PapaSlade had a good idea about spawning GMs, especially redside. That might be a fun auction, particularly redside when a lot of the GMs spawn depending on kills in the zone.

As I said, most auctions will also have a raffle attached. There'll be one winner from the auction and one (or more) from buying a raffle ticket for 100k or so.

Well, the word needs to be spread. This is the first time an event like this has been run on Triumph to my knowledge. Hopefully, once July hits everyone involved can chat it up in-game for people who don't come to the forums.

I think you should have something other than an auction for this one. Perhaps people can sponsor other players' bids. The idea that the person who pays the biggest huge pile of money is going to want to learn how to make large piles of money is kind of silly to me. Seems like that person would already know.

Rhynwa has suggested for classes we do AT specific types. I'm thinking classes could be hosted on Sunday the 12th. Anyone feel knowledgeable enough about an AT that you could host a class?

I'm still looking for anyone who can do a Master run (either side) who can field a team and bring a bidder.

Did anyone want to offer being an accolade master? (helping someone get a specific accolade either side) Or a badge tour guide (maybe escorting someone around for history badges)?

Magenta: Specifically, which TF(s) are you offering up? Are you offering up a spot on an SG run? or are you offering to be a guide for a PUG?

Shard: did you want to do the class? or volunteer hours to run with a winning bidder. I'd like a bit of a theme if you can think of one so the bidder will know what you're offering.

Vego: I also need some sort of theme for you. Are you mentoring something specific?

As you've seen, we are having ourselves a little "Welcome to COH" event here on Triumph and a few of us are trying to organize it. My part is to organize an auction/raffle and game section-specific classes.

This auction will be held on Saturday July 11th. The auction will start at 5pm pacific/8pm eastern. Each veteran volunteer who is included and auctioned off will get 10% of their final bid. The rest of the money will be put into a raffle and tickets sold to win a chance at it. After being won, it will be up to the bidee and the bidder to schedule the experience.

What kind of volunteers am I looking for? Experts or special experience type offers. Examples:

buy a spot on a Master team (though we can't/won't guarantee a master badge)
buy a spot on an organized PvP team in RV for an evening and pwn the zone
win a mentoring session with a top marketeer for tips and tricks
win a two hour session with a top player to run (insert TF, arc, accolade hunt, etc)
win a mentoring/training session with a great PvPer to answer your questions and help you up your game

Stuff like that! Obviously, the above are just suggestions and I am open to hearing any other ideas people have. And if you want to be involved and not be auctioned off, you are welcome to donate things for the raffle (examples: recipes, complete IO sets, influence, infamy, salvage, etc).

For the classes, they'll be much more beginner friendly. We'll need teachers and subjects. Examples of subjects:

Easy ways to make extra influence
PvP
Best ways to slot
General game questions
General build questions
Badge questions

The classes, insofar as I know, do not have a time slot yet. So that'll probably be determined by the teacher I'm assuming.

So what do you think? I hope there's a lot of you who want to get involved!

Uh oh, who was reported? Sorry to hear it. I try to mind my own business but there are a lot of nosy busy-bodies who think there is nothing nobler than reporting a toon they feel is in violation of the eula.
