    Yeah, Kick won't be getting used at all. I just needed a mule power to get Kinetic Combat's S/L defense until I get 3% Def from Gladiator's Armor, at which point a good handful of slots will be reclaimed for better purposes. I can chain attacks well with my 4 single-targets, and Body Blow, well, *blows*, so I stole those slots and threw them into Kick seeing as how it's a mandatory buy. Since you brought up a good point I'll probably take boxing instead in the event I run low-level stuff pre-Glad's.

    As far as Repulsing Torrent, I won't argue that it's a *good* buy by any means. It works well enough in teams with root happy Doms or Controllers though, and has a bit of utility in the (very little) soloing I do or as an O.S. mitigation button. It's certainly situational at best though, and I've considered slotting it with Taunt/KB sets for certain bonuses.

    Ahhh damn, I was operating on old info that had the cap still placed at 3212 instead of the 3500'ish that it's at now. Blaming google for that one.

    Hey all, thanks for all of the critique and general tanking discussion. I read each post carefully.

    So, after taking your suggestions into account and a little bit of tweaking I've come up with the build that will usher me into my first level 50 tank (which will happen tonight!). It's worth noting that I'm operating on an influence stash that never seems to get much higher than 120'ish million, and my picks reflect that. Restrictions included:

    -No PvP or Purple IOs
    -Flight was a must
    -No Hasten
    -I really like Repulsing Torrent :3

    Unfortunately had to mule IOs into Kick to get S/L up there, but with this El Cheapo build I have S/L/E/N soft-capped, 750% regen, 4.53/s recovery (1.46/s drain), and 3211 HP (hoping that 1 HP doesn't come back to haunt me ).

    I'll be able to reclaim slots and pump more into resists/regen down the road once I'm able to get my hands on some of the good stuff, but this has been working out pretty well for me thus far. Thanks again!

    Heya tanks, I'm an old player who returned last week after 6.5 years, so bare with me. :3 I've taken my first dive into tanks and found that I really enjoy WP. So, I recently hit 35 and am working on figuring out IO sets and such, and I took my first stab at it below.

    Character has power restrictions due to concept, but I was shooting for 70% S/L resist, +3200 HP, +700% Regen, 40% S/L Def, 45% E/NE Def, and lots of End recovery. Also looking for sets that were fairly cheap as I'm once again a newbie.

    So the big questions. Do you folks see any major weaknesses in this as a beginning build? Also, any major waste of IO slots? Thanks for any input.
