  1. Just wanted to pop in and let everybody know that there's been an unexpected change of plans. My in-laws won't be coming into town because of nasty weather and because I went a bit overboard on making Thanksgiving dinner, I'm going to be home today and will be online tonight.

    Hope everybody is doing well. I'd like to get a Mortimer Kal or a Admiral Sutter in tonight to get xps for people that aren't 50 and notices for those who are.

    I'll be online in the meantime getting xps for my brute. If anyone wants to join, send me a /t to @EF.

  3. People are starting to hit 50 now. I believe that we have 6 50's now. IIRC MP, arafel, Hedge, King, Baub and I have all hit 50. If I left anyone out, I'm sorry.

    Friday will be all about getting people caught up. Moonfire/Renault is the WST next week. We could run Moonfire and get the all the other requirements for the Atlas Medallion.

  4. I can help with taking down some AV's. I *really* want to get the xps from LR with patrol xps and an xp booster before going back blue side. The more people that are running patron arcs just means more people with LR to beat up after they hit 45+.

    Friday we could split into a task force group and a patron arc group.

    I'm really curious how we would fair in Itrials on this group. My gut says that we'll be fine but everybody would need some level shifts. The people that don't have Incarnates on this server should get priority. I don't see why the tricked out alum and other alts can't be broken out to help them get that done.

    I'm not sure if anyone else notices, but the name of this thread has become repetitive and redundant . Any thoughts on trying to get that changed to something different? Is that even possible?

    XPs sounds great. I know arafel was running AV missions and Hedge was finishing up his patron arc. I'd like to beat down Mr. Big Bag o'XPs (also known as Lord Recluse) a few times too.

  10. Any interest in running Mortimer Kal and some patron arcs? I know I have patrons unlocked and I believe that there are others that are going vill for patrons.

    Does anyone have any preference for patron arcs? Scirocco has the most potential for AV's, Black Scorpion can be done quickly, Ghost Widow fits the theme and Mako is very dark humored.

    There was three teams running on Sunday. There was a Sister Psyche, vig tips and a vill tip team running.

    There's lot of potential for skullduggery and mayhem on Friday. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
  11. Tonight we had teams running in Croatoa. I'm not sure how many of us finished the arc and unlocked Katie Hannon, but I'm sure there will be enough of us to get a Katie on Friday. If I remember correctly, there's a few people that aren't in level range (30+). If that's the case, we can split into two groups and a lower level task force (Moonfire, Admiral Sutter) group.
  12. The base is 99% done. I'll do a walk through and make some last minute tweaks but for the most most part it's done. When my more tech savvy other half gets home, I'll see about posting a map because we are now the proud owners of one freaking big base. Great job earning prestige all!

    There's going to be a Praetorian invasion happening at about when we're going to start. Any interest in beating down some Praetorians? I was also thinking of finishing off the Atlas Medallion for the people in my group that ran Moonfire last time.

  14. Base is still a work in progress. I should be able to finish in a couple more sessions. This week I have a bit more time for base creation because Baub is out of town. If you have any feedback or suggestions please let me know.

    There was a couple teams running tonight. I think the other team was running First Ward. My team ran some vig tips and squeezed a Moonfire in. If anybody that was in my group wants to finish getting the Atlas Medallion, let me know and I'll help with that.
  15. I think that a mix would be great, kind of a technomage-Neuromancer kind of style.

    I've started editing the base already but it's still very much a work in progress. For a project like this that is a mix of styles, I'll make the edits in a few phases. Hopefully, I'll have time to finish tomorrow after Baub leaves on his trip.
  16. People have started joining Mutants and Mayhem today. I counted how many we have in the SG and by my calculations, we can add about 100 more people.

    When we have a few more Praetorians join, there should be enough prestige to upgrade to the largest base (yay us ). I'm planning on doing the base upgrades on Saturday.

    My question now is-what theme should I decorate the base in? Should I go for a dark magic type theme or a dark tech type theme?
  17. Would there be any interest in running the Signature Story arcs that went live the other day? They take about a half hour and I found them to be fun.
  18. Tonight we had a vote and the results are in. Pedro wins!... Wait, that's not right.

