  1. Title: The Day I Tried To Live
    Arc ID: 131780
Morality: Neutral (Might lean more to the Red side of things)
Difficulty Level: 40+ Medium, -40 hard (just a guess)
Enemy Groups: Crey, Rikti, Custom Group
Number of EB/AVS – 2 EBs, the first EB mission has an ally that is not needed to complete the mission, but will help with the fight. The second EB is required to finish the mission, no ally help provided.
    Story Type – Serious.
    Mission Count: Five
Estimated Time to Play: I have no idea...Probably more than an hour depending on how you play it.

Synopsis – Listen to the contacts tale; experience the story of his life, a tale of a downward spiral filled with self destruction, rage, desperation and a hint of love.

Note – One kill all on a small map (due to the plot). The level range is wacky because of the groups I used, two missions are 30-54, two are 40-54 and one is 41-54. Also, throughout the missions are hostages that don't need to be rescued, but might make more sense to the story.

Custom group has not been tested a lot.

Arc has a lot of text. It was written about my main character and adapted to fit in the MA, but you don’t need to know who it is to grasp the story.

Be as critical as possible. Constructive criticism of course, but still, don’t hold back.

    The Lazarus Arcs

    Review of “The Portal Bandits"

I’m not much of a reviewer, my eye for detail isn’t that great, but for what it’s worth, here it is.

Soloed this on a level 50 fire/fire blaster with set IO’s in most powers.

The first mission started out pretty good, an alien race invading Portal Corps, cool. The custom group was pleasing to look at and their powers were good. Not too tough, not too soft. Lots of knockback from the Powerfist line of enemies. Boss was tough.

The chaos at the start of the second mission was really enjoyable, and all the fights along the way. Again, the boss was tough. I became overwhelmed quickly. I wouldn’t change anything about it though.

Third mission went ok, it was fun to think the place was a secret base. The custom ally was pretty cool, although I neglected to rescue her on purpose just to see if I could handle the EB.

As for the EB, it seemed she ran too often, she went down the ramp and refused to come back up, enabling me just to stand there and shoot her. I went down, however, and she splattered me all over the wall. Extremely powerful melee attacks, but that’s why she’s an Elite Boss.

I was kind of confused about what this mission meant in regards to the story. I can’t remember why I was in the base, or even why the aliens were there. It could be something simple, but this seemed out of flow for some reason, like something was supposed to happen, but didn’t.

Fourth mission was too long. When I found out how big the map was I decided to skip through almost all of it. The EB here ran way too often, it seemed she didn’t want to engage in combat. I was standing right near her attacking, but she still wanted to run. This made the fight extremely easy; she was the only boss that did not kill me, wasn’t even close. The minions around her were more of a threat.

The overall story was pretty good, a bit confusing on some points. The custom group had a nice overall concept: Costumes, biographies and attacks. The dialog was well done and the clues were very nice.

The souvenir was kind of rough to read, it was a fairly big paragraph with only two sentences in it. It just looked like the first sentence could have been cut down into three. Not sure I agree with what the actual souvenir is, but it’s your story.

Was a fun arc, I recommend it.
  3. Made some minor changes to the arc, would love some feedback on the story.

If you wish, I’ll play and rate an arc of yours in return. Leave an arc ID#.

Played this with my kin/nrg/mnd 50, paired up with a AR/Dev blaster. A third member of our team quit at start.

Thanks for playing and reviewing my arc, I appreciate it. It gave me a few ideas on what to change.

  9. My biggest gripe with this game is not being able to team. I already gave up on being asked to join a team, but I can send out 20 tells '20-24 mission team in Talos, interested?' and only get one tell back. Make my own team? How then, when no one wants to respond? How then, when someone dies they quit without a word? How then, when someone sees there aren't enough people on the team they say 'It's ok, I'll just solo for awhile'? How then, when someone only plays for one mission?

I think it's snobbery. 'I don't do pugs' they say, with their noses up turned. They play with their select few in their own secret circle.

So freaking what - my god, the OP doesn't want to try hard enough to get a team. It's easily done. I don't need to cite a [censored] source for something that any given player can *see* in the game. .

You're experience is not everyones, whether you're exaggerating or not. Keep defending by lashing out, it gives you more credit.

It seems before the x2 xp weekend teams were dime a dozen. I was even exemping on pugs, just because. During the weekend I saw a slight increase in teams, but after wards it was a desolate waste land. 'They wore themselves out over the weekend' was the excuse.

Ever since then it seems to be slow. And now with the MA? It seems farms or nothing.

I don't pay to play alone. Oh, that's right, we need to try harder.
