Many people have asked me to write my full bio so here goes. Hopefully some of you find it entertaining.
Brian and Shawn were born paternal twins. From birth the physical differences between the two were quite noticeable and almost to a point of concern. Brian was a large baby, almost 15lbs, and Shawn although much smaller was still quite healthy and of normal size. The maternity ward at Paragon Hospital quickly did some testing on both children and found Shawn to be in normal condition; however, this was not true for Brian. The nurses had just finished there testing on Shawn and turned their attention to Brian when they noticed something never medically recorded. SHAWN was standing! Not only was he abnormally large but also his strength, even at birth, was undeniable. It was believed, from a very early age, that Brian was the only gifted child.
For the first 6 months Brian received all the attention. He was constantly being tested and monitored to find the cause of his size. Meanwhile, Shawn developed normally or so everyone assumed.
Each night the two babies laid together in bed and every night the nurse would read a bedtime story. She noticed that Shawn would always look away during story time almost ignoring her efforts. She believed that Shawn was under developed mentally as well as physically. SHE WAS WRONG! During the monitoring of Brian scientists had noticed that he constantly laughed as Shawn was holding his storybook. One of the scientists went to their room to observe what was going on and to his amazement Shawn was not only holding the book but he was actually reading to his brother. More monitoring continued on both boys.
As they aged they noticed their differences but in no way was one envious of the other. Both appreciated their gifts and strove to maximize their potential. Brian continued his physical development and by the age of sixteen he was already 68 and 280lbs and still growing. Shawn would become the youngest graduate of the University of Paragon at the age of 15. The Government of Paragon took great interest in both boys and quickly enlisted Shawn into their advanced bioengineering facility while Brian would be placed in Covert Ops.
Their careers would separate the brothers for many years until just after their 26th birthday their reunion would become tragic.
Brian had been investigating Devouring Earth activity when he unearthed a plan to kidnap his brother. If the DE were not able to capture Shawn then death would be the only option. Apparently, his brother was researching something that angered the Hamidon and by all means Shawns experiments would be stopped. Brian had no time to think, he had no time to plan, his brother needed him and he would be there.
Shawn was employed by the portal corporation to research the findings from different portals. He had just been given a sample of alien flora that had strange properties. Each time a clipping would be taken from the plant a bio electric field would envelop around it, repairing and healing the plant, and actually making it stronger than before. The military felt that somehow if they could duplicate the process they would have some type of regenerative armor capable of withstanding the Hamidon. It would take Shawn six months to isolate the enzyme that produced the field. There, in a single vial, was his greatest accomplishment. This truly was the best day of his life. Shawn smiled, and then, he heard the alarms.
The earth shook and sirens cried. Outside of the facility it could only be described as apocalypse. A crater erupted from the ground and nearly 50 monstrous titans stormed the compound with thousands more Devouring Earth emerging. Portal Corporation was prepared for massive assaults but of this magnitude even their defenses could not hold. A battle of epic proportion would ensue, as Portal Corporations defense would be bolstered by the arrival of Statesman and other Paragon heroes. The tide was changing and after many hours of combat the battle was over. The injured were evacuated and the damage was assessed all the while no one could understand what provoked the attack. It was then; deep within the complex an explosion was heard.
Brian had just arrived at Portal Corporation when to his horror he could see the siege on the facility. It was a massive invasion with swarms of DE pouring from a crater. Engaged in the battle were many heroes under the leadership of Statesman and they were beginning to quell the attack. However, in Brians mind only one word bellowed out DIVERSION! He had used this bait and switch ploy many times and hoped that it wasnt too late to save his brother. With the speed and stealth that only years of training provided he would make his way to his brothers laboratory only to find a Greater Devourer and crystal warriors hovering over Shawn.
Shawn hearing the alarms sound, Attention! Devouring Earth is assaulting the complex. Evacuate immediately! deducted the worse case scenario that he would be the target. He had understood, from the beginning, that his research could not only combat the Hamidon but also aid it as well. Shawn shuddered at the outcome if the Hamidon could obtain the enzyme and its regenerative armor and knew, at all cost, that these secrets could not be surrendered. He quickly destroyed all his research and, with the vial in his hand, Shawn raced towards the escape route. Shards of metal and glass

Pain. What happened? , Shawn wondered. He had been thrown back 20 feet and was unable to lift himself up. Bleeding and groggy he looked up to see only crystals standing over him and in the distance Brian? . Shawn though he was hallucinating.
There in a war torn room stood Brian and on the other side his brother Shawn. It would have been a joyous reunion if not for the 15 crystal warriors between them. Brian had been through many suicide missions in his life but he knew that this would be his last. He quickly dispatched the first 2 crystals and was swarmed by the rest. Miraculously, even though severely injured, Brian was moving forward. Thats when the Greater Devourer unleashed some type of spore and immediately Brians body collapsed just five feet from his brother.
An hour ago this was Shawns greatest day and now he was looking at his brother lying motionless in front of him. Brian was dead. Why? Brian wondered as he looked down to the vial in his hand. Shawns research had caused this and he knew what had to be done. Though he was in great pain Shawn lunged forward and heaped himself on top of his brother. He ingested the vial and laughed in defiance. The last thing he would see would be the bottom of the foot of the Greater Devourer and all went black.
Statesman was famous for arriving just in the nick of time; unfortunately, he would be too late today. In mere moments he dispatched the remaining DE forces and stood there standing alone above both brothers. He knew both brothers well and this was a great loss to Paragon City. It was so peaceful and seemed as if their death was destined to be together. Suddenly, crackling energy surrounded the two brothers. Whats going on? Statesman asked as he took a step back. Apparently the enzyme within Shawn was repairing the damage and using the similar genetic makeup of the brothers to combine them. Brians body and shAWNs mind were being MERGED. A few moments later a hulking individual stood before Statesman and spoke.
We are BR-AWN. We can help. And thus began the legacy.
