I've been thinking on it, we can say, by good fortune, that the flyer has arrived where it was going by that point.
(I am really sorry about this but the group wouldn't be stupid enough to take an arachnos flyer into american air space - that's asking to be shot down!)
They will land on a cargo freighter, it's headed for Independence Port and the crew are quick to guide them to a place to sit and rest between the crates. -
Thanks for the interest and support guys!
-
....
...the flyer wasn't going to American soil.
As the tannoy said the doors would have been locked after Bozeman dived.
The Phantom Army would have had no effect on the flyer....
Can people please ask before doing something with my plotty thing? I know I had real life and wasn;t around last night but.. -
Breathing a sigh of relief Fianna rested her forehead against a window of the Corporation flyer as it took to the air. Her heart pounded in her ears as she tried to calm her nerves, she had always had issue with an abundance of adrenaline whilst in the field. It was handy whilst in a situation but became an issue when her energy levels crashed afterwards. Emerald eyes surveying the scene below she gave a small nod.
"Bathory's sealing down the castle" She remarked vaguely as the castle became encassed in a dark substance. "Not seeing many Nighthunters on the ground, definatelt not any large clusters, looks like most had some sort of exit strategy."
---------
As Bozeman moved to the access doors the internal tannoy hissed into thofe, a crackled voice emitting from it.
"I'd do as the man says. Hold on tight, we didn't pull you out of there just to lose you to the skies! We're locking down those doors but it might not hit in time" -
Been chatting with Gorbaz over overarcing plot stuff and we've worked something out. The bane spider is indeed there with the Nighthunters, enjoy ^^
-
Quote:Umm.. as Pious wrote that they'd been ported out, wouldn't it be best to talk to him rather than assuming your character is there?A man in a heavy suit of golden-yellow Bane Spider armour stood inside, hanging on to one of the railings, the I.D. tage "Bozeman" just visable on the left arm plating. His helmeted gaze turned in the direction of the assembled Nighthunters and sneered to himself, the heroes not able to see his expression.
"Looks like it's your lucky day, hunters" -
Aquis sat on the floor of the grand magical hall, blinking slowly at the disk in front of her. Flattening her hand against the view of the room the Nighthunters had been in moments before she spoke steadily, her ears still ringing.
She spoke steadily, her voice audible to everyone in the room. "They're gone" She informed the Corporation and Court members alike "Arachnos are scattering the remaining hunters, there's nothing more we can do in the castle. Corporation, pull out and get to the flyer. Elizabeth, we'll see if we can find your missing 'guests'" -
There was no need for verbal communication between the Corporation members, the team turned to Bill as their leader and all it took was a nod from the infamous Headbreaker and they knew what to do. They'd follow his lead when he charged. They were used to confrontations far more complicated than this, trapped and injured prey but they had a job to do.
Guided by Bill's approval and an unseen arcane push the strikeforce strode forward, bearing down on the Nighthunter's loved ones, they weren't going anywhere. -
Just a quick ooc to let you know I have Riled's permission to move Bill and that Bolt has said that Iron Alligator would move with the team.
-
Afloat in the air in the center of the Hall of Fates within The Corporation base Aquis held both her hands to her sides and the glow of her eyes intensified. "Shhh..." she whispered, providing a boon to her coworkers as they rushed into the castle to gain a better assessment of the situation. Wincing she dropped to the floor, landing on one knee as her ears bled from taking the blunt of the sonic attack for her allies, but healing it would have to wait. Instead she focused on the disk still hovering in front of her, aglow with the scenes around the castle and within, getting around the securities had been a nightmare and more than one image was a little fuzzy but the idea was there.
"My audio is out for now.." she warned her strikeforce, her tone as steady as ever despite the pain.
Reaching up she touched the disk and ran her fingers over its surface, silently guiding those that needed direction, bestowing a small 'tug' to get them moving in the correct direction. She'd gotten a feel for the castle and the space below on her visit there and knew what her team had to do to fulfill their agreements.
