In pve no clue In PVP I only see my 40 and Takai's 50 in SC.


Here's a freeby for ya though con the best new 1v1 build I have seen in SC is a Fire/Wp Brute and he was only 29 with no sets.

Wish I had thought of that build.

You might be suprised there is only about one or 2 draws out of every 15 or so fights.


Longest you will see the above senario you described go on in sirens call level or below is 30 mins,

I mean its worse in WB with Hibernoob and or Phase IMHO (Another reason I tend to do this only in sirens)


My personal record is 55 mins on my DM/Energy armour Brute to a win against a spines regen scrapper that kited.

(not many's idea of fun I know)

I'll admit its definatley a house rules choice for a minority of players as a opposed to a majority of what the general PVPers would consider fun at all.

Not that it bothers any of us.

Folks that choose to play this way tend to be easy going and like a slower pace then say Zone Team PVP or Zerging style overwhelming spiker teams AKA (Ganks) with lots of deaths fast pace and back and forth action.

The type of player that tends to prefer a fight club is one who likes to die for what they consider a purpose of worth in the game to an opponent they tend to consider worthy.

I personally strive to learn from my losses and actually enjoy most of them.

You will tend to get hunted by folks like me who ejoy watching 1v1s and thus choose to guard them at times.

But few interruptors are killed instantly (that really depends on whos there and how good the interuppter is)

Mike you bring up some excellent points here and you make good actualy referances from experiance.

However there is one thing your missing in your example.

Fight club is primarily in Sirens and below Rarely does it go to WB.

This allows it to avoid not only the inps and accolades that are clicks from determinig a win for player but also aviods things like a tier 9 drop (temp phase) or Hibernoob making or breaking a duel.

It is a more balanced approach to a 1v1 between Melees (most of the time) then can be found in any other stage of the game save perhaps a duel between 2 very good dueliests at SHW with the same accolades and insp load out.




There are good sides to duels below 31 for many who prefer a fight club style.

Actually Thor your both right and wrong here.

Your right in that it is a test of paitence and if ones an idiot or hates a long drawn out fight (takai enjoys fast wins and bores quickly for example) then it is more a measure of playstyle then skill.

However if the 2 oppenants in question are patient and like a long duel with no insps or accolades then skill and build do indeed play into the outcome.

And of course there will always be the element of luck present as well but thats a given. (Toggle drops Crits mis clicks ext)

Much of fight club vs high shw style play's differances come from playstyle preferances (Team, Zone, Arena, Solo, Duel) and also access to PLing and the means to make the toons to be competitve.

For example I could cannabilize all my toons but say 4 and then pl those 4 to SHW and go that route and be good on Justice (Not the best but good)

However I prefer having 12-15 good pvp toons on both sides most of which can 1v1 well at the middle weight rank and in Sirens.

This is both less boring to me and allows me the ability to always effect sirens call in some manner that is meaningful to me thus I chose this route.

I do not regret it personally I like to be original.

Doctor J doesn't go into Sirens anymore because his toon is the suck there with a big side of stalker attracting beef on his head.

Troken is good in arena partic in 2v2 but not in fight club.

These are just differant ways of playing one or more might be your way or not.

You were wise not to 1v1 a troller at that level with a 1v1 melee toon built for sirens though as that fight would be pointless.
