Escher, did you also APPLY the code to your account? You must first buy the code, which opens it up in your NC account - THEN you must apply it to your GAME account.
Once that's done, wait a bit, because it might take a couple hours to tag in. Then:
Jackets, where the tux options are on both male and female
Skirts, Tops with Skin (?)(or just tops, can't recall), Gloves and Shoes for the ladies. Oh and ... Hats? I didn't use the veil. I can't recall if that's just a hair option or a hat-head option.
But they will be there only after you've applied the codes to the account -
Actually all the skirts take the Bridal overlay - so Pencil which is the longest skirt does really nicely as a modest knee-length skirt. I had it on my toon, though not the pattern (because RR and lace are like, lol. no). They're much more flexible than you'd expect - especially the tailed tuxes. But hey - they're not for everyone, and they ARE just costume options.
At the very least, they're options which new players don't have to wait and wait for like some vet rewards -

What a rip off! I felt it was cheesy having to pay money for access to a bunch of costume peices, but then when I got a good look at what was actually in the package, I felt totally cheated. Hardly anything for male characters, and most of the peices added for female models were just variations on an existing theme. They could have at least thrown in the costume peices from the Spring fling event - as if I enjoyed running my every alternate character through an event that got stale two years ago...
I've been playing online games for over six years and never felt before that I was entitled to a refund. This is a first. Suffice it to say that I will never pony up the funds for another expansion/patch/whatever of COH.

You could have, you know, "read the posts about it" or even "the advertisement" about it, to find out *exactly what it contained*.
You in no way shape or form "had" to purchase it, what did you exactly expect from something which was specifically advertised as "4 emotes and some wedding-style costumery"? -
[ QUOTE ]
and was then dropped into the drink for it.

That was the best giggle from these shots, I think I've seen tonight. What an awesome catch right there. -
I have to agree, the crowding was bad.
Honestly - we left Pocket D more organized while LH was giving out titles at the top of the ramp, and a line formed there.
Thing is at Atlas, there's *no* logical area to form a line, without putting down more stuff visually to guide us. (They DO have those disneyland-line / bank-line things, though, in the one warehouse map, and could possibly have used those.)
It's still a learning experience. I hope we get more things like this, even though it's messy. -
Villains get valet parking?! Whaaaat!
I kind of figured that the vside would be easier to reach but I don't *own* a villain, and certainly don't have any which have free tokens, nor would look particularly good in a pretty outfit (my one live villain is a zombie mm, so... yah). -
Don't double post. What were YOU thinking?
-
Only 100 people would be *managable* at a time.
There are PLENTY of links directing you how to get to the test server *on each and every single forum area*. If you haven't noticed them stickied there, you probably should look harder.
The event's been known for days now, so latecomers were very confused if they *didn't take the time to read the GMOTD* which popped up. They made that message *specifically* for people to read to get to the ushers.
The costume pieces are FAR more than "slight" updates. They're really, really beautiful. Maybe you should have taken a LOOK at them before rushing to the decision to believe someone about that.
Sour grapes much? They said straight out: not everyone will get in. I set my character up *immediately* when I heard about it, and still waited over an hour for the event, which was quite fun. Disorganized? Yes. But fun none the less. If you can't have fun standing around shooting the breeze with 400 of your favorite players, then ... I dunno what to tell you. -
[ QUOTE ]
I need some help here!!!
I am trying to help my hubby find the costume parts for the tux, but there does not seem to be any new pieces. I also am having trouble finding the extra female costume items...where would those be located??

1) ... you DID actually buy the pack, and UPGRADE the account with that paid serial number? (because there are TWO steps here: buy it, and then apply it. If you only bought it, it's sitting in your NC account waiting to be upgraded onto one of your accounts)
2) They're in Jackets
2) unfortunately that's pretty much it for the guys But the Pants/Slacks option looks great with the tux. -
I have a specific folder in my inbox for COH related things, so I know I never miss em. Hope you get it, though it's just exactly the same as the Announcement page thing

