Breaks can be good, I find that I'm always drawn back to this game. It sure has saved me a lot of money too. I used to buy games software every month either Xbox or PC but have only bought CoV and another online game since February of last year .

Take a short break mate. I don't think we have any worries of you leaving the game forever, anytime soon. I know how much we all love it (despite the faults ).

I will probably be chipping away towards 38 with DK, so maybe soloing or joining a team that is inexperienced is on the cards . However if you guys want to team with the lower alts then I won't mind doing that either.

I'd like to do the Croatoa TF if possible sometime soon. I need that badge for the Geas of Kind accolade. Think I may need 1 or 2 of the defeat badges too but I already have the 3 GM badges and plaques. The +3 single origins will be useful too . It would be good if the SG was up for it.

Enjoyed the Hess task force the other Sunday morning. If we could get the Moonfire one done then that would be nice. If it's not exclusive to The Ascended, and Da Mystery Men are included, then Lord is always up to a challenge if he is available.

Finally I just wanted to say that I was a bit disappointed to miss out on the Positron badge even after you guys waited on the last mission so that I would possibly get it ( this was very much appreciated). I'll get it eventually I'm sure.

In a way I'm glad I didn't though because I always tend to feel that if I haven't done all the missions then I haven't really deserved it anyway which I suppose, in theory, makes sense, but that's just me I suppose. To be honest though, it's more about teaming with friends than the badge (unless it's an accolade to improve my powers - this does not include the Crey CBX-9 freeze gun though )

I feel the same. I have told her that if she is alone that if she wants to team, all she has to do is ask. If I can make it then it'll never be a problem. Then again maybe she doesn't want to because I suck lol.

Trouble is I never know if she doesn't want to be disturbed so I never ask her in case. That's my shyness rearing its ugly head again I suppose.

That reminds me of the first time I teamed with you guys as Mighticle when there was a Peacebringer on the team. I recall her accusing him of powerleveling because he did something wrong. I kept my head down I can tell you.

I'd say your lucky if she likes you because you sort of feel like you've earned a medal if she lets you into her circle of friends. (hope she doesn't read this, I might get kicked out of the circle. hehehe )

Well I have 3 toons still in the range. I'd like to do it. I know we occasionally like a spur of the moment TF but as it's a long one we might have to split it if we start in the week. I'd definitely like to give it a try. When it's mutually convenient for everyone of course.

I seem to be feeling exactly the same.Not sure what to log in as. I think I might try and get Earth to 12 and need to get DK through Croatoa where I left it a bit long and all mission foes are grey. Tough getting to lvl 35 when hittin 29s lol

Oh well I'll be on in some form or other maybe we'll do Frostfire again. They need a giant ice half pipe in Atlas, It's better than dancing under the statue - much more fun.

as I like clicking .I copied it from another thread, maybe incorrectly, and just substituted the /bind t and it seems to work apart from what I mentioned previous.

Glad to have had the opportunity to do some teaming as 'Red Earth' last night guys. From level 4 - 10 you really can't complain. May continue to try to get to 12 before the weekend so if there are any plans to do one of the low level taskforces I can pick and choose between Earth or Cleaver.

May need Sunday afternoon for DMM as my brother and sister-in-law are off Sunday (the only definite day they have off but that's catering professions for you). However CoV seems to be what most of the other guys are into at the moment , and as I am enjoying CoH better then I may still be available if anything is planned. Of course real life may have to come first for some of you (yes there is a real life I'm sure I saw it the other day hehehe)

Planning to play DK tonight and see if I can get the last 2 bars for 35 as well as seeing whether I can unlock the Croatoa TF which I started but left for a few levels so now I'm seeing lots of grey bad guys, shall have to see. The first mission in the TF is a great one to do even if just for the +3 enhancements.

Have also 'put the feelers' out to my 'other mates' in DMM about a coalition. I could not personally see a problem as to me it's a joining of two small SGs that have good seasoned friendly players and who I'm fortunate to be friends with on both sides. (SG advertising plug ends )

People may say 'why not just make a single SG ?' but as we're mostly long term players I suppose we could have a too many chiefs situation ("WHO BOUGHT THIS BASE ITEM WITHOUT MY PERMISSION !!!!" , "WHO SPENT ALL THE PRESTIGE" - Yes Da Mystery Men have had that situation lol ) so I think the coalition is the best of both worlds and is the next best thing to being a single unit.

