I've not done a respec with you guys and I think I'd like to give it a go. However I tend to do it at lvl 30 when possible as it has a better result with extra powers and I normally have stamina well slotted at that stage too.

Can be a bit tough if we're not at the same level (normally because I'm the low one ).

Would like to do it with DK as he hasn't got a respec on his resume yet and I'm not so bothered about xp when doing respecs so if that's not a problem it'll be great. When your all ready for it then count me in.

Unfortunately that old friend 'real life' does get in the way. People like me who don't have a real life, I lost it somewhere , seem to get the better end of the deal on that one.

Don't think I'm far off lvl24 with Red Earth so may try and get that tonight but if anyone is on and wants to do anything different requiring another team mate, then I'm available.

This weekend was fun, taskforce success, taskforce failure, new global friend and excellent conversation and probably lots of other things I've lost in the blur. I think I'm definitely in profit though.

That was really enjoyable and I'm glad we did it finally.

That first wall can so easily make you feel like giving up but this showed how well good team mates and friends can eventually get things done. As we have done in the past.

Well I don't think I want to go near Eden for a while but hopefully we can do something as enjoyable soon.

I'm not sure I can really comply with this request today, I am seriously 'cream crackered'. Going to bed 'in the morning' is not my normal routine and I don't know how you guys do it, particularly you Dutch with your being one hour ahead of me.

I have to say that it really was great fun. For saying I had a bit of difficulty making sure everyone was buffed and trying to make sure everyone was close enough to heal, I don't think it was the worse performance by a controller, though the jury is still out on that one.

I could probably do with a few more useful binds if there are any. I'll have to search the boards to see if there's anything that would come in handy. Something on the lines of a team member specific buff, using the number pad, if there is one.

Yes I enjoyed the TF too. It was a bit hectic at times with a few team splits, where I had to zoom back and forth a bit to try and keep the team healthy, but it all helped with the learning process ( I can understand why buffers can get a bit miffed when teams aren't close together, but we did have a few regens on the team so they might have been covered anyway ).

Time limitations were of course a factor but I think we managed to do it as quick as we could with meal times and everything and other real life commitments ( curried eggs anyone ? ).

I suppose the important thing is that we succeeded and had a great time.

I personally love this power in the set. I just have it single slotted for damage but it's really for the knockdown. They can't hit you when they are flat on their backs (shame I keep forgetting to use it ).

Well although we didn't achieve the ultimate goal (Soooo close guys). I reckon if we had a few more greens and a couple more ambrosias then it would have been in the bag. If your Puma wasn't busy, Tech, then there would have been no doubt and it would have been over even quicker. But we really couldn't fault our determination, we never gave up (136k debt doesn't lie ). Mister J, I think earned himself an honorary membership to the Ascended I think and our thanks for his effort (hats off to you matey).

I'm not sure what to do with DK at the moment now being half way to 42. We need that 39-41 to start the TF so I will perhaps concentrate on my alts till we're ready to go for it again, in case. I can sort out the debt later by exemping with some of you guys.

Early days yet but I quite like the look of the Illusion set with 'Red Vision' so might play him for a bit.

I may not be able to join you on the Psynapse? TF if you run it on Sunday afternoon as I think I might be joining Flash and Scorp on something. Sunday is a good day, all told, but unfortunately it's their only normal day off.

Hello Guys

Not too certain what I have planned tonight. My brother and sister in law play this game as some of you are aware. They both work in hotel/catering and normally have Sunday off, but being as it was Mothering Sunday yesterday, they were both working. I think they may be off tonight so might be doing something with them. (Some non sub online game which isn't half as good as CoH possibly).

If not I may try and get Red Earth to 16 and on that note I noticed a lot of lvl 16s in the SG possibly a regular teaming session with them ?

Otherwise it will be DK as per normal, at lvl41 now so getting there slowly but surely.

I may also play my new creation, of a familiar theme, 'Red Vision' - Level 3 Ill/Rad controller (hands up who hates 'Torrent' hahahaha). A possible replacement controller for 'Red Rays' (I'll hold on to Rays for a bit but I don't think he suits my play style and may eventually vanish into the ether).

Anyway moving on, I hope you and your bro are feeling better D after your emotional rollercoaster of yesterday. Nothing like this game to get your mind off the sad things.

