  1. Um, I think you posted in the wrong section here. This would go more in the powers discussion.

But since I'm already here: to my knowledge, there is no way to do this as you cannot turn on and turn off powers in such a way that you CAN'T activate them, nor will your power tray change when you switch costumes.

However, you should be able to do this manually: since you have 10 power trays, you can fill the powers assocxiated with 'costume 1' into the first three, the 'costume 2' powers into the second three and switch between 1-3 and 4-6 when you change costumes.
  2. ((Oh, my bad. Reseach proposals make my brain fuzzy.))

Allen stepped from the portal feeling...different. He couldn't quite place it, but something was definetely up. Shrugging it off as a flapper came at him, he waxed the demon with a well-placed cutter beam.

"General Fang!" a trooper noticed his re-appearance, slauting quickly, "Welcome back, Sir!"

Allen already wanted to explode, but it was too late. Well, not that the humans could do much with that name anyway. It was hidden deep in the UKUSA files, and even if they somehow got access to those, all they really said was that nobody knew who Allen Fang was or where he came from, only that his troop ran the ECHELON managers inside and out.

"Glad to be back." he therefore smiled back, "So what's going on here? You're not tyring to hog all the fun, are ya?"
  3. This was quite a suprise. And finding the creation of a superintelligence here gave this whole invasion, as well as its ringleader, whom Allen had decided to refer to as 6K for now, an entirely new scope. Not only that, it also gave him a list of the usual unusual suspects.

But the main point was that 6K obviously thought VERY highly of itself, bordering on invincibility. If it cast something that could pinpoint it to Terra, only to invade that same world later, it either had enough power at its disposal to overcome the construct, or it had a vastly overdeveloped superiority complex.

Allen really hoped it was the second.

As he looked about the flower-covered fields, he had to slide another filter over his visor. It was bright, and there was light everywhere - and light was something that was very annoying to him in large quantities.

But did he have a question that needed answering...?

No, not really. Things were meant to be found out, that was the fun of life. But then again, Allen had a friend who really had no idea what he was or where he came from. If he could bring him the answer, his friend might finally know where he belonged.

No, he couldn't ask that. Even It had denied an answer, and when It did something, there was a reason - and usually a damned GOOD reason.

"I'm good." he therefore answered with a smile...
  4. "Don't gotta tell me twice." Allen grinned, raising the gun-arm with the firing mode set on vortex cannon.

The sonic attack burst from the barrel, rippling the air and shattering anything that would just above the human threshold of pain. After all, Allen didn't want to harm his allies.

However, hurting Servant wasn't the point of this idea - the sonic waves bounding off everything made the air a completely ineffective conductor for the words of power that conjured up magical spells...
  5. "...I know myself a lot better than you may realize."

With this, Allen flung his shadow about before it could counter him holding its arm, feeling the need to embed a solid light grenade in it as he did so.

The solid white light virtually vaporized the shadow, and as the detoination pushed outward, it quickly collided with the darkness Allen had been encased in, stressing it to the breaking point...
  6. Allen was quite suprised to see the pictures on the walls. There was a Murok, an Itikil, even a Necrian.

And this gave him the first clue to the mystery of who controlled all this. The demons themselves were created by human belief in them, everyone knew this. The Rikti had exterminated both the gods and demons on their world by slaughtering all who believed in them. Allen's race had chosen a smiliar, if somewhat more...acceptable method.

However, at one point in time, they had had their demons. And the picture on the wall made it clear that whatever force controlled this had to be at least six thousand years old, since that was the last time the demons had surfaced.

Allen didn't even flinch as the being attacked. The demonic fire caused nothing in Allen's powersuit except for the poison-green glow around it to intensify for a moment. He just kept thinking.

Indeed, this being looked very much like an Itikil. Was it a posessed, and perhaps mutated, member of the mantis-like people? Shades were known to mutate whatever they posessed to turn it into a more efficient killer, so perhaps human demons could too. Allen decided to call it a Servant for now.

Then Allen's shadow appeared. The General smiled as it attempted a cutter beam attack, throwing up a reflection field and sending the beam careening out of the bubble of darkness he had been placed in, carving a nasty black scar into the wall.

As the shadow now formed its left arm into a blade, Allen simply blocked it with his own, then grabbed its arm and threw it to the ground, snapping the arm he held into a ninety-degree angle.

"Fool." he said to no-one in particular, but if the Servant could hear him, it knew who was meant...

((Ok, junction point. Is the shadow his personified dark side or just magic given form?))
  7. One of Allen's troopers stepped in their way.

    "General, request permission..."

"Denied!" Allen simply snapped back. He knew exactly what he wanted. Sometimes his troops took the loyalty thing a bit too far, "You know I'm the most experienced here. Not get back to the Crawler. If worse comes t worse, I want you to turn this whole place into a crater. Is that understood?"