-----
Closely instep with Bill and Gator, Fianna rushed through the corridors of the Castle, eyes vigilant to any sign of threat. Moving swiftly with the rest of the team behind them the Corpers moved with precision and purpose towards where they were sure the fleeing captives would be. -
Awesomesauce, thanks guys!
-
Quote:Making final prepearation and oranisations to the contents of her medical bag Fianna gave a nod and was quick to her feet as she felt the jolt of the flyer impacting the ground."THINK I CAN SEE KURZE!!!"
Bill, once again, placed a cigar to his lips as the ship decended behind Castle Bathory. Clouds of dust went up as the flier touched down, it's landing gears compressing against the weight of the large machine...
"I'm ready" she declared before pausing a moment and looking around the team "And if you get even the slightest scratch, yell out, I'm a devoted medic for this one and I'd rather deal with one wound at a time rather than patients at deaths door" She instructed firmly, all trace of the shyness she had in social situations stripped away in the light of an important task at hand.
A breeze picked up around the pair, a draft that seemingly had no source. It picked up speed and angrily encircled the grappling pair. The wind died off as rapidly as it had formed, leaving with it a single word to both men. "Don't" -
Shuffling her feet begrudgingly as she waddled slightly through Operations, the heavily pregnant form of a blonde woman approached the group preparing to take off. Swiftly she placed a hand on Bill's arm and the other instinctinctively over the bump of her stomach. "Aquis is in fullon mojo mode so won't be on comms but will be guiding things through her scrying thimgummy" She declared before smiling playfully "That being the technical term"
"I'll be helping Tommy here on comms if you need anything" she added quickly before looking into the eyes of the man known as the Headbreaker "and take care, yeah?"
Meanwhile the statuesque form of red redhead dressed in a small back and green costume with a radiation theme strolled up to the flyer slinging a bag over her shoulder. "One field medic reporting for duty" Doctor Bradley, better known to some as Radiation Burn, reported to the group in a soft Irish lilt. -
A flyer arrives with mercenary companies, hitmen, bounty hunters and their ilk:
((This is a villainous meetup for all 'villainous' of a professional/mercenary type. There will be ic trading, making of contracts etc etc It'll take a little imagination to transform the place into a weapons faire as well as a bar but should be doable.
For those unsure of where the Monkey Bar is; it's around the corner from the Pocket D entrance, between it and the Natural Store, there's a boxing monkey painted on the wall near the door.))
Rules of Entry:
- All weapons are to be left at the door (secure storage will be provided)
- Drinking is more than allowable but if anyone gets too drunk and disorderly they'll be 'asked' to leave.
- Fighting is prohibited.
- No stealing from the venue, atendees will be checked upon leaving.
EDIT (JULY 3RD):
A few images from me to help for tonight, firstly; how to get there:
Around the corner from the Pocket D truck in Sharkhead is the Monkey Bar, it's not too far from the Natural Store. This image shows the entrance, that arachnos minion clad in white at the back there is the natural store.
Secondly; to help with imagining what has been done to the bar and for organising RP, a map:
Some fixtures are there ingame - the cage, the bar, pool tables & gambling but the rest will take a little more imagination. Here's a rundown of areas of the ball and a few in and out of character notes:
*Entrance - Weapons are checked upon entry and people are checked to ensure no thefts have occured upon exit ((There may or may not be a PC availiable to do this, if there is no character at the door please assume there in an NPC performing these duties))
*Pool tables - games of pool are free to play and gambling on games is perfectly allowable. However pool cues are not weapons, anyone seen using them as such will be excorted from the building and will be expected to pay for damages. ((Outcomes of games of pool are to be decided upon between the players. If an outcome can;t be reached through ooc discussion I recommend using the ingame rock/paper/scissors as the final decider))
*[Bar - Drinks are provided by The Corporation and are fairly priced. Overindulgance is against the rules of the event however and the barstaff may choose not to serve anyone who appears to be too heavily intoxicated. The bar area will also be used networking and the ironing out of contracts. By the bar there is a noticeboard detailing bounties (ones from Open Season being the most notable) ((This corner of the Monkey Bar will be the main area for employing mercs/mercs offering their services. As the sponsors of the event at least one member of The Corporation should be present here throughout most of the evening))
*Weapons Faire - A wide variety of weapons, both traditional and modern are displayed here, these are examples of what the sellers present have on offer and all weapons are kept under lock and key, with safeties on and without ammunition. The weapons here are for display only to help sellers promote their wares. ((Feel free to be a buyer or seller in this area of the room, it needs some imagination and there would be NPCs both buying and selling here))
*Gambling - Card tables, slot machines and placing bets on the Cage is handled here. ((As games come down to chance I advise using ingame resolutions for them - rock/paper/scrissors or coin toss and playing with the dice roll for other games. Bets can be placed either using ic money or if you find an agreeable other party you can bet infamy. Betting on things in the cage will be covered below on the 'cage' section of the overview))
*Salvage Stalls - The buying, selling and trading of incomplete items ((Both ic items and if you find someone agreeable ingame salvage and inf can exchange hands))
*Arcane Equipment & Other Stalls - Magical trinkets, armour, devices, other physical items not held on stalls elsewhere.
