I've been getting requests from people on BMT and Champion United channels for a re-running of the first Shard TF - Dr. Quaterfield - as soon as it is convenient. Considering Dr. Q is the longest of the TFs in length of time and missions to run, this is trickier to form a team especially during the weekday (as the weekends are going to be busy with the scheduled Shardtober TFs of Augustine and Faathim next). Nonetheless, it falls upon me to call out to all Champion TF experts and curiosity-seekers... anyone interested in helping out those who need the Dr. Q accomplishment badge?

SUNDAY OCTOBER 17th
Justin Augustine Task Force - The Chantry
Start time: 4 PM Eastern (3 PM Central, 2 PM Mountain, 1 PM Pacific)
You can start at other times earlier or later than 4 PM if needed. The time can change if enough players ask for a later (or earlier) start time. But make sure everyone knows about it!
Given the relative brevity of this TF - 2 hours average nowadays - people can run this multiple times! Bwhahahahahaha! >:-)

If there gets to be more than 8 players, see about starting a second team (or third as needed) to co-run the Task Force at the same time (or as time is agreed to by other players)
I can switch to any other character (Wittypirate 50 Defender is currently Day Jobing in FBZ for that badge) if needed. -

Justin Augustine Task Force - The Chantry
Start time: 2 PM Eastern (1 PM Central, NOON Mountain, 11 AM Pacific)
You can start at other times later than 2 PM if needed. The time can change if enough players ask for a later (or earlier) start time. But make sure everyone knows about it!

If there gets to be more than 8 players, see about starting a second team (or third as needed) to co-run the Task Force at the same time (or as time is agreed to by other players) -
The Place:
The Chantry. Accessible through Firebase Zulu (FBZ), which is accessible through the Portal Corp. on Peregrine Island. The contact Justin Augustine will be right next to the large wormhole and the smaller direct warp portal that enters the zone.
The Time:
Saturday October 16th and Sunday October 17th. Justin Augustine is an incredibly fast task force (depending on the travel powers and use of Ouro portals), so a late afternoon start time is viable. I suggest start times between 2 pm EST to 4 pm EST. (NOTE: I will be looking to host the Sunday TF run at 4 pm EST)
The Teams:
Level requirements are 44 to 50. Full teams are needed to start: you need 8 players ready and in the zone to begin. It'd help for a Level 50 to be leader to ensure adequate SK'ing.
The Shard realms are unique in that they consist of "floating islands" or bastions. They require Flight or Teleport for easy access. There are systems of jump geysers connecting the bastions, but you need a map figured out. To aid players, the Paragon military provide Jet Pack vendors in most of the shard realms: they're slow but they help. A jet pack vendor should be near a Rularuu Wisp vendor a few yards away from Justin.
The task force will confront large mobs of villains (Rularuu and Circle of Thorns for the most part). There is a lengthy "delivery" series of missions back in FBZ where Dr. Boyd sends you off to investigate monuments, so fliers/teleporters would work great on that series. Most of the missions are open field battles on the various Chantry bastions... and each open hunt involves a heavy Rularuu ambush, so have Tankers/Scrappers/Brutes/Stalkers/Khelds/Soldiers take the lead to each bastion.
Balanced teams - Aggro handlers, Damage dealers, and Buffer/Debuffers - are always your best chance of success.
The Mission:
Justin Augustine is worried about Faathim the Kind: Faathim is distressingly lonely and no one ever shows up for his kegger parties. So it's up to your team to comfort Faathim and pass the word about the keggers. Wait, what's this about the Circle of Thorns wanting to crash the party...?
The Difference:
This year, things have changed. Many a Villain has Gone Rogue. Many a Villain has sought redemption upon the streets of Paragon City. As such, there may be a sizable contingent of reformer Villains who seek to run these Shardtober tasks. Let them join. Let them face the threat of the Shadows...
The Sign-ups:
Two thread pages will be added below: One thread for Saturday Oct. 16th for sign-up and the other for Sunday Oct. 17th.
I might actually have this coming Saturday off, but I'm in the habit of scheduling for the Sundays, so I will aim to stick to that. I *may* pop in for Saturday in case more people are needed for extra teams.
Many thanks to those who do sign up, and best of luck to you all this weekend! -

