That Epic Unlocked message is a leftover bit of code from the Heroes side of the fence
The devs implied once that unlocking the Epic Villain AT might be more then just hitting 50, so who knows?

The code being leftover I was aware of. That we would have to do more than heros to earn more content, that really doesnt suprise me much. I hope that I am not sounding like one of the whiners you see on the boards. I think that the things they are adding to the game really appeal to alot of the players. Having said that, lets weigh some of this out. Change what your sword looks like or Cathedral of Pain fixed? New Costume Pieces or Base Bugs fixed? I wont comment on the powersets, cause none of us really have any idea what they are like do we? Maybe just maybe, the fact that some of the powersets have been made a bit unbalanced by the invention system. (I know this is a pvp point that some will not care about, but it is true).
Once again, I am not downing the new Issue. Thrilled to have something coming out. But could we have an issue that delivers on past promises, instead of a new pair of wings and pretty colors. -
Here is an idea. If the devs wont give us Villain Epics. Let us roll a Hero epic once we hit 50 with a Villain. God knows we are starved for content on the villain side. Give us something!!

Its amazing how you put together all these cool features but still have not worked on past feature issues. By i3 you had Epics for heroes and since i6, almost 2 years ago, villains STILL do not have epics. Heroes can change epic powers via respec; villians are STILL stuck with the 1st patron they picked. Heroes have been giving numerous maps to explore; other than Grandville (RWZ and the Abyss/Monster island are just copies from heroes) villians STILL have not recieved new maps. And then you allow villians to team up in RWZ, but the issuse of giving teammates from opposite factions inspiration is STILL not fixed. Well i would like to clap my hands and say good job on all the new features and concept that you guys have come up with, and do not worry about villians side because we all know it was just something you guys threw together just so there is an illusion of balance.

I too would love to see the EPIC Villain AT's and the Cathedral.....however.....
it is entirely possible that they may have a surprise in ish 11 in that all this time traveling might very well unlock the Epic Villains or may somehow incorporate the Cathedral.
It could well be that a time travel mission is in place or will be added for ish 12 where upon completion you unlock the Epic Villains.
All speculation of course.
Oh and please fix the robo surgeons in our bases

I believe Battle Axe and War Mace would be interesting candidates for power sets to be ported over to the Brute AT for a wider audience to enjoy this new feature.

So Brutes are happy to give Tankers their cool toys, if they get a Scrappers cool toy? Sounds a bit unfair. :P
However that said, I've never seen why Brutes couldn't get /Regen. If they think it's to powerful in the hand of an AT with more HP...then adjust the percentage rate of heal to make it match scrappers at current rate. Seems fair to me.

Holy Cow, a reasonable response. Would love to see the powers shared equally. The previous response just said tanks because it was in response to a tank. I live on the villain side, but definately think the hero melee toons should get the same power options. It is the one and only thing that heros can actually say that villains have had it better. -

Well, I have been watching the boards and reading all the negative comments about the new power sets. (with the advent of the invention system, regen still needs a serious nerf) I think alot of people on the boards owe an apology to the devs. It seems I11 may included alot more than we anticipated, and I for one am pretty excited about this new issue.
