I just picturte everyone as their main character or Avatar as my starting point and then go from there based on interactions

besides its rarely important enough to me personally to worry about it Mistform Squirell for example is adoreably cute imo regardless of his actual realworld gender and I always visualize
my conversations taking place with a cute yet high strung anthromorphic squirell girl that is ever so slightly translucent .

I guess the only times folks should really worry is if they are forming real world attachments and love intrests with a fictional character composed of polygons and engaging in naughty tells in which case you likely want to know if Tank Vixen Bambi is played by a lonely housewife or Joe the burley construction worker