Sad that your unhappy, and your perhaps doing what is best for you (which you should). If your after a team or want to team up and I'm not mixed up in other things then ALWAYS give a shout, I will exemplar/sidekick one of my characters. I have said a lot lately that for me it's more about teaming with mates and having fun, than anything else, which is what games are all about .....FUN.
I still want DK at 50 though.

Small SGs can suffer with regards to no one at correct levels and it's a shame we all didn't have characters like pen and paper RPGs where we make an arrangement and play these characters only on that day so we never get too far away from each other. I suppose it is possible but maybe it is too difficult to do this. It would probably solve teaming problems but there are probably fewer pros than cons on that idea. Maybe it has already been done and hasn't worked in the past ?

All I can say is that I am still playing and would love to be doing so for a long time and that my online friends were doing likewise. Of course real life takes control but maybe the friends I've made in game won't be restricted to just the game, and last longer. I go off on a tangent as per usual.

Anyway what I said in my first paragraph about giving a shout, please do it and this apples to all marras, I'm very approachable (I think).

Well it certainly took longer than 5 minutes to take down Kronos last night but I have to say that you really felt like you had achieved something when he eventually tumbled.

It was good that there were 4 of us although I was in the guise of Blademan rather than DK but I still felt like an Ascended even though my toon wasn't. Also it's a shame the GM decided to spawn when there were a few of the Ascended absent with their own real life commitments but that's probably happened many times.

Did log in as DK later but then got an invite to join another online friends SG night with Blademan. Don't know about you guys but I still love playing my 50 even though he's nearly 14 months old.

Will be back with DK tonight with luck and hopefully getting into a team so I can get rid of that Envoy of Shadows (gradually becoming the bane of my life that one ), and I have my Tina Macintyre first mission which looks like the Clockwork king. No solo missions for me I think . Although they may be elite-bosses now but having said that, the Envoy of Shadows was and he's stomped on me a few times, and on that note, just wanted to say that the bases medical facility is very comfortable hehehe.

I personally benefit from TFs in a different way. I'd rather log in as Blademan and exemplar down getting only prestige and influence which is good but I enjoy the teaming with friends that I have a laugh with and are fun, perhaps I'm turning in to an old woman and I enjoy the bantering and getting a glimpse of real lives these days.

This doesn't mean to say that I don't enjoy getting xp for characters and heading towards the next level, hopefully it has a power.
I think it would be difficult to be involved in many TFs with that character before they outlevel the next TF, particularly if played often, so they must exemplar to still be involved.

If I had a wish, it would be that eight friends create a character, with one of each of the 5 standard origins and allow the remaining 3 to be any of these 5 origins.

They would be used exclusively to team together and do missions or taskforces and hypothetically levelling at roughly the same time. If real life meant someone could not continue, then everyone would just log out and bring on one of their regular toons and play as they would any other time.

Shortage of slots would probably mean another server and it could be a separate SG consisting of just the 8. It would probably take 10-20 years to get to level 50 but these characters would be solely for the fun of playing as a group of friends, and nothing more.

I suppose it would be like those people who have created a character solely for PvP, and this idea is probably not original but hey we can all dream and I am a bit of a daydreamer (lots of ideas always going through my head but never coming to fruition) .

Anyway that's my Monday waffle done ( thank goodness you cry ).

Well as per usual (because I tend not to have a life outside this game these days ) I shall be probably working on DK trying to get him to 40 before Monday.

I know Red was/is wanting to do the Katie Hannon Croatoa TF which I would like to do also, so maybe that might be something we could all get our teeth into. I could use those +3 origins as not sure my 800k influence will sort out my enhancements to optimum ability.

On the subject of PvP, I was wondering whether you guys prefer it to PvE. I personally, as you are probably aware, don't really enjoy it. This is mainly because of a guilt/frustration complex where I feel guilty if I beat someone and frustrated with myself if I get beaten. I think a lot of it comes down to luck, but you still end up having some twelve year old jumping up and down on your corpse as if it really meant something. In the expression of Tech - Shrug.

Having said that if as a SG something was planned, then loyalty would overcome dislike and I'd give it a go - just don't expect me to be any good lol.

K, I want to do that Katie Hannon Taskforce big time ( I want the 'Geas of Kind' accolade), so as long as it's not too late a start I'm there whenever.