    "Yes, Sir."

The Crawler's rear turret nopw slid from its resting position on the rear of the vehicle into firing position on the roof.

Fate of the universe...wow, sometimes I can't believe these people take themselves as this important.

Allen had a good mind to tell them that extradimensional invasions were a fairly coomon ocurrence. But then again, that wasn't within his allowed freedoms.

"Let's go." he simply said to Sae...
  8. Allen sighed. Fertilizer blessed by a guy wearing a pompous hat...geez, these humans came up with the weirdest weapons.

Then again, their belief created these demons. Makes sense that it could undo them as well.

It was definetely better than firing the main cannon here.

OK, now we need to get him to open his mouth."

"Nothing simpler than that." Allen smiled as he ordered the front gunner to take aim at the beast's foot, unloading a volley of plasma deep into its putrid flesh.

The demon roared to high heaven. That must have hurt quite a bit...
  9. The front turret of the Crawler roared away with a dual plasma blast as soon as it had a lock. The two assault bots joined in with more of the same, making sure to separate some to not become a single target.

Allen's trooper follwed the wave of fire with muti-missiles, the General at the forefront and in constant communication.

"Damn it, I need to know that this thing is already!" he growled into his microphone, "Can't anyone get me a clear reading?"

"Nav, get me a detailed reading." Allen ordered.

"Yes, Sir." the navigator responded, "We've got..."

A large, modern-day weapon of some sort appeared in each Zombie's hands, and they opened up.

The Mage, now atop the tank, still radiating the mist, threw disorienting potions at the demon.

"\Ok guys we have a monkey to beat!\" Sae commanded.
Sae's entire team, minus Chiyoko, exited the crawler.
Sae drew her pistols, Eichiro readied his mallet, Ryuji prepared an ice shield around himself and Chihaya, and ZERO summoned(OOC: summoning works, btw, I was curious because it sounded like the zombies came out of the ground) a large gatling gun in one hand and a large cannon in the other.
Sae leapt towards the beast, narrowly avoiding the debris from its attack. She opened fire on the beast's arms. She cringed when it shrugged them off as little more than mosquito bites.
ZERO meanwhile began firing at the beast's head, inflicting slightly more damage.
Chihaya took out her sacred baton, and uttered an incantation. On the ground in front of her, a beast resembling Fuega, but with a more sleek appearance, appeared in a gust of wind. Chihaya mounted the beast and took off to the air.
She began calling down lightning on the beast, not dealing much damage but doing something.
Ryuji, meanwhile, began launching ice darts at the beasts legs, causing much of it to freeze. His goal was to freeze its legs to the ground.
Eichiro, meanwhile, stayed back to protect the crawler.

((Hehe, we're all just waiting what monkey man does in response to this stuff ))
  11. ((So, what are Sea, the Magus, and Allen up to? Our giant demon is just sitting there yawming or something? ))
  12. ((HAH - found a way to weasel myself out of their mentaility ))

"They're through. Echo Squad, Echo two is changing call signs. Echo Two is now Pack Leader. Spread out and take it to 'em!"

The crawlers outside the portal could now fulfill the second part of their misison: retaking Ginza.

The night blazed brighter than the day as the battle began, robots and troopers with the support of their vehicles' cannons tearing demons to shreds left and right...

((We'll say they are doing that ))

    ---------------------

"Nav, get me a detailed reading." Allen ordered.

"Yes, Sir." the navigator responded, "We've got..."
  13. ((So...the portal closed or something?))
  14. Allen was impressed. This thing was easily larger than the Emperor - though its power certainhly didn't seem to compare to it from the initial readings.

"Doeply Alpha Troop." he ordered and as the now slower-moving Crawler kept going, hatches opened on is back beside where the large rear turret had been folded in.

The sparate comparments released assault bots into the battle field, the Crawler carrying six, but releasing only two.

The bots were ready to fight...
  15. ((Yeah, in that case she would see a single thought repeating over and over and over again - hence the name mono shield. It takes a really simple thought and coats the mind in it. She would definetely see that they weren't human, though, meaning she would know they were not mutants or humans changed in any way, but completely foreign. If you'd like to do something like this again, please consult with me next time ))

The Crawler's side doors closed and sealed as the engines roared to life. They sounded like turbines, but there was no apparent space for them or a source of fuel.

"Driver, get us going!" Allen ordered, strapping into a seat beside his troopers. He would never ask any of them to do anything he wouldn't do himself - something he thought every officer should hold as his or her highest standard.

The inside wasn't comfortable, but then it hadn't been designed for comfort, but for efficiency. Only the control indicators from the driver and the front and rear gunners provided illumination, a mix of colored light, but mainly orange. Definetely not enough to chase the dark gloom from the Crawler's interior.

