    IDENTITY OF JACKSON TURNER
No, no...I'm definitely not Jackson Turner.

    VS. STATESMAN
As for dressing in spandex and taking on Statesman, well, Jack is a bigger man than me (course if I could wield a copy of the A Game of Thrones Deluxe Limited Edition, I might have a worthy weapon).

But heroes don't fight each other ... except by mistake ... or through cross-overs ... or tusslin' like brothers ... well, I guess they do fight each other a lot. Never mind that.

    AVATAR
As for my Avatar, there have been some good suggestions, but it would be cool to see a few more ideas ... just to make sure I pick the right one.

    cheers,

So were you the person in charge of Silver Age Sentinels that oopsed on character sheets?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I confess I'm not even sure what you mean.

It was just a very, very poor character sheet that was very hard to use to make characters.

    [/ QUOTE ]

No, that wasn't me ... that was the Layout Guys, who normally did an incredible job. But, well, character sheets are like the red-headed stepchild of the book. What can I say?

I was responsible for the words, and had some influence on the art notes - but the final look was ultimately the responsiblity of the Art Director.

Wow. GRRM's masterwork is probably the best fantasy I have ever read. The plots, the characters, the tension, and the merciless realism... truly amazing. That must have been awfully tough to PnP-ify; I'd have been terrified to mess it up.

And it has a fan base roughly equal to this one in intensity ... good training for this gig.

    cheers,

Ok.. here's a hard question.. how many 4 sided have you steped on in your life?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Or for that matter, had slipped into your chair?

    >>Cues Ozzy's Crazy Train<<

It's gonna be a wild ride from here on out...

Stepped on? Too many to count (as well as Spider-man action figures, white Isz, and those little shields that the Secret Wars action figures came with).

Slipped into my chair? None so far...but now I'm paranoid about my colleagues.

    cheers,

Hooray for unoriginal Arctic Sun Avatars!

I wanted to be the first to do it.

    That's pretty cool...

    Hi all,

What a fantastic reception! I’m thrilled to be here, and will do my best to bring the world of Paragon City to you. There’s no way I can replace Gilgamesh, but my goal is to provide you with new insights to the CoH setting, and thematically echo Gil’s work.

As for my background, I worked as a Creative Director for Guardians of Order, a pen & paper RPG publisher for a handful of years. I was Line Developer on the Silver Age Sentinels RPG, where I was the primary author of the world setting, and an assistant editor on two short story anthologies (with Jim Lowder, the editor behind the upcoming CoH novels).

Over the past 2+ years, I developed The Authority RPG (adapting the DC/WildStorm Comic), a cyberpunk RPG (spanning the classic genre work to post-modern material, called Ex Machina), and the A Game of Thrones RPG (based on George R.R. Martin’s fantasy epic).

I’ve freelanced for White Wolf (on the game lines Orpheus and Vampire: The Requiem) and for Eden Studios (on the upcoming CoH RPG). I continue to write games, play games, and perhaps most importantly, enjoy games.

I’m terribly excited to be working here, and I’ll certainly be asking all of you for help and suggestions in the days to come. Unfortunately, as I’m not a villain, I can’t say, “I like it rough” – I’ll leave that for Awry. But I will strive to keep my stoic guard up, be thick-skinned to the nitpickers, and helpful to the needy.

    cheers,