*The Cage - Two kinds of fights occur here: Monkey Fights and Gladiator Matches:
--- Monkey Fights involve three teams of monkeys:
Blue Team:
Darwin's Bane
Furious BoBo
Furious George
Green Team:
Nigel
Nigel's Friend
Captain Eeep!
Red Team:
Banana Bandito
The Banana-nator
Thing Kong
Gamblers can bet either on which team they think will win or on the performance of an individual monkey.
---Gladiator Battles
Gladiator bouts can take many forms, from one on one duels, to team battles, to free for alls. Safeties are fitted into the cages to ensure that should atendees wish to indulge in a fight that they will not be heavily injured for the duration of the evening. Any atendees are welcome to organise any of these gladiator events throughout the evening.
((Using the handydandy arena option in the menu any characters wishing to set themselves up as gladiators can do so. To keep the IC flow I heavily suggest the cage map is chosen and that observers be invited into the bout if people nearby are interested. Once a bout is resolved an ooc note to all present as to the conclusion would be appreciated as the cage is in the middle of the room!))
((Gambling should be resolved as above; agreed upon ooc by all interested parties, use of ingame infamy is not essential just an option for those who may be interested)) -
Quote:Also June 3rd, Aquis speaks to Blade Balfear and The Corporation decide to do a little more research into the situation.Erm not too sure on an outcome actually. Big Game has a general idea on how he plans to close the plot but that can still stretch on for another couple of weeks. The thread has distinctively lacked dating and even the titled chapters are blurred but what is certain are the dates of my coresponding Nighthunters SG sub-plots.
Thursday 3rd June: Nighthunters learn about an Open Season declared by archenemy Elizabeth Bathory
Quote:Friday 4th June: Nighthunters hold off the descent on Moth Cathedral (though Damsel's first post didn't show a date)
Quote:Wednesday 9th June: Nighthunters hold a wedding and seven of them are stolen by Lilith.
Thursday 10th June: Nighthunters chased down Lilith and learn of Castle Bathory's dungeons.
Quote:Wednesday 16th June: Nighthunters plot to attack the enemy and liberate their stolen loved-ones.
Thursday 17th June: Nighthunters storm Cap Au Diable and have targeted Castle Bathory. That's today and I think something's planned for in-game. -
Sooo... this assault on Cap au Diable, has the outcome already been worked out? And when does it take place? I'm trying to work out Corporation involvement by that time and whether they'd need to step in or would indeed be alerted to the situation at all... Sorry just getting a real grating of gears in my mind over relating thread stuff to ingame and it all seems very big and sudden ^^;;
-
As for untargetted:
Nychus expressed an interest although he and Stryke (Warscythe) are likely working stuff out.
If any hunter hunters want something to go after I have this pair I can offer as they will hunt mosters to preserve magical balance. They could be fun for an interesting encounter; I'm happy to heavily injure one or both of them but not in a killing them frame. -
Yeah, I just got a bit lost is all, it was a real flurry!