    We voted to go blue side and join an existing group. Mutants and Mayhem will be our sg when we get to Primal Earth. I stocked a couple enhancement racks in base with level 25 common io's for use by superteam members. I'll keep an eye on them and restock them as needed. Let me know if there's a common you need that's not in there.

    If you find yourself needing an Ouro portal, it can be acquired quite easily. Take the base teleporter to the echo of Galaxy City, the beacon to Galaxy still works, it just drops you in the echo. Head to the tram and take it to Ouroborous. Get the badge. Enjoy your new Ouro portal.

    I think that's a great idea for anybody that has patron powers planned for their build or wants to get the respec that is earned from finishing the first patron arc. Plus you can unlock the mish to beat up Lord Recluse or as we like to call him, Mr Big bag o'xps . Plus the patron arcs are available at level 35 which adds to the content available red side.

    Things have certainly changed since I started playing this game. Villains could only hit 40. Grandville and the patron pools didn't exist.

  20. The traps group, Bombs and Bullets, has a functional base. It's not the biggest but I'm pretty sure it's not the smallest. It has enough amenities for a group to get around.
  21. Great night all. We ganged up on the Seed of Hamidon running amok in the First Ward and beat it down. XP buff for everybody

    Since we're close to leaving Praetoria, the subject of what side the group would end up on came up. It's true that the last few groups that we've ran have gone blue side. We could go red side to be different. Here's some things that we might want to keep in mind.

    1) It's true that we haven't gone red side in a while. However, unlike blue side, red side is fairly easy to get around. Any place that anybody might need to go is off a black helicopter or ferry.

    2) Blue side is not as easy to get around. A base would come in handy for quick travel between zones. And blue side is a merit trough.

    3) With the bonus from having Praetorians join a sg, the prestige quickly adds up. We could start a new group that has a name reflects the current theme and coalition with existing groups to use those bases.

    4) We could also join an existing group. Mutants and Mayhem currently has enough prestige to buy the largest base size. If we add to that, we could have a big shiny base. I can't find it but I remember that one of the devs said that there was cool things in the works for bases.

    Personally, my preference is to join an existing group. It is fun to have a name to match our theme. However, one of the issues that I have with starting new groups is starting with a fresh base. I really don't mind building new bases; my issue is with having to use other bases while building up the resources for a new group. It seems to me that people get used to the base that we're coalitioned with and aren't used to the new base. I really like the idea of starting out with a fully functional base.

    This is just my 2 inf. I'll go along with whatever the group wants when it's decided.

    Ugh...I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems with your puter. Hopefully, this is just post issue bugs and they'll get worked out.

    I21 drops before the next meeting...so I'm sure there'll be a team or two running the First Ward content. I'd like to get a shot at the First Ward zone event too.

    My personal opinion is to let blasters in but not masterminds. There's a couple reasons for this. These superteams have always been, in my opinion, about working with a limitation and turning it into an advantage. Take the trick arrows for example, 1 trick arrow on their own doesn't do that much damage. Multiple trick arrows can decimate spawns. This team is a bit different from previous incarnations because it allows for multiple melee AT's. The only groups that also allowed melee AT's were the bladed group which was before Going Rogue, brutes and stalkers were allowed there. The earth team allowed for tanks and brutes. This team will allow scrappers, brutes and tankers. In fact, blasters, EATs and doms are the only AT's that aren't allowed.

    When played well, a dark mastermind doesn't need a group. My demon summoning/dark mastermind has soloed av's/full heroes. If someone were to bring a mastermind, it very well could turn into their team following them around and keeping them and their pets buffed. That is just not fun. Additionally, dark has been available for masterminds since Issue 6. There's nothing keeping anyone from rolling up a /dark mastermind. However, dark blasters are teh new shiny. This means people will want to play them because...well...they're teh new shiny.

    I'm not the one that's going to make the final decision about whether to allow blasters or not. This is just my opinion, take it with a grain of salt. I can understand not allowing dark masterminds. They can overshadow (pun intended) their team and can cause lag for those those with lower end machines and slower internet connections. Dark blasters are new and there are folks that would like a group that they could bring their new blaster to run with. But allowing blasters would add another AT to an already broad theme. So I'm not sure if they'll be allowed or not.
