look inward. All of the Keepers before you had a vision of themselves that was their icon, their form during their service. Who are you inside? You must trust your soul, let it change you into who you truly are. Only then will you be able to serve truly as the Keeper of the Ages."

Alex looked worried, tense. She had no idea how to do such a thing. Looking inward sounded like she might need a mirror, to see inside her own body. But her heart corrected her, providing her understanding. Deep down, she was someone else, not contained by this outward shell. She could shed the shell, become who Alex really was inside, not what she saw every morning.

With this understanding came a tearing from inside her, and her body seemed to fade away. She was nothing, she was everything. In that moment she knew all of the past, all of the present, and all of the future. She was in the smallest insect, she was part of the most ancient tree, swaying in the breeze. She saw the busy central streets of the biggest cities, she saw fields of cows simply living. She died in the body of a beloved grandmother, she was born a moment later.

And she returned to the Lands of the Ages, a life began anew. Looking around she understood this whole plane a lot deeper than before. The Council around her smiled wide, all now bowing in respect to the reborn Keeper, the new Alexendri Drake. Looking down at herself, she nodded approvingly. She was in a black jumpsuit, covered head to toe. Fading in around her body were pieces of black armor, dark as the void, smooth and elegant yet holding an air of danger. The helm that drew itself around her head was not unlike that of an Valkyrie's, pitch black in color and with swept back metal wings. Long flowing pink hair extended from her hair to her waist, smooth and shining with the light around her. Her boots were special in themselves, the first Keeper to have greaves in rollerblade form. These were a part of her from the day she had first learned to use them, and they would be with her for all eternity. On her black gauntlets were short wrist blades, her Keeper's weapons. The armor was light, and her movement wasn't inhibited in the least, but it provided great protection.

She was taller now, a little over six feet in Earth measure. Her face was soft, her smile gentle. Her now red colored eyes however still held that old look of rebellion, and reinforcing this the black star tattoo still was across her left eye. She looked similar to Syne in body, and almost a reverse image of her in color.

She knew what power she now held, and she knew the consequences that came with it. She also now understood why Syne had fought so hard to keep order in the time stream, and how to manipulate it without damaging it. This was something larger than anyone could imagine, and it was her job to protect it. Alex nodded to the Council, fixing Syne with a steely look that spoke both of thanks and of her understanding.

    --------------------------------------------------

The Council faded, as did the Land of the Ages, and she was returned to the top of the building on which she had been laid. Her eyes shone as she looked around her, gaze finally fixing in a certain direction, and she walked to the edge of the building. Black armor glinting in the sunlight she stepped forward without a second thought, and dropped off the edge, falling at high speeds through the sky. A moment later she was gone.

And within another moment, a crater was smashed into the ground near where Aoleleb and H'taed were fighting, standing up tall from the crouch she had been in as she hit the ground. Her calm attitude was very different from when they had first met her, when she had been riled up and ready to take on the world. She now held a calculating eye, fixing Nether with a steely gaze, then Aoleleb, and finally H'taed. As with Syne before her she waited to be noticed, watching the fine detail of every movement that the three of them made.

    --------------------------------------------------

((I've created a beast! Monstrous, but definitely good practice!))
  16. ((That's where I've been. I'm also writing up a bit for this, as well as brainstorming a story... I figured I'd ask if you guys might want to read it over as I work it out, give a bit of input. Keep in mind that its rare that I keep on one train of thought so long (I have about 20 stories that are all in pieces), but if I actually get feedback for once, it may help :P

It isn't a superhero-related story, its more magical and mysterious and junk... all depends on how the ideas take shape.))
  17. ((I know magic is more than just fireballs o.o that's just an example. A dark attack from Nether would, to her, go off way faster than she expected, and miss Syne entirely if Syne thought fast enough to bubble and move.

And yeah, a fire bubble around her would probably work, depends on how you word it. If she's surrounded in it, she couldn't go anywhere, but if she had created any "tokens" recently, she could still break the timeline and send them after you to make you lose your concentration. Its all about the adapting.

But see, I'm glad people are thinking, and not just getting mad that she's so unbelievably unbalanced :P I love adaptation, its what makes fighting fun!

Aoleleb's turn I believe, and I think I'm going to pull Alex back into this shortly.))
  18. ((Ooh fire :P And I thought I'd point out that I already knew about magic, as in the magic kind. Something fire from anyone BUT a magical entity will freeze in the time stream, a magic fire blast is encased inside its own force of pure energy.

However, since time is effected while the magic is not, if Syne simply slowed time, moved to the side, and let it continue, that would seriously screw up the caster of the fireball, or whatever else it is :P The magic itself may not be part of the time stream, but the magician still is, and as such is still affected by little tricks like that.