Quote:Grinning brightly in the dark Kimiko dropped her arms from around the young man and instead grabbed hold of his hand. "Aren't you just the cutest thing?" she replied gently "Be glad it's going down this way, I could just have claimed the bounty on you and called it a day, at least this way you'll be safe from the hunter hunters!""Hey, I'm sure this is just some sorta.. y'know a misunderstanding or something. I don't want no trouble, so yeah I'll cooperate."
Shaking her head she gave a gentle tug on his arm "Come on, I'll lead you out" She instructed almost kindly before her scattered mind refound an old train of thought "And on the way you can tell me what Big Game was thinking leaving a sweet relative like you all alone at a dangerous time, I know I know where all of my family are." -
Near the Cage, Pocket D.
Aquis sat near Blade, her expression professional for most of the conversation with the young man as they quietly discussed something barely audible over the music and yells at the fight in the metallic structure. More than once the witch's face relaxed to show a serene smile or look of empathy as the clearly distressed Silvation spoke.
Again, the pair parted with a hug.
Later that day, Castle Bathory, Cap au Diable
The unmistakable form of Headbreaker was sighted entereing Elizabeth and the Court's base of operations, alongside him a well dressed man with white hair, his eyes covered by a pair of shades. All was quiet for a while outside the castle walls until sometime later another guest arrived in the form of Aquis.
Time passed before the trio of representatives from The Corporation left the castle one at a time. First the white haired man, a sharklike grin on his face. Later Headbreaker strolled out of the door, talking on his communicator and seemingly agitated over something. Lastly, Aquis, a good while after her coworkers and her body language more relaxed. The turquoise glow around her eyes flickered for a moment and a gentle smile formed on her lips before she stretched her small feathered wings and took to the sky. -
Quote:"Yeah... erm, I think you probably want Big Game. Er... and he ain't here at the moment. Thinking about it you probably shouldn't be here, things ain't safe at the moment. Um... how about I go try restore the power, and I can take a message for you?" He said conscious his heart was beating faster the longer he remained in the anonymous woman's embrace.
An airy giggle escaped Kimiko as the young man floundered, it was really kind of adorable. As he mentioned the notion of her mistaking him for Game she refocused a little, carefully scanning the contours of his face.
"Can you blame me? You do look quite a bit like him" She purred quietly "You just need a little more age and a lot more confidence" She decided aloud with a tiny nod, still happily clinging to him.
"But you're right, I was here for Game, but there's been a change of plan. You're coming with me instead! The question is; are you going to let me turn the light back on and come along peacefully or do I need to knock you out? Because really cutie, both work just fine by me!" -
The Hyenas Lodge, The Flea Pit, St. Martial
A satisfied smirk played on Kimikos lips, it had been so very easy knocking out the power, she just hoped Big Game proved more challenging than the brief toying with the wiring. Lazily she stretched out, extending her arms above her head as she strolled easily through the old derelict casino. Were she a more suspicious sort she may have felt that the ease with which shed gotten this far was some sort of trap but those thoughts were far too sensible and dull and she always loved to do things the less cautious and more fun way. Gently she slid her favourite pair of shades up her nose and grinned as the dark corridors stood out in stark green lines for her.
Tapping the edge of the shades once different colours flickered over the screen of her shades overlaying heat signatures and power sources. Sure, hunting around in the dark would have added to the game but she didnt get to use her shades anywhere near enough. Scanning the rooms lazily her deep brown eyes soon settled on the warm colours of a bodys heat signature, very much alive, scrambling and if the readings were anything to go by quite nervous. Caught off guard and prone, wonderful. Picking up her pace the young woman practically skipped towards the door, her metallic tail swinging with glee behind her.
It wasnt until she bounded through the doorway that she noticed that her prey wasnt the one shed originally intended to find. Her eyes lit up and a quiet purr escaped her as she looked over the male form, and more notably the metallic arms extending from his back. Spider back rigs were impressive enough but one with tools? It was inspired. He was coming home with her now, he just had to. Of course he had the potential to be bait for Big Game but even if that fell through he already seemed too unique to let go just yet.