It would be cool to have a mixture of the two SGs teaming on large missions. Get our 50s out it would be a blast so I'm really hoping we can get a coalition organised.

Point of note. I have set up a macro as opposed to a bind for the "Marras" channel and it works ok except I have to type the first character twice for it to appear that explains the 'i mate', instead of 'Hi mate' that should have been sent.

This is the end of the novel. Hope you get your internet connection sorted soon K and it's possible you will probably not be seeing this as you are not connected so why am I saying it I ask myself? Oh well I digress.

Yeah I would like that. I'm not in a rush to move him on, as I'm busy trying to get DK up to the level of the big guns in the SG, and you may not be in the mood to do it so soon after already doing it once this week.

I can hold Cleaver there for a bit and I'll wait for when you are ready so we can arrange it or at least set it in motion. Sounds like it might require more than a few hours to complete

Also I have Red Earth at level 5 an earth/kinetics controller which I believe will perform better than my mind controller which had only 2 holds and one was sleep which works ok but one hit and they wake up, and also confuse is a good power but needs about 3 applications before it holds a boss and takes about 10 seconds to apply.He may be better later on after having some of the other powers in the set, but for the previous attemp at Positron I wasn't impressed.

I may try to get Red Earth to level 10 so I can pick and choose too, and having a choice of archtypes is more useful. It shouldn't take long. Might be able to do that before weekend without it interfering with DK's leveling plans

Anyway see what you think. Probably not much to reply to in this post but it'll give you something to read

Trouble is with taskforces is that until you actually do it, you don't know what your going to be facing, in that respect I would say I was glad you bought him along.

Ok some of us had done it before but even so, it's never a given that it will run the same and in fact probably never does.

In hindsight we could have probably done it with Tech and maybe we may do it again sometime or we could do the same team but at a harder setting, I might even turn my armour off for you.

Suffice it to say I think we all enjoyed it and it certainly made me want to do more and the same.

Well Red Cleaver just dinged 12 which I can hold at that level for Positron.
(Only got training origins but hey he is a tank I'll survive ok )

Weekend is probably better but give a yell if you feel like doing it earlier and If I'm solo it won't be a problem. I prefer to team these days with good friends than be on my own to be honest.

(My new creation Red Earth is lvl.4 Earth/kinetics controller a more useful hold set early on than the Mind set of Red Rays so I can work on him a bit too if that's of more use).
Just to clarify my recent toons are all starting with Red it's from being a ginger nut rather than poaching 'Reds' name. Though I suppose I could tell K that the name is in honour of 'Red Lace' (hmmm I wonder if she'll fall, I mean, believe that one ?)

I think it could be 3 hours, for the Hess TF, as a max taking into account standard interruptions.

It took us 25 minutes approximately for each of the first 2 missions and the 4 single room missions will be about 5 minutes apiece.

I think it took us under 2 hours and a half but we did do it with 3 peacebringers, my warshade and a tanker so it was pretty fast work.

Just thought I'd post a quick breakdown for everyone of the Moonfire and Hess mission lists.

Probably not necessary as we've perhaps done them before between us ,and you may not view this before we do them.

Moonfire TF

Mission Breakdown

1) Defeat all Vampyri in cave
2) Defeat all Wolves in cave
3) Take flask to Stephanie Peebles
4) Defeat Archon Fontain & his men; Save 6 hostages.
5) Interrogate agents - Defeat 20 Council
6) Rescue Dr. Todd
7) Defeat all villains in base
8) Take schematics to Dr. Englas
9) Defeat Archon Salvatore & his men; Find list of names
10) Interrogate agents - Defeat 20 Council
11) Defeat Arakhn


Hess TF

Mission Breakdown

1) Defeat all villains; Find 2 schematics:
In this mission you will have two rooms filled with deactiveted robots. Once all team members have entered one of these rooms, a message will pop up on screen - "Trap Sprung." The exits will close, and all the robots will activate.

2) Save scientists; Destroy 6 generators

The next 4 missions are very short (1 room cave missions):
3) Eliminate first radar station and destroy computer
4) Eliminate second radar station and destroy computer
5) Eliminate third radar station and destroy computer
6) Eliminate last radar station and destroy computer
7) Find info on robot attack; Hack 2 computers

*The next two missions take place in the coolest part of the game - a hollowed out volcano.*

8) Defeat all villains in sector

This next mission entrance is the door on top of the volcano...(make sure to get the Vulcanologist Exploration badge while you're in the area).

