  1. There was a short light whisper, but she didn't give more than a shrug.

"I have no idea. You pick!"
  2. Alex yells out, standing by the door.

"Looking for this one? I think its this one!"
  3. ((That was awesome back and forth dialog :P I enjoyed that))

Alex frowned a moment as there was another extremely light whisper, then smiled again after it finished.

"Well, how convenient is that. Its almost as if they WANT us to go places. Chop chop, let's get movin' kids! Places to go, things to see, people to do! Er, flip those last two. Let's go!"

Alex almost seemed hyper now, and the fingers on her right hand were twitching every so often, like they were tense, ready to do something.
  4. ((Well, I'd hate to think H'taed isn't made of tougher stuff than that. He's taken me in stride pretty well so far :P))

"Oh well THAT was rude." Alex shifted her weight onto mostly one leg, crossing her arms. "So where are we going? We have a few choices."

There was that feeling again, as she was talking. Only it was more obvious where it was coming from. Alex was shimmering slightly, only very slightly, barely enough to be noticed and only if you looked closely.

"Should we explore a bit? Or look for H'taed directly?"

Something DEFINITELY changed that time. The shimmer around Alex dropped abruptly. As it did, there was a light whisper, a man's voice talking low, then nothing.

"Up to you, I'm ready for anything!"

Alex was definitely doing something, and it wasn't just her acts alone. Someone or something was there.

((Dunno when I'll be back in the morning, but I'll get here eventually :P like I said, just have Alex tag along if you move))
  5. ((Yeah, it does sort of get away from you sometimes. H'taed, its one thing to set out "feelings" like what I just did. They don't actually affect characters in serious ways. Sometimes the posts that you make actually damage a character, and that isn't fun. If you're planning on doing something like that, you should ask the person first, make sure they consent to it. If they don't, you need to try another idea.

And please don't take that the wrong way :P We're 40 pages in now, we know you have MORE than enough ideas to keep going for some time. Just dig into that bag!))
  6. "Oh well, if that's the case, show me the door!" Alex shrugged.

That wasn't all that happened. Something changed. Like a shift in the wind almost, a feeling that you've forgotten to do something important, but you can't remember what it is. And then it was gone, just like that. As if nothing happened.

"I'm in the mood for a good tan!"
  7. Alex looked very obviously overconfident. She didn't care to mention why, but the threat by the Mr. White didn't phase her at all. In fact, she almost looked happy.

"So where are we supposed to be going, Mister N? Anywhere in particular?"

((I might pull a Matrix fairly soon here <.< >.> You'll see what I mean...))
  8. Alex snorted at this. She checked, her connection was well beyond clear, it was still perfect. Then again, it wasn't exactly a transmission as much as... voices in her head. Like she's insane. But she isn't. No matter, she shrugged, ignoring the remark.

"Ooh, and whatcha gonna do to 'em? Huh huh?"

((Yay! Mr Coffee! And Mr Radar :P "Sir... we've been...jammed!" "Raspberry... only one man would dare give me the raspberry... LONESTAR!"))
  9. ((Ha! H'taed slipped on his descriptions! Yay loopholes! ^_^))
  10. "BLEH!"

Alex snaps her fingers with a grossed out look, and all the stuff on her clothes vanishes, leaving her clean.

"Nasty trick. You make that yourself? Makes me wonder if you get out much."
  11. Alex just laughed.

"Now all you need is some thick makeup, and you'd look like a used [censored]! Congrats!"

((And I can tell you now, there's never been such a sassy Keeper before :P))
  12. She rests a hand on her hip, her gaze covering him from head to toe.

"Could you have POSSIBLY picked a tackier outfit?"

((XD I'm sorry, I had to say SOMETHING!))
  13. ((Like I said, they're spirits. They have no form that can be held onto in the first place o.o just like how Alex shed her old form when she became a Keeper, they shed what's basically their existence when they become part of the Council. As for alternate realities, nope. There's only one Council, and only one Keeper. They can both travel inter-dimensionally. While Noitpeced has physical records of every universe, to the Council and the Keepers its all just one big mass, like instinct. They just "know" where to go to fix something.

And I'm sure you have PLENTY of backup plans. Everyone here knows that :P Always something up your sleeve.))

She stopped, lowering her hand and pouting.

"Aww poo, can't a girl have a little fun?"

She reached down to her waist as her armor melted off of her, leaving a black jumpsuit. This quickly shifted to a set of clothing not unlike what she wore before the change, only in a larger size to fit her new form, and fitted... much tighter than before. Her hair also went into a long ponytail, and fingernails shifted their color to pink. She could have walked down the streets in any town completely unnoticed, save for her slightly odd clothing choice, but she was used to those stares.

"And what's so important that I have to go alone?"

((Remember that her body was childlike before, she looked like a standard punk. Now she actually looks good, and she damn well knows it :P She changed herself to look the way she always wanted to, but couldn't (maybe yet) achieve. I almost feel like arranging a visit between the two Alex's, just for fun :P))
  14. Alex feigned shock, holding a hand to her chest.

