Upon first reading the news of the Kheldians Jack had a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach. But these aliens were supposed to be here to protect the earth and its people, from what? From them?
Sipping his coffee he pondered his misgivings regarding these alien 'heroes'. After all, they come to our planet and take over the bodies of humans. And that Jack found to be the root of his concerns.
Did these Kheldians ask for volunteers? From all he had seen there was nothing to make him think so. Even more foul, how much of the human consciousness remains in the forms of those taken?
In all the interactions and investigations he had done it seemed that the human mind was at the very least totally supressed. Worse by far, they humans minds may have been totally destroyed by these 'friendly' invaders that bring thier conflicts to Earth.
hmmph, was there even a way to know the answers to the truth of the humans possessed by these aliens. Likely not, afterall, once they controlled the body we can't very well know if it is the human or kheldian speaking, even if the human mind survives the possession.
Jack finishes the last half of his coffee in a quick deep drink and rises from the cafee table. Dropping some money on the table he pulls out his customary cigar and heads out to find the Peacebringer called Silver Myst that he had been working with to further his investigations and put his fears to rest.
