  1. [The voices around him slowly faded out into a silence. Clenching his pistols Blindsight was fixed on the dripping water, almost as if he was counting the beats.]
  2. [Blindsight now zoned out focuses in on the dropping water, gripping the pistols tighter and tighter.]
  3. [Still clasping his gem Blindsight looks up at the soldiers face.]

"The year is 3054, You've been pulled from your time to aid our faction. Right now we're waiting on a few more arivals but once we have enough Mer'de over there will give us a briefing on what's going on."

[A pipe in the rafters above has now started to leak small drops of water directly infront of Blindsights feet. As he looks up to the rafters he slowly clutches the pistols holstered at his waist.]
  4. [Looking up with curiosity at his metal hands, Blindsight shoved the dagger into a crate beside him.]

"I'm affraid your beret was something I was unable to recover. Tell me though those hands, How many people have you killed with them?"

[Again cluthcing the Gem around his neck Blindsight continued to stare at the blood soaked Gaunlets of the soldier.]
  5. [Looking over his shoulder at war torn soldier, Blindsight replied.]

"Your Beret, Mr Thompson is the least of your worries. If I were you I'd be more concered about yur right eye."

[Blindsight once again walked to other side of the room and Crouched down on the floor. Again pulling out his dagger he began to drive it into the tip of his finger.]
  6. Hey dunno If Im too late but if theres any characters still going Im always Up for taking a role. LEt me know if theres anywhere you'll be meeting in the fututre and I'll try and get myself there.
  7. “With the increasing threat I thought it would be wise to gather what ever help we could get.”

[Pulling out two pistols from either side of his hips, Blindsight held them out at arms length as if he were about to shoot someone. Spinning them around his finger and placing them back into their holster he turned to face Mer’de.]

“This is a war. Truth, Justice and Honour means nothing now. Without these people our efforts will be wasted.”

[Clasping the gem that hung from his neck Blindsight stared up into the rafters of the warehouse.]

“If we are to make a move let it be soon. I have a bad feeling about this place.”
  8. [Covered in what looked like an executioner cowl, Blindsight sat in the darkest corner of the room, driving the edge of his dagger into the tip of his finger.]

“Marcus Cole,” he grumbled sheathing his dagger and pulling him self off the ground. “Was one of many I couldn’t get a lock on.”
He pushed his way past Igor and headed for a boarded window, muttering under his breath, “With any luck he’s somebody else’s problem.”
  9. ((I'll be playing Blindsight))

((Back in 1191 AD, when the Third Crusade was tearing the Holy Land apart. A group of Assassins were planning on suppressing both sides of the conflict to stop the hostilities. Mystics from both sides aproached the assassins offering them items of power in return for protection. Each of the Gems containted a unique power. For Xavier Orenia it gave him the ability to phase back in time for a short period. The mystics warned the assassins that the Gems had to be powered by souls, but in part, will prolong their life and make them near immortal. However, the mystics left out one crutual detail. Like every other Dark magic the Gems came at a price. For Xavier it was his sight. Legend has it that in a spiral of rage for his loss of sight, Xavier wiped out the mystics of Mere and became known as Blindsight. 1854 years later, Blindsight once again, fights to surpress hostilities and regain control over a lost land.))
  10. ((Hello everybody, my name’s Mike, I’ve been playing CoX for quite some time now and role-playing has always been the main appeal. Funny thing is; I have had the world of Secundum Terra formulating in my mind long before I learnt of CoX. Anyway, let’s get to it!))

“In the year 2006, the world as we knew it was filled with poverty, crime and desperation. In places like Paragon City, heroes did what heroes do – fight crime, enforce the law, uphold justice, and neutralize global or civil warfare, generally retaining peace and order.

“But there was one problem; by the year 3000, the super-powered population had grown to such a scale that the mundane conflicts between good and evil turned cities and towns into battlegrounds of super-powered warfare. No place was safe for the defenceless.

“The heroes made countless attempts to fix what they broke, rebuild what they fell, and mend what they ruin from the aftermaths of battles. But villains enjoyed the destruction and often fought just to measure who could cause the greater collateral damage and annoy the efforts of the reconstruction agents.

    “That is when it happened.

“At first, it appeared to be a repeat of the Rikti Invasion. Everywhere on the planet, gargantuan domes of artificial cities descended from the skies so fast, one would’ve thought they where there all along. Time stopped. Literally.

“True, it had been predicted. Several psychics warned of the event, but the one-world government brushed them off as the usual nonsense of the “tele-pathetic” as the media named. “The final millennium has arrived” “The apocalypse is upon us” They printed.

“Later, people in long white gowns appeared from elevators beneath the hovering cities, and as you can imagine, Christians raced forward convinced that this was The Rapture.

“As the heroes expected, the domes where designed for civilians and all super-powered beings were not only restricted, but repelled. Everyone felt a mix of emotions. Shock, disbelief, and fear of what they could not understand but also glee. Most of the world’s population moved into the domes without hesitation, some where rightly suspicious and protested.

“Heroes researched into the events and learnt a shocking truth. The cities had not appeared by themselves, the people in white gowns turned out to be androids, priests of some alien religion. Judging from the sequence of events, intergalactic studies identified the crisis as what had become commonly known as a Utopian Invasion.

“After five world wars, most of which had greatly involved super-powered villains, mankind became prey to The Four. Nobody knows what they are, or why they capture and enslave. All we know is that they are of godly power.

“Force fields impenetrable beyond galactic measures and yet invisible to the naked eye protected the hovering cities and kept out the super-powered.

“The following morning, silence filled the earth. Sunlight was obstructed by the new cities and day was reduced to sunrise. Heroes and villains alike, rejects of the new civilisation, the Society of the Cores, gathered together under a common cause. The battle between good and evil was set aside for a greater and mutual threat - The Four.

“That day, the white-gowned priests guarding the gazillion of entrance elevators to the sky cities, known as Cores, had been replaced with offensive machines, giant robots and androids known as the Humanoid Utopian Battalion (HUB’s), super soldiers with enhanced replicates of studied heroes and villain abilities.

“Fellow rebels, I thank you for attending this gathering. Alas, we must hurry now and introduce ourselves. This warehouse is cloaked and protected by force-fields but there are villains out there who care nothing for this planet and hunt us all, there are even civilians who have gone berserk, they attack the Cores and hate The Four, but they also hold the super-powered kind responsible for the invasion and this apocalyptic crisis. HUB’s however are obviously our number one threat.

“Ladies and gentlemen of our past, my apology for Blindsight’s abrupt kidnappings but it seems that is the way he works. If you wish to return to your time and remain deceased, feel free to commit suicide.

“I am known as Mer’de and I lead the rebel faction called Secundum Terra, Latin for ‘after earth’. It is the year 3054 AD (anno Domini) now known as 54 AE (after earth).

“You are currently positioned in Warehouse 17, Copper Lake, outside Core 27. Welcome to the future.”
