Hey everyone! I've been lurking about for a week now, attempting to learn my way around again. I thought it was time to unlurk and say hello....so Hello!
It's actually been quite some time since I last played. I started out on Virtue back in 2006. Most of the people I played with have moved on and are in who knows what game now. I've played several MMO's over the last 12 years and been a table top gamer longer than that. What keeps me in a game is friendships, the roleplay and storytelling, and lastly the game. Even if a game is drying up, as long as the friendships and roleplay are there, I stay, because they are what makes it fun and worth playing. It's what has kept me in my previous game as long as it has. However, those people have moved on to other games now, or are taking a break till a few other games of their choice are launched. My brother recently started playing this again and of course talked me into giving it a try, however, he isn't much of a roleplayer, and well....I need my rp fix!
Which brings me to my reason for posting (besides saying hi of course!). I've been reading the forums, absorbing all the information I can. Some of the info is a few years old so I figured I'd check to see what was current.
Channels in game - Being able to connect with other roleplayers is huge, and I know the best start is here on the forums. I know many rp communities also have channels in game where they can connect with other roleplayers for roleplay and hunting as well. I've read about #Roleplayers and #Virtue Verse, but I haven't really seen anyone chatting in them. Are there other channels people use?
Roleplay Hot Spots - With Galaxy City gone, I know that there is one less roleplay meeting grounds. I've heard that Pocket D is still around and read that Atlas Park is still a good place to find roleplay. Where do people generally go to find lots of random roleplay?
Supergroups - It's my hope to meet people in my travels that I mesh with and can find a home with them, but it's always good to know the names of guild/supergroup so you can look out for their members and hopefully get to know them and have them get to know me. I notice a list for what it looked like was July 2011 to Jan 2012. There was only a small list (maybe 4-6?). Are there any other suggestions for roleplay supergroups?
Lore - I love to wrap the lore of the game around my character, makes the characters seem more developed. I've seen a couple places listed...paragonwiki, Virtue Verse, etc. Since I obviously have alot of catching up to do lore wise was well, any awesome places you'd recommend?

In game, I'm often found on either Fallen Psyche (Villian/Dominator) or Lady Sereine (Hero/Controller). I cleaned out most of the rest of my characters as the either had stories that flopped, or they didn't have a story. Both of these characters I've had since I last played, though I rerolled Lady Sereine so I could experience the game fresh. Yes, I have a love of healers and enchanters. I've been told it's a serious illness
