Hi All.

I recently bought a subscription to the game on the EU servers, as I am from the UK. Whilst I am having a good time, I can't help but feel like I am playing in an empty world. I have met some cool people but I still cannot shrug off the feeling that there is hardly anyone playing.

I was wondering if many EU players played on Freedom, or if there was a server with a healthy population of EU players on it. I am still going to give the EU servers a chance, as I know it is about the quality of players rather then the quantity really, but some general ideas about the population would be cool.

in reply to this, I must have something enabled that gets rid of some of the nicer graphics settings, as now the US client has no reflective water...

I just logged onto the US servers just to see what the population was like there. In doing this I noticed that the graphics seems slightly better on the US servers. In particular, the water on the US server reflected the world on the surface, whilst on the EU server, the water for me does not do this.

Is the US server ahead on a patch or something? The graphics settings on both clients are exactly the same so I am unsure why it is like this.

Any thoughts on the matter??

That is quite depressing then that there was only 130 online last night then What are the server numbers like on the US servers?

thank you Dante I am sure I will be in touch at some point. I am hoping that, like you said, I will find this server friendly due to the low population.

I was wondering, in my random exploration I found a npc talking about the hero corps, what is this? I think it asked me if I wanted to change the level I fight that, etc.

Is there any other advice you could give me? I was partying with someone and they recommended getting the hover ability from the third power pool set. As a healer I was going to get the leadership powers, but i guess a travel power would help more? I guess I am spoilt from my brief time in Champions Online where you got a travel power quickly.

Hi Everyone.

I have an ongoing thread in the player help forum, but I thought I had best post one here too seeing as though I just bought the game. A bit early I know but hey, lets hope I enjoy it! I know the server may be a bit empty but at least one more person is here now eh!

Now that I am going to be here for awhile, I thought I had best seek out a supergroup, or at least meet a few players here. Is there any custom chat channels I should join or things of that nature? I also read that many players just rush to 50 using something called AE missions? What are those, and I am not too keen on rushing anything as from previous experience I know it can ruin the enjoyment of a game.

Just a quick update on me.

The trial is going well, and I may just bite the bullet and subscribe soon, will give it another day or two just to make sure.

my Characters name is Davire so if you see him hopelessly wandering around the Union server, its me!

Just visted the pocket D place; it was pretty cool. I need a villain to finish one mission though, but I am only level 5 so am sure it can wait.

The server seems quite quiet, however I was on at 3pm earlier. Does the server search look for those that are in super bases or in the little mission instances?

thanks Soul I might just do that. Annoyingly I wanted to team up with a fellow free trial dude from france, but we couldn't invite each other to a team! Kind of annoying. I worry about population, I find someone there who straight away wants to team and no luck!

thank you for all the replies so far. I am starting playing today on one of the Eu servers. Worried about the population though. In regards to playing on the US servers, I would mainly be playing in the day/evening UK time. Would there still be alot of players?

On average how many players are on the EU side, and I guess, how many that speak english? Its a shame that from reading the boards, the UK population at least seems fairly low?

Anyway I will reply with my character name once I have created him, and we can hopefully go from there.

Hi everyone.

I am downloading the free trial now, and am wondering if anyone could help me to choose a server? I am looking for a well populated and fun server, as I don;t see the point in playing on a server that has no one on it.

I played champions online for a month, and unfortunately did not like the game or the direction the developers were taking the game in. How is CoX lately? The community still fun and interesting? Does the game still hold up? Is the game split up into many instances like champions?

Hope to hear from you soon, and if anyone has a guild they would like me to join, please get in touch.
