I noticed the cheekbone looking at it now, and really see what you are saying. The hand I think 2 things happend.
1. I wanted her gripping the ledge which is anatomically easy and natural to do but may not have come off that great.
2. More important I think I was not sure how to handle the glove detail at that angle for a few reasons. The glove design seems like it should be kinda stiffl and to make that pose would need to bend and I am not sure how I would bend it or where it would bend. The natural anatomy in that position would be wrist and forearm suppination (think that is the right term or rotating inwards), the glove just did not seem to want to go that way. It may have been better to detatch the hand portion from the forarm part rather then bend it like I did. Another way would have been to have her lay her hand along the ledge rather then grasping it, I think that would solve the oddness, but not what I wanted. I you remove the glove detail I think the arm actually looks ok, the detail is screwing it up I think.
I also kinda realized I was doing 2 point perspective unintentionally, and that could be tweeked some, but that is me being nitpicky. I really tried to push myself somewhat with this and with assassin. If you do not push you do not get getter right? I find that I do ok with kinda stock poses, but if I use a stock pose it sometimes lacks visual punch and falls flat and looks flat. When I am dissapointed in what I did I usually find it is because it lacks the impact I was striving for.
I do like the detailed stuff, glad it shows. I have been working on a portrait item for one of my chars that has some chainlink in it kinda in closeup so you can not fudge it. What a pain in the [censored], took me like 2 hrs just on that.
Thanks for the comments, and feedback. I really have very little experience and no formal training but am having loads of fun and do find it relaxing. -
Ok this is Voodookitten, I put her is a simple environment (this is acually take 2 my 1st rough was not doing it for me). I will now officially be calling these line drawing, and I know portions are still slightly rough.
Inking and color may come later (waiting on a new toy). So take a look and tell me what you think!
I know this is out of order a little, but I also stated I would do what hit me. I will attempt to do as many as possible be very patient. -
OK working on number 2, attempting a char in setting this time. This is really the 1st time I have attempted something like that, and I think it is going fairly well (the sceen is not too complex by design) I would call it a rough at this point, just starting on details. Then I come home and leave my fav pencil and eraser at work. grrrrrr

OK here is the 1st go at it. Obviously just a sketch at this point, I can not do them this fast and shade and color also, sorry.
Assassin of Thor -
Ok a ton of responses (as kinda expected). I have the 1st few referance drawing printed out and ready to be used. I will try and get to everyone in time, so keep an eye out, but my output with RL things ( like a real job, kids, relationships etc) limits my production to maybe 1 per day. SO be very patient. But doing some of these will force me to push myself some, and well, practice, so thanks for the oppertunity!

They got the snot beat out of them be a peppy 16 year old cheerleader, of course. And she seems so happy to have done it!
The new guys poses were much more complex, and I think better. I was being a littel lazy the 1st time around. -
Cool pep, I really like all the detail work. You even lightly shaded the flames on the boots, which you can barely see in my referance photos. Sweet. Ty for trading.

In an effort to get better, and I really would like to get much better, if you do not mind having your char sketched by a relative novice post some good referance shots here. I make no promisses on what order, how long, of if I will do this. I will do what strikes me when I have time, but will say the higher in the list the more likely it will be. I appologise in advance for butchering any characters, you have been warned.
But I do think this is a great forum for borrowing other people's ideas so I can concentrate on other aspects of drawing. So I really do appritiate any brave souls willing to let me have a shot. Thanks in advance.

Gonna do some revisions on mine, for obvious reasons. Will repost when I get the chance.
And thanks on costume compliment. -
Ok the pile was not to supposed to be that suggestive, but yeah it is on second look.
My coh main, if you feel like doing it, no big rush.
Celsia -
Here is a quick sketch (took me around 1 1/2 hrs), hope you like. I can do more with it when I have more time, but I really like getting the oppertunity to practice.
Pep Rally -
I will just draw it, if you really want to trade, great, but it is nice to get some practice.
