I went to 9x12 and it's bliss. The thought of going smaller again is nauseating. It may or may not be an issue for different artists, but bigger definately equates to more control and less interpolation of your line as it's translated from the drawing surface to the monitor. It's also useful when you have a lot of palettes open on the screen.

I redid the layout for the Oni commission. I think this one is turning out better:

Anyways, to the people waiting on commission I appologize for things moving so slowly. Been really buried lately.

There will be a mixed hero/villain team arena night at 10pm est. this Thursday (3/29).

Mmmmmm.....yes. The one I talked to you about the other day? Remember? This was just practice for me drawing their faces. The commission piece will be a full body action piece that doesn't really have anything to do with this one thematically.

Thanks for the comments guys. I changed the browline a bit, lengthened the shape of the eyes, and added a hint of a pupil. But basically that is the character. A demon with a cowl covering the lower part of the face.

Let me reiterate that this isn't the piece I was disatisfied with. The one I was working on for the commission is
this one.
I drew this head study just to practice a slightly different linework approach with this figure. It's not a real serious piece or anything. I should've just posted it and left that comment out.

Sorry, there's a wip in my scraps section that i had posted a few days ago. This one isn't what I was referring to, just a sketch while I mull the other layout over.

That one really pops. Interesting use of perspective in the background. Should look great in color.