So its more that the magician would have to corner her to hit her effectively. Otherwise there would be a fireball thrown, Syne suddenly moves to the side and the fireball is a good 20 yards farther than half a second ago, imagine the chaos from that <.< Syne technically creates bubbles to hit herself in when she does time-related activities, so to speak, so that she isn't affected by the repercussions of anything that may happen as a cause of it. So if she has time to dodge out of the way of some magic blast, why not spend the bit of energy to slow the time stream around her a few moments, just to throw off the rhythm of her opponent? :P))
  19. ((Hehehe, maybe, but I'm always thinking up new tricks for her :P She and Alex might also "meet" sometime in the future, just for fun.

Anyone know what happened to H'taed? He isn't posting anymore o.o))
  20. ((Yeah, with the exception of Syne most likely :P Like I said, I never meant her to be fair, she was just meant to piss people off, specifically H'Taed. Anyone deemed "too powerful" will have a meeting with her. H'Taed showed his powers off from the very beginning, so he got a pretty little visit :P If Aoleleb starts showing off, he'll get one too... once she recovers of course. I just kinda have her there as a checks-and-balance person.

As for Alex... I have no idea what I'm doing with her. She's stuck on the top of a building, even if I bring her back conscious, she has no real way of getting down without dying <.&lt)
  21. Syne took the first punch from her clone rather hard, flying back and hitting the dirt with a crash. She got back up to receive a kick to the shoulder, knocking her across the dirt again. While the copy may not have the fighting experience she did, it more than made up for it in the strength she currently lacked. With a deep breath she gathered what energy she had left and started weaving with one hand, the other holding her shoulder.

"Count yourself lucky, this time!" She had done at least part of her job, to stall him as long as possible. She didn't realize he would be THIS strong. The clone jumped at her as she broke the thread and blinked out of sight in an instant, she had removed herself from this time stream with her last burst of energy. On the other side she collapsed against the ground, safe for the moment. It would be a good while before she had the strength to lift herself up again.

As for the clone, it hit the dirt roughly with a missed attack, glanced around, saw H'taed, and rushed towards him.

((Sorry if that seems iffy, I'm kinda in a bit of a snag here with life, but I didn't want to hold you up anymore. I promise I'll post better later on!))
  22. ((Now, remember what I said about her not being fair? :P However, it DOES require a massive amount of energy for a small amount of time. The amount of time that was frozen there was all of maybe half a second, just long enough for the kicks to make contact, and poof she's out of energy. That and, even if she just slowed it so that you were going at regular speed, the exact same thing would have happened that you just said in your post.

And don't you start ranting about auto hits, she could just go back and time and kill H'taed's parents or some such thing if I wanted to, but I'm not doing that, am I? But enough of this, I want to make this a fun game, not turn it into an argument. I made her unfair for a reason, but I also wasn't intending on her winning in the first place. H'taed is made mostly of electricity, she's using melee attacks designed to incapacitate flesh and blood. It doesn't matter how cheap she is, I don't think she's going to win that fight, so I dunno why you're complaining this much :P

To put it simply, she basically just threw out any hope of an extended battle. You don't even need to be arguing right now. Whether she actually stopped time like I said, or not, the fight is finished, she has nothing left to go on. All she can do now is try and run from the copy, and hope she can get far enough away that she can rest.))
  23. ((Also, if time stops, it doesn't matter how fast something is going :P She exists outside of the fabric of time, that's why she can move when nothing else can. Other than that I dunno what to say, we'll work it out I suppose.))

((Edit: Got another question for ya. Does the copy think with a mind of its own, or does it just react to stimuli by its original?))
  24. ((H'taed, the way you had posted that spark you made it sound like it had dropped right in front of you. For one, the main Syne took off into the air and so never would have actually touched the sparks, and the rest of the "copies" are ripples in time, they have no real "significance" in current time, as they came from moments before.

That, and if time is stopped, how would a trap go off? Even with the high speed of light, it would still need some time to process, of which there is very little, or even none at all in that case))
  25. ((Ahh, slippery. Of course, I think you forgot something :P))

Syne's hands were weaving as she ran, strands linking back and forth between her fingers. She shimmered once as she started to circle him, changing her direction with only a minor loss of speed. She jumped into the air, shimmering before she left the ground, and again as she started a suicide dive towards him. 3 feet from him her face scowled in concentration and she twisted the strands...and everything froze.

    ((Count it!))

She had stopped time again, but there was much more to it this time. She continued her dive as a Syne appeared on the opposite side of H'taed, kicking at the back of his knees. ((1)) Another appeared soon after and roundhoused to the back of his head. ((2)) Two more appeared on either side of him and kicked, one at his stomach and the other at his back. ((3 and 4)) The flying Syne pulled up at the last moment and aimed for a knee to his face. Another Syne was jackknife from the ground up between his legs. ((5))

Whether or not he could move with time frozen, it would be quite tricky to move from such a trap. The look on the flying Syne's face as she pulled this maneuver however was strained...it was a desperate finisher, with all hope in that he couldn't escape.

((There o.o basically her final attack. And Nether looks teh hotness! :P))
