  1. Ankhare is a Claws/Reflexes Stalker with no sets in her powers - I've been away for about a year and a half, and missed out on a lot of the IO stuff.
She is, however, triple slotted with SOs in each of her secondary powers, making her very good at not being hit. For example, without realising which mission I'd chosen from my list (I'd picked it up for teaming with some friends later) I did the Expel Arachnos from the Circle base mission that ends up with a scrap against Silver Mantis, and recommends taking a team. It took about five minutes of constant slugging for me to whittle her HP down, but I didn't get dropped, and didn't have to pop greens like they were going out of fashion. I will admit not having played any other Stalker secondary powerset, and having picked Reflexes because it went with my character concept (She was my second Villain AT, created on the first weekend of CoV), but Reflexes is incredibly good at stopping you from getting dead. Most of the time when I do get done, it's in the time it takes me to toggle six powers back up after being mezzed - but I13 should fix that.

However, I will agree with the tactics that other people use above - You may not be a Brute, trying to smash everything in your path, but you are an assassin, who doesn't want witnesses walking in on you when you're doing your main task - take your time, and enjoy the sneaking around and finding interesting ways of shivving people.

The other thing that really helps Ankhare is the TP Pool.
For big groups that I don't think she can Tank, I use the following: Sneak over, snag a target, get around a corner (having realised that TP has a straight-line range, careful study of the map can give you all kinds of interesting places that are in range of your foe, and yet make any of his mates have to run all round the houses to back him up) and TP him in, AS him and repeat until your opposition is a manageable number, then go in and wreak havoc.
She also held her own against the Server-wide Zombie Apocalypse at 13:00 on Sunday, even (I apologise if you read this, but from where I was sat I was a little amused) when a Spider VEAT of similar level to myself turned up and lasted about a minute.
I do actually find Ankhare a fun character to play, but I am going to have to raise her difficulty again, as I'm finding most of her missions far too easy, due to her defense being too high.

Edit: Oh - And I haven't got Placate. I can see it being very handy, but I just don't feel like getting it.
  2. I used to get tartan buildings (I'm not joking, I have screenshots somewhere).

It tended to be driver problems. I was running a Radeon 9800 with the Catalyst drivers, and every so often after an issue or a patch, I would get tartan buildings until I got the latest Catalyst.
I would also get white Eidolons, which may parallel your white Dark Servants.

I personally haven't seen any tartan buildings since I upgraded to an X800, but I would probably suggest keeping the Catalyst drivers up to date.
  3. That would make sense - Mine was Kalinda, and my friend's was Burke.
  4. Thanks for the quick response.

That may be true, but I'm sure that one of my alts did a collaborative cape mission (although I may be mistaken).
And even if that is the case, why did it not work on the mission beforehand?

Still, I'll probably team with the same guy again this evening, and we'll see if any other missions do similar.

Can anyone confirm or deny that the cape mission can't be done collaboratively?
  5. Morning!

Anyone else having problems with collaborative missions? Whilst playing last night as my 20MM on Union, teamed with a friend's 21MM, we did the Cape mission mini-arc. I checked my settings before I went in to the mission, as I hadn't been on for a few months, and wasn't sure if I'd set Tropane to allow collaboration.
    It said:
    Collaborative Missions: Enabled.

Oh good, I think, and we go and clear out the warehouse full of Longbow and destroy the crates.
Mission Completed appears on our screens, and after a brief IC chat, we leave.
Upon leaving the mission, I open my missions window, to discover that my version of the mission is still listed as active, and so, slightly surprised (but not horrifically bothered, as it was a walk in the park), we do the mission again. Before we go in, I set my Collaborative Missions flag to Always Ask.

We complete that one, and we go on to the cape mission, picking up another friend on the way. The team of three goes in, does Longbow, breaks the statues, and shivs up Stalwart.

    Mission Completed

No mention of wanting to close mine (as we had done my friend's L21 version), and upon leaving the mission, my version is still active and incomplete in the Mission window.

    Any ideas?

I have /bugged it already, I was just wondering if anyone else had had a similar problem.