Without any further forethought Kimi rushed forward and pounced. Her slender form collided with Shops but rather than attacking the young man she simply tightly wrapped her arms around his shoulders in a tight hug as she looked upwards carefully scanning the tooled arms with a purr. Hey there cutie... oooh is that properly impervium tipped? Most cheap knockoffs just have shavings of alloys... She cooed happily in the dark. -
St. Martial, The Rogue Isles
Whilst her 'cousin' Aquis plotted and schemed, Kimiko Negami, better known to some as 'Kawaii nekobot' or 'Gun Fu', left one of her favoured labs in St. Martial, putting finishing touches to one of her beloved pistols forming her own plans for this 'Open Season'. strolling easily through the busy streets a small purr settled in the back of her throat, she loved games and the chance of some good pay alongside it was too much to pass up. Her metallic tail swung idly from side to side, denoting her distinct pleasure as she savoured the ideas that were forming in her busy mind. Two possible targets, both equally tantalising.
Big Game, she'd heard of him, and his reputation. The purr in her throat grew louder as she contemplated the 'fun' she could have with him before dealing with him. she'd need to be sure to call in the boys for that one though, shooting him with her guns ran the risk of splattering blood on those trophy tiger stripe trousers that she would need to keep. The boys would need to be careful with their laser fire however, vapourised trophies were a lot less fun.
Then there was the Nighthunters and most notably to her one of their higher ranking members, Blade, one of her exboyfriends. Last time they'd met in the field had been during the Rogue War and that had been oh so much fun, he stood up well but had eventually fallen. Silently she wondered if it would be even more satisfying to kill him, he'd moved on so quickly after they had broken up and whilst that had had little to no effect on her she felt it really should have hurt him more than it seemingly had. Then again, maybe death was too easy, perhaps she'd just get Stompy to remove one of his arms, he'd looked so much better with a cybernetic, it'd be like a favour!
Her thoughts were cut short as one of her cybernetic cat ears swivelled, honing in on an awful screeching "Silly Wailers" she muttered with a small playful smile before leaping into the air, engaging the jets in her boots to get a better vantage. Soon a flurry of bullets filled the air and Kimiko held two smoking high-tech pistols outstretched in front of her, a smirk curving her lips as she echo of the gunshots subsided and she was left alone with her thoughts once more.

The Corporation Base
Six impressive, yet entirely different, individuals gathered around a large ornate table hidden away in the secure boardroom within The Corporation base.
Sat at the head of the table was the petite form of the mysterious Aquis, her eyes gently glowing as she looked over her fellow directors and the managers of The Corporation taking in each of their opinions on the whole 'Open Season' situation.
Stoic and silent, the Spirit Wolf, Koda, one of the heads of Operations took in each suggestion, carefully weighing their value. as always his input was minimal until the time was right and his insights clear and to the point.
Beside him was Techbot ALPHA, free of his cocoon of wires and back amongst the living rather than the datastreams once more. Vocal and occasionally sarcastic the Corp Head of Thechnology was head on in his approach wanting nothing more than to show the groups enemies a lesson.
Stood at the opposite end of the table to the chairman was Ubermensch Kahn, his face a twisted melted mess following a bad run in with Humanity First member Cyberspace. The fire within him burnt as brightly as ever however and his sharp military mind crafted schemes that met the approval of many of the people around the table.
Sat near Kahn was the newest Corporation manager, Alley, silent and seemingly a little lost amongst all the talk the former street thug listened and tried to take it all in.
And beside her was the final of their number, Head of Security and former chairman Headbreaker, his impressive form making the comfortable chair he sat in seem small in comparisson. He too was vocal in his opinions throughout the meeting.
As the meeting drew to a close Aquis gave a small nod of approval and gentle smile "Kahn, can I get you to write that up as a proposal, to be sent to managers and directors? Then we will all most certainly be on the same page, I will use that to set some trusted agents in action and to give an update of sorts to other members"
And with that the meeting ended and the managers of The Corporation returned to their work, their upcoming role in The Open Season decided upon.