I think PHIRE is addicted to Sara Moore TFs.
We're gonna need to fix that... WITH SOME JUSTIN AUGUSTINE TF'ing!!! -
I wanna thank the team that ran with me this afternoon. Thank you for your patience and thank you for sticking through the whole TF run. We finished against Rudalak in 2:10 time, which IMHO is one the better times I've run the Sara Moore.
Many thanks to @Stone Jaguar, @Raymaiha, @Symar, @RespendentMs, @Slackers Twin, and one of the PHIREs (PHIRE's second computer went Rogue, attacked China with a monster hack, we are probably at war in the next 15 minutes), with additional thanks to @ReDorothy for filling the eighth spot. -
Quote:Excellent report, Felecia. Um, except the God's name is Rudalak.I would add: everyone on the team had highlight moments:
Jus Blaze took off one way and rounded up bad guys with Rodin acting as a blaster and Ithacles as damage dealer. Rodin spammed bubbles on all of us when he could but mainly became a damage dealer himself.
Eternal Fusion and Super Spider Soldier did a lot of the great stealthing. Ithacles did well too at the end. Eternal Fusion, Super Spider Soldier, Cyborg Ninja, and Cloudy Skies (acting as a blaster, and i thought i saw him using icestorm?) went together and tore through bad guys like a tornado through a stand of trees. This was a very offensive group!
In the end, in the caves, we had a problem for a few moments. Some of us went down against Roladuk before the rest of the team could get there. It was Ithacles who had the final moment of glory! He Team Tp'd us near Roladuk but just out of range so we could heal, rez, and power up. Jus Blaze 2 led the charge and aggro'd the room. With Storm and Dark powers for debuff and a tremendous amount of damage dealing from the rest of the team, we cleared the room in less than 2 minutes.
This is the story of the BMT/CU Hero Team : Thanks for listening to our story
Unless you intended to call him Roll-A-Duck. >
I wanna thank your team for forming up on such short notice for you all to enjoy the fun that is Shardtober! -

The Place:
The Cascades Archipeligo. Accessible through Firebase Zulu (FBZ), which is accessible through the Portal Corp. on Peregrine Island. The contact Sara Moore is located within the Mole Point - the secret rebel base - of the Cascades.
NOTE: Mole Point has a shortcut in FBZ other than the direct warp portal. You can open the shortcut by either running the Dr. Boyd contact missions (you get Boyd by running Gen. Hammond's geyser mission arc) or else sneaking into the Mole Point entrance in Cascades and contacting the Guy In the Lab Coat near the portal. Either way, it will involve you traveling into the Cascades and into the secret base. It does help to unlock that shortcut.
The Time:
Saturday October 9th and Sunday October 10th. Sara Moore is an infinitely faster task force than Dr. Q's, so a later start time is viable. I suggest start times between 2 pm EST to 4 pm EST. (NOTE: I will be looking to host the Sunday TF run at 4 pm EST)
The Teams:
Level requirements are 40 to 50. Full teams are needed to start: you need 8 players ready and in the zone to begin. It'd help for a Level 50 to be leader to ensure adequate SK'ing.

The task force will confront large mobs of villains (Rularuu and Nemesis for the most part). Above all will be the final battle against a powerful AV. You ought to have a Tanker for certain, and definitely a Debuffer. Balanced teams - Aggro handlers, Damage dealers, and Buffer/Debuffers - are always your best chance of success.
The Mission:
Sara Moore is getting distressing news that someone wants to wake up an angry vengeful being of unstoppable power (no, not Russell Crowe). So it's up to your team to scout through the Cascades (and various city zones) to uncover the mystery, stop the awakening, and if unsuccessful... go into the shadowy heart of the Cascades and confront the God of that zone itself...

Many thanks to those who do sign up, and best of luck to you all this weekend! -
Whewwww....
thanks aplenty to Battling Beastman, ReDorothy, Magenta Phoenix, both PHIREs (Delicate and Delikate), and Stormfront for joining me on the Dr. Q TF this morning/afternoon. All apologies for the length (5 hrs and tons of deaths) but we did survive and I hope ye all had fun.
Oh, and who played the Fire Tanker? lost track of him... -
NP thank ye for running the tf! next week gets better I promise...

I'm glad you're getting your own Shardtober running! Good luck with it and remember to save the rum! And I want to thank you, Cupcake! You're hosting it too! I'm just reminding people about the Shard TFs

My real-life plans for the weekend have been shot. If anyone lives in the DC area, can you please go to the March for Jobs this Saturday and tape a sign to Lincoln's forehead that reads "Witty Wuz Here!" Please and thanks.