I really hope someone Demo Records this thing. My wife and I are working and will be unable to attend. It'd be....Super Cool... if some one could Demo this thing and post it to youtube.
Also, the wedding pack is friggen cool. The Rose petal emote is so neat with the Phys-x engin. Drop a bunch and run through them, or turn on fly and have a shower of them
So PLEASE if someone or multiple people will Demo this, you'd rock the heavens!
[/ QUOTE ]
They're going to be recording it, however I've heard from someone who tried demoing the emotes and such earlier, that their system crashed. I think it'll be recorded with a different system, than just the ingame demo - the demorecord system is always a couple steps behind where it ought to be. But we *will* have recordings, we've been told
@ beaurocrat (...sp?) exactly. I have gotten the impression that more people than not, have bought and enjoy the pack. while several very vocal people on this thread assert that they're not going to - that's not a majority of what I've seen. We will have to wait - but frankly they're whining about having to pay extra for something extra. That's silly.
And @ the person with the troubles getting the pack: where do you live? How are you attempting to pay? Those things may be vital because there are likely places around the world which simply *block* any sales in or out of certain things, even if you've gotten them before, things might have changed. It might be your IP, your credit card company, their parent company, or any number of things along the line - most likely your credit card company. Since we don't know where you live and with what company you deal, I don't think this is a broad issue - definitely take it up personally with one of the admin here, they could help I think, at least to clarify whether they know something specific about your location/card company. -

Forgot to add :
If the devs actually believe selling these little trinkets are going to increase business, or keep the MAJORITY of us "die hards" interested, they need to relook at the player population. On top of that, people are actually paying for outside companies to sell them influence and power levelling services...Speaks volumes about the situation of the gaming experience.
[/ QUOTE ]
What part of anything you just had to say was on the topic of the valentines pack and enjoying the nice new costumes and emotes? You just spewed "I love Wow!" ... nothing more.
It seems by the content of the forums, that most people here love the pack and have paid for it, and will pay for more. You are an exception, there are others. But that's just it: you are *exceptions* not the rule. So, by that logic and that which you just stated... Looks like you're going to be passing up a lot of new stuff that's extra, non-game-breaking ingame items when many others will be paying for them and enjoying them.
I for one WILL buy more of these things for my other accounts. The sole reason I haven't plugged them onto my 2nd and 4th so far is that I am only PLAYING my main right now, so... no need for them there yet.
I'll buy whatever they give out. I'm not picky about that, but I will enjoy whatever costumery or emotes that are added. If I have to pay ten bucks? So what. Five? Yeah perhaps that's more reasonable per "volume" of content, but really - I don't care. It won't hurt the game if SOME people have it and others don't, just like the capes and other goodies which SOME folks have and others don't. -

I think you need to look into your emailers. I haven't changed email addresses since starting CoH nearly 45 months ago, and I didn't get a double xp mailer or wedding package/Valentines day mailer, either. I am not alone on this. Surprisingly, I did buy 1 Wedding package and got 2 emails, 1 verify the purchase and 1 saying my account was upgraded. Oh and if I thought it was really worth buying, I would have bought 2 one for my second account that's nearly 36 months old.

You need to correct your email with NC then, or *sign up for the emails* because it IS an option you can decline. You may have simply checked the "don't send me any info" at the outset. Go back and check for it, I'm not quite sure exactly where to look since I've always got those things coming in
Of course all you otherwise need to do is sign up for updates from places like MMORPG.com or wherever else that spams the same news 15 minutes later -
... Never once noticed it, nor do I recall anything about it on the forums... But, whatever.
-
Read the instructions on how to create a new loader which leads to test (make a separate folder in your coh program files locale to keep them separated) and follow the other instructions to get your characters transferred. They don't "leave" live, they're merely copies which then can't be moved back.
It's not that hard to get on. It's more difficult, I would say, to get on at 3PM pacific for a lot of folks, than to get on test. -
Did you perhaps *wait* a while for it to come on your account?
The stuff's there, I'm sure.
If you can access it through heroes but NOT on villains (check someone?) that's a problem but I suspect it's just a glitch not getting them at all. -
[ QUOTE ]
This is exactly what we do not want to do.
[/ QUOTE ]
Define "we" partner. It's YOU, you do not want. Some few others do not want. Most of us are plenty fine with the idea of being able to selectively buy non-game-breaking items such as these for a reasonable cost.
I've paid for 2 server transfers, and have pondered some name changes - those are all 10 bucks apiece too. So?
Stop buying Starbucks for 3 days. There's your 10 bucks and change, easy. It's not the price and it's not the amount of stuff, you're just not hot on having it. That's fine. Don't buy it. We got the picture already. -
[ QUOTE ]
Okay... I just got the last patch on the Training Room... and the veil colors appear to be fixed. The FIRST color now colors the hairdo.. and the second color does the OUTSIDE of the veil only... sadly.. the inside still appears to be black.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's the same bug as always, which has been explained before:
Go in and check "copy colors over entire character" and change it to the one you want, then re-change the colors back outside of that. It's a pain. But, there it is. -

