  1. Thanks for the info Zombie, sorry for the slow reply. I have been ill for the last several days and not on much.

    I might be wrong tho
I saw justice seems to be according to some on the forum the unoffcial AU server, so i rolled my toons there. Joined the Australia channel, but don't have permission to talk, so seems a bit redundant.
  3. So i have just come back for a look at freedom and i have to admit i am interested in playing again. But, for me to get the most enjoyment i figure i'll want to do things like TF's trials and so on which means hooking up with people in my timezone to play with. The above said, i was wondering if there's any active Australian SG's.

Briefly about moi, i am 38 played for about 3 years before i left due to disliking how the game had been so drastically altered. I am kind of quiet, but willing to help if people ask. If anyone can help me, send me a pm here or msg me in game @dreadscythe.

    Cheers
  4. Ah Zombie Man, another name from way back when. As for the toons, nah they were either little toons or had been fillers for friends grinding AE on the few weekends i'd looked in on the game. They're no loss. Rather play a main back up properly to cap.

I haven't really looked yet, but is there a current version of the old planner? Also, are the Map mods for badging etc still maintained and...where's the best place to go looking for updated keybind/macro info? The wiki or the guides forum?

    Cheers

*edit* Also, what's with the daily maintenance? Second night back (I'm Aussie) and both times maintenance has gutted any real chance of play time. Is this just related to the Freedom thing or is it "normal"?
  5. VoodooGirl is definitely a remembered name.

I also see there's still that Positron nub around (which is good to see i should add) along with names like Arcanaville, Samuel Tow, Golden Girl, Satanic Hamster and plenty of others. Although i freely admit i was mostly a forum lurker though i did write the a couple of guides on Fire/Fire (Tanks) and Grav/Emp trollers.
  6. I'd fit that category i guess.
  7. So i decided with Freedom to come back and check things out again. I use to play under the @handle Infernius on Victory.

I'm enjoying it again, Freedom seems to have breathed some new life into the old girl so to speak. When i quit and the few times i tried to come back i hated it because of all the changes and the almost empty zones cause of AE farms.

So far the highlights for me are getting my cape and travel power right from the start of the game (well lvl 4 for the travel power) and just seeing how the zones have been updated. Customisation has made my preferred character style finally playable (i'm playing a SS/Inv Brute as a hero).

Some minor things i have noticed - nowhere was i told (that i could find) what global unlocks were and i ended up deleting all my old characters as i thought there was no way i would be able to play them again (before deciding to VIP for a month). Also, i was disappointed to note that you still can only have capes or nothing on your back, no slung weapons or scabbards still? surely they couldn't be that hard to implement and i personally feel it detracts from a characters "style" alot to have guns/swords etc just spawn from thin air when you use your powers.

All in all though kudos to the dev's for what seems a pretty solid f2p model and revamp of the game.

P.S. I see some of the old school people i used to read posts from and post alongside back in the day which is good to see. I always felt this game had one of the better communities. If any of you old geezers :P remember me shoot me a pm so i can pick your brains on things like incarnates and IO's and so on.