The convoy started rolling, then rapidly sped up, crashing through ruins and rubble that littered the roads outside of Shunjuku Station like they weren't even there.

If Sae looked over to the readouts on the driver's instruments, the would see the crawler was rapidly approaching the 300 km/h mark...and yet it still turned on a dime...
  16. ((Actually, Chiyoko wouldn't be able to real Allen's thoughts, or the minds of the other crew for that matter, at least not without severe resistance, which every single one of them would immediately notice.))

((And Essex, I think the base your guys and Laserblade are at is being attacked ))
  17. "Fired up and ready to go, Sir." the lead Crawler's driver reported, "We're armed to the teeth and I'm willing to bet we can take down everything short of a Shade."

"Excellent." Allen commented, then turned back to Ryuji, "Let's get everyone together already, we've got a portal to take down."
  18. Hey, orignially I was gonna title the thread "Make room for the napalm BOMB!"

And the character copy tool is no longer down, so copying your characters is much faster and easier than remaking them.
  19. Well, the intention is to start this at that time and go to whenever, not to go there, say bla and leave again . I am very certain it will degrade into violence at some point and we will be seeing the party move from Pocket D to elsewhere, like the pvp zones or the arena (provided no game-killing bugs happen as soon as the map loads ).

For me, it starts at 8, but I usually don't go to bed until 11 or midnight, so we have lots of time indeed. Also, the reason I am goving prior notice is so that people have enough time to get the test client if they don't have it.
  20. Meet the RP crowd of these boards. Bring a few charcacters.

Where: Pocket D, Training Room Server
When: Wednesday, July 05, 0100 hours ZULU (2000 Romeo; 8:00 PM Eastern)

I think this is a time when everyone can be there, and Ryan should be back by then as well. So come and join us, meet the electronic personas of the people you play with. Bits and bytes wil be served, firearms are encouraged
  21. Allen nodded to Ryuji, then asked him to gather the rest of the troop as quickly as she could. With night falling, it would soon be the perfect time to go.

"Any news, Sir?" the driver of the lead Crawler asked as he approached it.

"Zip. No intel, no nothing. I want everyone to prepare as if we were going to World 15..."
  22. Makus Kama'Sur nodded to Mercus and picked up a dead TacOp. A normal human oribaly would have lost his lunch as the Magus sliced the man open from throat to groin with a dagger of glowing energy, but at least mercus remained stern and composed.

"Your comrade: fallen for you he has." Kama'Sur murmured to them as he reached into the man with one hand while pointing the other at the Malta, spreading his fingers widely.

His fingers twitched twice, then he removed his bloody hand from the dead Maltan again.

    "That's it?" Marcus almost sneered.

"Dance and chant: I could perform. But for paying cutomers: I usually save." the Magus retorted. A Rikti with a sense of humor...that was an odd one, "Magic: in essecne very masic. Strong soul and intent: matter most. Pure power: matters least."

Indeed, the other Malta began to feel much better, any pain disappearing, and cuts healing. Even fatigue seemed blown away by the spell.

"Recommendation: we move." Kama'Sur finished, nodding to hius own comrades, "Longbow systems: likely to come again soon."
  23. ((Oops. Thought I had give them some attention. My bad ))

Kama'Sur and the others were duly surprised when the Guardians shut down. Even though roughly half of their frams had been shot away by bullets and energy blasts, they should not have been finished yet.

As they were reduced to slag by more vicious fire, just to make surte they were really down, the Magus stood up from behind his cover and walked to Marcus.

"Reiteration: injured." he told him, "Expectation: number has increased. Remedy: I can."
  24. Allen's crew was already plotting a route from Shinjuku Station to the Ginza Portal. It wouldn't be an easy ride, but then again, it never was.

"Sae is a metahuman?" Allen commented, "That's news to me. Then again, she does handle that gun better than many an officer I've seen. Oh, but I did have a question - what kind of world are we expecting inside the portal? Or is that one of our unknown factors?"
  25. "Recommendation: accepted." Gunman Kul'Bere agreed, getting the Magus out of his stunned state to see if he could do anything.

"To help: allow me." Kama'Sur said to Marcus, holding him up by the shoulders. The Maltan didn't feel very comfortable like this, as the much taller Rikti held him at eye level so that his feet dangled off the ground, not to mention the stab wounds sending quite a bit of pain his way.

"Pain duration: short." Kama'Sur said as he locked eyes with Marcus, who felt a revitalizing force flow through him. For a second, it felt like a dentist drilling everywhere at once, then the pain was gone. As the Magus set him down again, he stood strong, not even feeling any more fatigue.

"Injured: I can help: any more?"
