  3. Lol Ant. Was there when the PB in question was talking smackola. Logged the stalker and showed him that the safezone isnt so safe. (AS'ed him in one shot in the water) Guy didnt learn, was up on boat talking smack (PS and Hide- AS'ed in one shot on the boat) Rinse and repeat he choose to stand really close to a drone. Well I took one for the team. PS, Hide, ASed in one shot before the drone wiped me from existence.

  5. Had some fun in Sirens tonight with the blapper, Alien Ascesion. Many a villain used to chill my drink tonight.

    Love those IR goggles and the temp powers. Ran into to Quason a couple of times before he logged. Like that the villian zone isnt much of a safe zone. Can reach the open area villians ( only the ones that are my bounty that hide in the safe zone) with my ranged attacks without tussling with the arbiter drones. (to a point)

    Fun stuff. Miss my higher level powers. But like the "rewards" of bounty. Not that I need the SO's or the influ, but at least its a not a kick in the sack.

    Hope they make the SHW open zone PvP and Hero vs Villian zones in the update worthwhile. See how the batles go with a full aresenal available.

  8. Did not mean to imply you were a coward Q. Having Overload allows Stalkers to stand toe to toe with scrappers, tanks, etc. Trollers with a few BF's on board. Having used it in Warburg to great sucess so far, I have become accustomed to using the BU+AS then placate TF, and then ET. Overload allows me to hang around if the tank or scrappers toggle up DP or FH. Can finish them off for the most part. Unstop is a [censored] though. Hope they toggled it up before I did Overload so it runs out first. (happened in a fight with Jett)
  9. Popped into Sirens the other day for some of this "UFC" PvP stuff. Wasnt to bad. Mes called out my stalker and ....... ! Stealth attacked him a couple times to remind him that I was a villian, after our match. Fought a couple of tanks, Chromato and Maxximus. They did well. Faced a fire/ice tank but keep getting mezzed by some dipshit controllers left over fear thingy so it was called. The tank did whine about my running around and not sitting in his ice/burn patch, hmmm (didnt actaully say that, but his comment of "Stop running around and fight" leads me to believe that was the gist).

    Learned something very nice about EA. It allows me to siddle up real close to a stormy. The only prob is hitting, I am sure once I can get 6 slots in BU ( 3 times and 3 tohits) I will be able to AS the storms. Also loved hearing the TP prompts and it doing nothing.

    Went to Warburg for some action. Quason was there and he did well except for the continous running back to the safe zone after his AS failed to kill in one shot (at least that was from what I saw, I am sure he had a perfectly tactical reason for retreat). I like Warburg cause I can use my Overload to overcome most. Have some trouble with SR's and Stoners. Zone into St. Martial when it wears off and zone back into Warburg and it comes back instantly. Woot.
  10. Ahh the "safe zone". Love loading up the Stalker and roving around the boat. Unsuspecting heroes dash back to the safety of the boat, only to get shot down in blazing glory. Alas, only works for a little then people dont even come off the boat, but hella fun catching those unawares.

    I have to say I find more enjoyment in Warburg with the bigger teams and the beach domination battles that go on as opposed to the 1 vs 1.

    For the duels I much prefer the Arena.

    Working on a fire control/ energy melee dominator. Think it will do very well in any PvP situation. At least that is the hope .
  12. Sirens Call is the minor league of PvP, come to Warburg where you can attack and be attacked by anyone. Much more intense action.
  13. Mucho fun today in Warburg. First off with my Stalker, Deaths Hand. Battling with Fang-Gore (not a real battle, I cheap shotted the poor soul) Beerknight (been pvping with beer for a while now) Jett Blonde (got lucky when her unstop wore off) and Muddy Love ( i know better to avoid the cess pool of an earth troller)

    Then WC and LMC brought out some heavies for some beach action. Man, that is always intense and allot of fun. Finished the night of with some 1 vs 1 battles with Akira Project/Kagemon on the beach. All in all lots of fun, non [censored] night of open zone PvP.

