Hey, thanks for being completely dismissive, Iron. Implying I'm a paranoid is a lot more useful than actually offering personal experience and insignt. You must have been so busy frothing that someone had a concern of no interest to you, that you completely read over how I discussed the matter with people of good AND bad "luck". Keep racing for that flame, and thanks for the lack of feedback.

I'm a 46 month vet with three Lv50 Heroes and three Lv50 villains. I also have a wide variety of alt characters between Lv20s and Lv40s across three different servers. I started playing CoH a few short weeks after release and beta tested CoV. Since 2004 I've had a few months off here and there, but overall CoX has been my first and main MMO. There's no place like home. I've recently noticed a disturbing trend though, which I'm beginning to believe is more than just a simple case of "bad luck." I belong to a large, very active SG on Guardian server, and know many of that servers veterans and regulars. Since IO enhancements first appeared I've heard multiple stories about the amazingly rare recipe drops frequently recieved by most everyone I know, many of whome have been part of the CoX community for less than a year. On more than one occasion I've learned someone will recieve as many as three rare purple drops in a single 24 hour period by taking part in the very same activites and missions I've frequently done. I'm forced to wonder, with all the time I've invested in CoX, and all the money I've spent on my subscription, why have I only recieved two rare recipe drops in 46 months? I've made note of my "bad luck" and have had several discussions about it with people more "lucky" than myself. I've also met a few others who have "luck" similar to mine and noticed the common thread is that our accounts originated in the earliest issues of CoH. I have to wonder if older accounts are somehow less "lucky" because we're accessing some hidden, forgotten code somewhere that prevents us from accessing the same random-reward algorithm accessed by newer accounts. I'd like to know if anyone else playing CoH/CoV has had similar problems with "luck."

I love this idea, maybe even an option to tailor the uniform of your staff like S.H.I.E.L.D, A.I.M or HYDRA. I would also love to see the option to purchase a Black Market or Wentworths rep for VG/SG bases, like the vendors you can purchase in Guild Wars for your hall.

At level 1 in Breakout you're given the option to go with Kalinda or a contact outside the Arachnos organization. At level 41 though, you're forced to choose an Arachnos Allegiance or go without highly advantageous powers most others will accept? Permanency doesn't bother me much. I'm locked into DM/DA Brute, may as well be locked into Patron Powers as well, and I play more than one character anyway so I'll probably see a few of the Patron Powers first hand. The Arachnos Allegiance, however, is kind of disappointing, and saying you don't HAVE to take a patron powerset is kind of like saying you don't NEED a drivers license. Yes I will continue to exist without a car, but I have a pretty slim chance of getting anywhere without one.

I know there are a lot of upset tankers out there right now, and I'm not sure if it's the right time to mention it given how unhappy you are over I5, but I was wondering if anyone had noticed that Phase Shift is totally useless now? So much time and effort is being spent on the current state of tankers that it's hardly been mentioned.

So far Issue 5 seems to be Status Quo, however.... The current state of Phase Shift completely negates my original vision of a dark shadowy figure springing from the Nether-realms to deliver justice to unsuspecting evildoers. It's not even useful as a means to escape death at the last minute. Phase Shift has gone from being my favorite, and one of the most useful in game abilities, to being completely worthless under any circumstance. I should take this opportunity to thank those responsible for all the debt I've gotten trying to activate PS before getting defeated during PvE. While I've heard that assurances were given that PvP would not effect PvE game play, the Phase nerf is an obvious indicator that it will.
I'm realistic enough to know that my complaint won't amount to action, that one hundred complaints wouldn't amount to action. The development team will give us what they want, when they want and our only recourse is to stop playing or accept what we're handed and wait for the next helping. If any of you working at CoH care, I hate the PS nerf, not because I abuse it in the arena (because I've never even entered the arena), but because it completely negates the character I set out to play when creating the Dark Horse. Roll back the Phase Shift nerf, apply an arena limitation to it if necessary, and let me play the character I developed.
If you're looking for things to fix how about a full on Teleport Self overhaul. As far as travel powers go I don't think you could have come up with anything more clumsy and ineffectual. How about more than 2 costume additions a year. Trenchcoats maybe?