9) Defeat Archon Burkholder

Whether we're just doing the one or if you lot are doing Moonfire at some other time when I'm not available, they both look fairly short compared to something like the Shadow Shards

Mission set to heroic for level 34 and me level 33 and was seeing so much red and purple .We did it tho eventually.

As one of my previous posts I'm off to see the wizard so not sure when I'll be on. But also being in two excellent SGs I may be with the other guys so they don't think I'm ignoring them (I might have been tho ).

So many good friends on here, sometimes I'm really torn

If I'm back and available then I'm there, if my level isn't a problem, I dont mind exemping or even bringing on Red Rays my little lvl 15 controller and sidekicking if thats a better option.

Not sure whether to post this as a suggestion coz I've not really thought it through or checked if its been suggested before but I thought I'd sound it off to you guys being as it normally affects you.

Blademan currently has 3 attacks with knockback (he used to have 4)
I've never enhanced knockback in any of my attacks and focus is a single target so probably isn't a problem and torrent in body mastery tends to throw em up in the air more rather than back so they tend to not be sent off too far.However shockwave my claws 32 attack as well as doing some reasonable aoe damage, does tend to throw em all over the place. It maybe my imagination and a not appropriate term but there always seems to be a thunderous silence after I use it (Hmmm thunderous silence = oxymoron , using knockback = you poxy moron)

I tend to try not using shockwave but the voices keep telling me to use it

What are your views on knockback powers having an additional option to activate or deactivate the knockback effect so you can decide whether your victims go flying or not dependent on the situation. (probably not useful for non damage dealing knockback powers?)

Anyways any thought or additions or suggestions ?

By the way thanks again P for helping me with my SO 35 mission and if shes not reading this Tech maybe you can pass my thanks to your missus.

Anyway, to go on as I tend to do, I remember playing my blaster Mighticle and teaming with Tech, Puma and Dutch, late 30s or early 40s but can't remember too well (It seems so long ago).

It was the first time I'd teamed with your toon Tech and Puma but think I may have teamed with Dutch before (again I'm not too sure).

I do recall Dutch faceplanted more times than my blaster.
Having said that I think autorun was involved somewhere.

Also I think I was being charged for the 'Puma Gold Health Plan' being as I was a blaster and needed more healing.

Then again P was probably after a healing badge and I was the best bet on getting it

Actually I think the Gold Health Plan was expensive at the time and cost about 3 slabs of chocolate. Don't think I've been billed for it yet shhhhhh.

Well I dinged 33 with DK last night so will be getting trained by Swan tonight. That should take half an hour
( 1 minute to train and 29 minutes of leering at her .Yep I'm a weirdo)

And also I've picked up the science contact which will/should open up my 35-40 SOs. Usually a tough one so anyone available will be welcome but as per usual I'll probably have to solo it. *sniff sniff* (hehehe that's my attempt at giving people a guilt trip)

Not sure whether I'm going to be playing Friday or not as I'm going to see my niece in her schools performance of Wizard of Oz which should be a pleasant diversion (she's a smashing singer and that's not me being biased..... then again )

It's maybe more a social thing where we are equals in maybe costume and origin with maybe a background story, and perhaps arrange days to do something when we're all on perhaps. Also maybe to do a few missions and level at same time or there abouts. And not to make it about getting to 50 but leave that to our other toons. I don't know though I just like the thought of a time we can all team together even tho some prefer to solo.

But if you want maybe you can do the outfits for us all K but I don't do dresses or lacy underwear. As I said before I really don't mind what we all decide to wear but this is what the forum is about, sharing opinions (amongst other things). If we don't agree then we probably won't do.

I'm prepared to go with what you guys go for. I have absolutely no taste whatsoever and therefore am happy with whatever.

I do tend to have, for the majority of my toons, a redhead trademark. This is my real life colour (the vikings did it ) as some of you may know albeit with bits of grey and thinning areas .

As to the earlier suggestion of afros. I hope this isn't what we all have to have because it may mean I have to go into town and have my hair permed which will also mean I will be banished from the U.K. without bread and water .

You need to do the Lars Hansen missions I believe. Tech (the Oracle) will probably confirm this
DK can be there on Sunday at 10am if being over lvl 30 isn't a problem for you guys.
