Quote:<tosses out her Ars Heroica gang hand signs at GF , like id forget who you are ....It was always a blast being on a team with you and running off from the team so we could kill thingsI don't even have to pretend to be a Virtuite.
Though she might have forgotten me since we haven't teamed in a while.
the actual request thread is over on Virtue Gids , if you or any of the AR's Heroica kids wants girly chibi art of a character or two just post over there and i'll totally cheat and bump you up on the list :P
if you posted something here folks would think im intrested in drawing art for art forum folks and they'd clutter up my art thread with ugly ol screenshots :P -
Thanks again for the Dragonberry sketch I found in my inbox , gift art out of the blue like that always makes me smile and it was a cool pose .
-
nope its still open , remember im fairly random in who I pick to draw and there is no guarantee i'll draw everyone buuuuut I think i've made a fairly large dent in the list so far :P

1) you are welcome to fold , spindle , mutilate , color , doodle over , use as your avatar or claim you drew this on another forum . I had fun drawing them but now their yours to do with as you please .
2)I'll be going over the list again this weekend so chances are if you weren't in this week i'll likely get you next week ...maybe ...who knows ! -
it was a hard choice on which of yours to do as you had two really eye catching characters , id have done both but wanted to spread things around a bit
Ver glad you liked it , it is really a fun looking character and I got to draw a cyclops eye (it was on my bucket list ) woohoo -
that looks awesome ruby , but im kinda sad as I liked your animated avatar it was quite amusing
and I love seeing folks color their stuff -
okay goona start doodling some and then im gonna heed the sirens call of the Halloween event .
I was gonna do head shots but I think i'll do chibis (or cartoon versions ) of the characters picked this weekend .
as usual i'll post them up on sunday , have fun trick or treating in game -

And Thanks Deebs I would really like that! Just let me know if its ok with Shia and when the next one is.
Talked to shia and he said he would likely set one up this friday at 7pm pacific , I have no idea what he would be working on (and you'll likely have to deal with a quarter of the screen taken up by Doctor Who as he draws )
Stream link ----> http://www.livestream.com/drunkfusdrawing
if his schedule changes at all i'll let you know but he seemed fairly certain that he could pop on and draw at that time . -

I've forgotten how to link an image into a message. That's how long it's been since I've frequented the messaged boards. ;_;
Also, herro DB. :3 -
Quote:When I use traditional pencils I used to smudge alot , on Big pictures I tend to use a small hand cloth to rest over penciled areas so that while working on another area I don't smudge things .These are some great tricks indeed! I only wish I could catch Shia's live stream myself. I've been frequenting DA reading all of Juggy's tutorials and any others I can get my hands on but its not the same without the live help right there with you. I've just started learning how to use Photoshop and I got a free copy of Elements 7.0 with my Bamboo Craft Wacom Tablet 3 weeks ago, so I'm still at the really painful stage of learning how everything works, and I think my hads are turning into graphite. I'm a lefty and I smudge my way across the page as I go along. I'm a big fan of erasers so maybe I should look into the blue pencil you speak of....
As far as photoshop I love it but im not very knowledgeable on alot of its tricks I even with shia to lean on for advice i've been seriously debating taking a photoshop class just to build up familiarity with it .
I'll talk to shia and see if we can maybe schedule a stream in advance (its usually a spur of the moment thing . but it really is fun and educational watching someone draw something from beginning to end and be able to ask questions )
I've been watching your thread and im really excited that your so obviously into it , I really wish alot more folks would take up the hobby as like anything the more you practice the better you get and prior to starting CoH I was drawing stick figures . -

Quote:lets see the link for it is here ----> http://www.livestream.com/drunkfusdrawing and you can watch past stream shows (we watch Doctor who at the same time ) sometimes its comission work , sometimes doodles and such .Oh oh oh! How can one go about watching this? I'd like to see his methods in action.
I kind of wish I had your guys' dedication to art like this. So many ideas to draw, yet I'm entirely too lazy to get good enough to do it.
he dosn't have a set time it just sorta happens so catching him live can be a bit hard unless you have him on AiM and can ping him -
Quote:the below is all very TLDR so fair warningreally like the hairy dude, his monocle is awesome, also love the cheesy grin on Silver Tooth. How do you get such clean lines? I'm having a hell of a time with that.
one of two ways ,
I sometimes sketch with a blue photo pencil ----> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-photo_blue (im real messy with lines but try not to erase things ) then find the lines I like and ink over the blue pencil .the blue pencil pretty much disapears when you scan it in .
(trick one Suichiro from these forums taught me or I stole it from him )
before learning the non photo blue pencil trick I would scribble out sketches then go back in and ink the lines I liked and only after inking would I erase anything , then when it was scanned in I would tweak the brightness in photoshop which allowed me to generally make any lite lines disapear and the inked lines very crisp and bright ,
(I've only recently started taking a class or two so all my early stuff is done the hard way )
lets see
pencil wise I use a refillable clickie pencil (I recently splurged and got a hoighty toighty fancy clickie pencil <.< >.> and my friends make fun of me for what I paid for it ...but its like my excalibur it really does feel right in my hand )
ink wise I use black sharpie markers for big black areas and micron pens of varying width for my inked lines (Microns are cheap and versatile and can be found at any art supply store )
paper wise I often buy a big pack of high end copy paper from the various office supply stores and sometimes pick up bristol board for larger images where im gonna be doing big doodles .
Toxic Shia has been doing alot of art streaming lately where he draws live , i've found it amazingly great as a tool to watch him since I can ask him questions about what he is doing and how he is using photoshop and i've picked up a few tricks from seeing other artists drawing live . -
thats what the freebie practice is totally for to draw characters , faces and looks id likely not normally draw (also to steal costume ideas ) and yeah while I still need a ton of practice its neat looking at my first attempt at headshots and seeing the difference between the two .
-
thanks folks , i'll be doing another batch this upcoming weekend .