"See little ol' me? Oh dear dear, I do believe I'm feeling a bit lightheaded."

She waved her hand near her face as if fanning herself, the other hand on her hip.

((On a side note, I dunno how you'd capture a Council member seeing as one, she'd know about it immediately and Diov a long time ago would have had the entire Council beating down his door and trying to rip him a new one. And two, they're incorporeal inter-dimensional beings, capturing one in the first place would be nigh on impossible, seeing as they could phase through pretty much any matter or energy o.o as well as shift between dimensions. In other words, they don't technically exist. They're like spirit manifestations.

Unless, of course, you threatened with a fake hostage, but then she'd probably know anyway. A hostage situation is something hard to push...might be better off with the platoon of...well anything, in case she tries something.))
  15. ((Thought I'd mention that I can either see two things happening with the scan. Either they would sense no powers at all, or they'd go off from the connection she constantly has to the Council. That connection can't really be stopped, seeing as its on so many levels. She mostly uses it to contact them. I guess its up to you how the systems respond.))

Alex glanced at the walls before looking around, watching the many thugs running around doing their thing.

"Well, looks like a fun job. And I suppose working for a so called overlord of the universe would have great benefits."
  16. Alex just smirked and followed, not replying to his little outburst. A hologram is a computer, it will only do what it is told to do, believe what it is programmed to believe. For the moment, she'll just go along with it, whatever. The abilities of the Keeper aren't gifted, they're ingrained. To remove her abilities would cause her to not exist in the first place.

Another place where the hologram was wrong. She was no longer just flesh, she was a part of the multiverse in its entirety. If the Keeper doesn't exist, everything around falls into chaos. She smiled, thinking about what was going on at the moment. In the amount of time it took for the door to swing open, she had already saved a butterfly that would in the end affect the entire west hemisphere, stopped a comet that would have crashed into a planet many billions of lightyears away, and sent off a little signal to the Council to watch for anything odd in the time stream while she set her abilities to passive. For the moment, they would have to deal with the troubles that were otherwise her job, she had something else to take care of.

((Just assume that Alex is following whoever goes through the process <.< as far as the scanner would be concerned, she no longer has any powers to be drained, she shifted them back to Syne and the rest of the Council for the moment. And if you're wondering, she doesn't have to actually BE somewhere to fix something. Since she can manipulate, she can just modify the time stream as needed from anywhere. During those fights, and the same goes for Syne, they were both modifying any number of events at the same time as duking it out :P That's what they exist to do.

I'll be back a bit later. Life stuff catching up with me.))
  17. Alex rolls her eyes.

"Of course..." she whispers. She knew that was coming. "I've met Diov on what you could say is a more -personal- level. Ask him. He may consider himself stronger than myself, but he knows damn well that the Council isn't about to let their hand in the multiverse suddenly become worthless. And I'm sure that they'll back these two up in a heartbeat as well if I say so."

She shrugged. "What's H'taed afraid of, anyway?"
  18. Alex laughs, crossing her arms again. That's just too funny.

"Them, I don't know about. Trying to drain my powers is like trying to get water from a rock. Though I bet you'll tell me you've achieved that too."
  19. Alex crossed her arms and followed.

"For a hologram, he has quite a bit of temper, don't he? Looks like H'taed is rubbing off on him."

Alex reached up then and removed her helmet, shaking her head to let her new long hair shake out any tangles from the helm. The helmet merely seemed to evaporate, and the blades on her gauntlets retracted. Her eyes glinted as a smile crossed her face.

"Man that helmet is stuffy. I can see why Syne went for the headband look."
  20. Alex nods at all this.

"And Lord Diov eh... that narrows it down a lot more. There is only one Keeper at any time, not multiple dimension copies of them. Which Earth still has myself as little ol punk chic, and not just a facsimile so that no one knows I'm missing?"

    ((*Edited))
  21. ((Oh she can be worse :P once she gets over the whole "professional" attitude that Syne had, and her personality comes back to the fore, she'll be like that a lot more often ^_^))

"Both were moved two days into their orbit? Both were nearly destroyed?" She smirks. "Both had their moon moved back into position by our friend here?" She indicated Krystell with a nod to the side.
  22. No reaction at the number.

"Well if you know that much about so many Earths, you should also know which one I'm talking about, shouldn't you?"
  23. ((I'm laughing so hard right now XD This went from just trying to take a package for yourself to world destroying action of epic proportions never seen in the craziest movies <.&lt)
  24. Alex was focussed on Noitpeced, but not speaking to him.

"I assume the Earth has survived? I would hate having to rebuild it. You have no idea how much time that would waste. Especially those fjords..."

Through all the current events, her "professional" attitude was starting to wane. More and more she was acting like herself...rather, like she used to be. That was apparent both in the way she spoke, and the way she just stared blankly at Noitpeced.

    "Husk Corporation?"

    ((*snicker* Hitchhiker's Guide reference... I'm such a nerd ^_^))
  25. ((Hehe, well, its not that. I just pride myself in the thought that if I wanted to, I could probably be an astrophysicist someday <.< Its fascinating stuff!))
