  1. Thanks! If I actually spec into it, I may be able to pull out a recharge slot here or there to reassign to attacks, but that'll be late-game.

Now I just need to level up to the point where the build becomes entirely viable.
  2. I'm struggling a little with a build that was solid in I4. My Inv/SS Tank is currently level 28, and I'm working to find a good respec build. With your guide, and Kara's, I've cobbled something together, and I'd like comments.

The goals of the build : I want Fly as my travel power. I'd like Hasten. I want to mitigate as much damage as possible. I'm also planning to maximize Health Regeneration.

Now, I notice that you put no End Reducers in your attacks - do you find you have few Endurance problems, anyway?

Here's what I think (sorry for the format) :

    (1) Jab [1 - 1 Dmg]
    (1) Temp. Invulnerability [1, 2, 2, 11, 13, 15 - 6 Dmg Res]
    (2) Dull Pain [2, 5, 5, 23, 23, 25 - 3 Heal, 3 Recharge Redux]*
    (4) Taunt [4 - 1 Taunt Duration]
    (6) Hasten [6, 7, 7, 17, 21, 21 - 6 Recharge Redux]
    (8) Unyielding [8, 9, 9, 11, 13, 15 - 6 Dmg Res]
    (10) Hover [10 - 1 Def Buff]
    (12) Haymaker [12, 27, 40, 43 - 3 Dmg, 1 End Redux] *
    (14)Fly [14, 17, 42 - 1 End Redux, 2 FlySpeed]
    (16) Res Elements [16, 25, 37, 42, 48, 50 - 6 Dmg Res]
    (18)Invincibility [18, 19, 19, 31, 31, 33 - 6 Def Buff]
    (20)Res Energies [20, 27, 37, 42, 48, 50 - 6 Dmg Res]
    (22)KO Blow [22, 36, 40, 43 - 3 Dmg, 1 End Redux] *
    (24)Swift [24 - 1 RunSpeed]
    (26)Health [26, 37, 39, 39, 45, 46 - 6 Heal]
    (28)Stamina [28, 29, 29, 31, 33, 33 - 6 End Recovery]
    (30)Rage [30, 43, 45, 46 - 2 Recharge, 2 ToHit Buff]
    (32)Tough Hide [32, 34, 34, 34, 36, 36 - 6 Def Buff]
    (35)Res Phys Dmg [35 - 1 Dmg Res]
    (38)Footstomp [38, 39, 40 - 2 Dmg, 1 End Redux] *
    (41)Unstoppable [41 - 1 End Recovery]
    (44)Conserve Power [44, 45, 46 - 3 Recharge Redux]
    (47)Laser Beam Eyes [47, 48, 50 - 2 Dmg, 1 End Redux]*
    (49)Hand Clap [49 - 1 Disorient Duration]

Yeah, I need to get Hero planner.

Not sure if I need to switch the End redux for Accs in the attacks, and not sure if I have Dull Pain slotted well. I'd like it to be a bit more than Perma, so I can fire it off if needed.

I don't plan to switch till after level 31 at a minimum, so I can preserve Invincibility's effectiveness.
  3. Well, at least someone mentioned the thread I started to discuss exactly this..
  4. Hermes and Hermes Trismagestus are the same guy. The difference is that the Greeks began using the latter name after melding Hermes with the Egyptian god Thoth.
  5. [ QUOTE ]
FWIW, the names on the Magic SO enhancements also mean something:

Joule is an obscure unit of work measurement in physics, rather like a foot-pound. It was named after James Joule, an English physicist from the late nineteenth century.

Grey appears to reference the Gray Aliens, the standard model extraterrestrial with the large staring eyes and elongated body.

Hermes is the Greek god of messengers, speed, and stealth.

I find these names far less satisfactory than Li Tieh Kuai, Crowley, and Nectanebo.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, Hermes in this case probably refers to Hermes Trismagestus, the aspect of the god Hermes associated with certain magical orders, like Crowley's Golden Dawn, if memory serves.

Joule also the Metric System (SI)'s unit of Energy, and isn't obscure at all. I believe the SI unit for Work is the Watt, but I'm a bit rusty.

Edit : Energy *is* Work, silly me. The Watt is the Metric measurement of Power, which is Work or Energy over time.
  6. Keep'em coming, folks. I think it'd be nice to get confirmation from the developers on some of these, though.. some could conceivably come from one of a number of sources.

No one mentioned Doc Whedon's badge yet? Possibly a reference to Joss Whedon, though I don't know how much Comic Book work he'd done by the time the badge was added to Perez Park.
