Well, I already have a US account (Got the trial account yesterday, bought the full game today). Also, it seemed to have been a downtime maintenance issue or something, as I was able to connect perfectly fine a little later.

Hi there, folks.
I tried the EU Version of CoH (I'm working the Trial at the moment) and it's working fine. However, I was dismayed to find that I'm unable to meet up with my friends (All of which are in the US) because of the whole EU/US thing. So I figured the best way would be to download the US client. However, I'm trying to get updates and whatnot and it's not working for me. It's just sticking at "Connecting... #<number>", with the number going up. Is this something to do with the fact that I'm trying to connect from Europe, or is it just maintenance mode (in which case I apologise for posting this message)?