    Will be a super good time when they open up a lvl 50 ish open PvP zone then the full aspect of a SHW battle can come out. Hope the devs do it right. Warburgs beach is good, but those darn NPC's are a distraction .

    Hmmm, I tend to disagree. Have a 39 EA/EM Stalker. Slotted one + SO accu in each attack. It is my understanding that base acc % is 75. Add a SO which gives a 33% and you get 108% accu? Is this true? Or am I naive in my simplistic math?

    Then why have I been noticing multiple whiffs on my EM attacks? Even with build up I notice I miss more often. Mostly one whiff at a time, but sometimes 3 times in a row with energy transfer, total focus and bone smasher. No debuffs on me, straight up +1 Longbow minions. Not the very crafty Special op guys who seem to be able to attack out of invis, but normal Longbow.

  17. Heya Crackback, if you need some practice in the arena Ill gladly offer up some of my toons. Have PvPed allot and have become somewhat adept at it (not on the level of Citizen Zero or Biotron, but can hold my own against most).

  19. Been killed and have killed many a person in the Arena. Havent gone to the open areas much. Except for Warburg ,during that first week, that was some really fun PvP. Here (neutered by the ED knife) are my most used arena toons:

    Alien Ascension- Ice/em blaster (totally FOTM, PL'd this toon in under 60 hours, very proud of myself )
    Zeet- Fire/rad
    Stanchion- Invuln/Nrg

    Wasnt a big fan of PvP at first, but have since taken to it like a fish to water. Like it, love it, want some more of it. Holler.

    That is great. A viable solution to an overpowered power. Ideally enemies shoudnt stand in a roaring fire pit while trying to punch me. But in order to make this a viable choice for any "burn" tanker in the furture you either need to tone down the fear effect of remove it entirely. Im for the longer recharge and the less damage. But its current incarnation is useless.

    I have tried on test for hours on end to find a reason to keep burn in my current build. Something to slow the enemies from running so quickly away from the patch. Ring of Fire from the epic Pyre mastery pool. Ice Storm from the Artic mastery. Stalagmites from the Earth.

    After trying each of these "slow" powers in a attempt to make burn a remotely usufull power I have come to the conclusion you cant. As you know fire tanks are super toggle heavy. Sometimes running 7-8 toggles at once. So you are forced to take Energy mastery for Conserve Power, imo. Stamina cannnot cover that amount of heavy end usage. Forget about using the attacks. So you tell me to put endu reducs in the powers. Ok, tried that. Two endu reducs in FS, PS, one each in a 4 slotted tough and weave. One in BA. 5 slotted consume with times in a attempt to meet the endu needs even with reducs. One endu reduc in FSC, BoF, and Combust. Only other AoE attack is Fire ball, so tried that with 6 slots, one endu reduc. Found the defense decrease and the lack of fire power from everything but pyre mastery to be unworkable r/t damage taken vs. time it takes to whittle a small group down past the AoE restriction. With a appreciable amount of enemies herded together the time it took to take the group down vs the endu usage made the situation untenable. In conclusion, the use of the slow powers from each pool besides energy is unworkable r/t being so stamina/CP dependant. Even worse now with the increased endu cost of running tough and weave.

    So onto what I have been forced to take in order to make my fire tanker(s) a viable build. No burn at all. AT ALL. Respeced the power out. "But it gives immobilization protection!!" So does a BF and that dosent cause the group to scatter to the hills when I use it. Took the Energy mastery pool. Six slotted CP with times. Settled on 4 slots in consume, 3 times and one endu recov. FA with slot, with two slots in BU (one tohit and one time) I am able to six slot FSC, BoF, Combust and Energy Torrent with all dmg's instead of 5 dmgs and one accu.

    Yes, your right, energy torrent. A small cone dealing smashing dmg. While its not the burn I have come to love and will sorely miss it has a nice dmg with 5 slots and BU. With this build I can partially fulfill my description, "Fiery Aura is the most offensive of the tankers defensive Power Sets"
