* Supergroup Name: The New Sentinels
* Website (if any): (Being re-done)
* Leader or Recruiting Officers: Doc Twilight (Leader), The Iron Confessor (Second), Other Points of Contact: Rabbit Jack
* Preferred Method of contact: We prefer in-game mail to one of the names mentioned above. We won't bite... we promise.
* Guild Description: One of the oldest COH Supergroups, you may have heard of us in the old days and through general city lore. We are a Golden-Age/Pulp Based Supergroup emphasizing roleplay, teamwork, and camraderie.
We combine elements of the Adventure Pulps, Pre-War Adventure Movie and Radio Serials, Golden Age Comics, and the quality period adventure flicks (The Indiana Jones and Mummy Films, for example), and throw in a dash of "What would happen if these heroes survived into the modern era".
Many of our costumes, powers, gadgets, and storylines are themed to fit within this milieu, covering origins from the late 19th century through to about the end of the Second World War.
We have had a great deal of success and delight with this approach, and we've got a number of recurring storylines both serious and comical.
We are a pretty straightforward group with very little pretensiousness. We gained a reputation in the early days of COH for automatically avoiding interaction with groups known to perform "exclusive rp", and we still stand by that principle.
We warmly welcome newcomers to our circle of friends, and are currently beginning the process of recruiting after a long hiatus. We're planning a very large Base for all members of the group where we'll be able to engage in even more of the RP style we love so much. There are also plans to create a mirror group of "Pulp Villains" in City of Villains.
If you're an open minded roleplayer willing to work with others in a cooperative environment, if you're looking for new friends, and if you have an interest (maybe, like us, even a passion) for the period in which our characters originated, we'd love to talk to you about membership.
We are often asked if we allow recruits to create period characters "rediscovering" the old group alive and active in Paragon. The answer is an enthusiastic yes. Likewise, we accept modern characters who can make their concepts work within our group.
For more information, feel free to contact any of the folks above.