One comment, Bow Tie (Shoulders) for males and Huge already exists. If it's now available for Female characters, that would be a new addition.
And a question to go with it: My first thought on seeing these was that the jackets would be in Trench Coats, to lock out capes, but apparently, they're plain Jackets, AND there's the Wedding Veil. Is it possible for Female characters to have the Veil, Wedding jacket, AND a Cape?
[/ QUOTE ]
I have both Coat and Back options on Obsidius (Huge model).
Flapping tux tails AND a cape?!?!?! TWO capes systems on the same character?!?!?! Jay, you rock!
[/ QUOTE ]
this may have been a bug, Female toons and now if what you say is correct Huge toons can do this, but male toons cannot. If this is a bug you better get all your back details with tux in asap before they fix it.
[/ QUOTE ]
... No it's not a bug, the only reason they can't say it's true for sure on males or Huge is that there is no veil part for the guys. -
[ QUOTE ]
Also something you may have not considered is copying over two characters, one parked at the usher of your choice and the other in attendance at the theme party in Pocket D. Once you hear the 15 minute announcements swap over to the other character and voile click away.
Either way we hope to have you join us on Test server tomorrow for some fun.
Regards,
Ex
[/ QUOTE ]
That's what I'm planning on doing, in any case. Retail Retali8r's parked, I'll probably create a new character and hang in Pocket D for a while (unless those titles are being given out lol in which case I ought to figure out who to bring...).
OH YEAH - Ex? Is this on Test Server or Test Server 01?
I'm guessing just the 00 or plain version, but can we get confirmation? I've got characters on both servers right now, and I doubt one over the other, but hey. Worth knowing. -
[ QUOTE ]
Cause I've been reading the forums, and this hasn't been made clear to me. How is anyone who doesn't read the forums going to know this?
[/ QUOTE ]
Most people who don't read the forums won't know how to get on Test to get to the event in the first place. -
[ QUOTE ]
It's sort of like trying to get into Disney's "Club 54" ride.
[/ QUOTE ]
Which is a lot like the forum cartel. -
[ QUOTE ]
Wait...
Did I miss the wedding thing?
[/ QUOTE ]
No, read the flier for the time and the SPECIFIC place. You'll need to be on Test at 3pm PACIFIC time for it.
The live server event will start up that day too but will NOT include the wedding itself. That's ONLY on test -
[ QUOTE ]
and there is talk about hitting the slopes.
[/ QUOTE ]
YAH!
I can't wait to see what kind of contests there will be, this will be fun! I've already gotten RR up to the Atlas guide, in a new outfit formal for the Wedding on Test.
Do you think there might be Live server contests and the like, in addition to any of the cool stuff you're doing on test over the Fling? -
[ QUOTE ]
No, but if they started printing books, I wouldn't think my subscription entitled me to get those free. I'd fully expect to pay extra for whichever books I wanted.
Of course, if the quality of the magazine suffered as a result, I'd be upset. However, that's something that's yet to be seen with the game.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is exactly right on.
Our subscription money goes technically to NC for NC to do with however it pleases. If it pleases them to give us access to the game, then that's what it goes to - and that is the ONLY thing that this subscription fee grants the user, period.
So by allowing their developers to make something extra, and charge something extra (is it overpriced? I don't know, I don't think so, I pay 30 bucks for every Sims expansion known to man and I play that game maybe 1 day out of 100.) for it that sounds just fine to me.
Our subscription money opens the game to us to play. That is all. The extras which we've gotten did not have to be included, every single Issue worth of content COULD have been paid for by expansions and upgrade costs. They did not choose that option, and this is not such a huge upgrade that it would ever, possibly, break the game for anyone.
Game breaking updates: how many options for EQ / EQ2 exist that if you don't have it, you can't play wherever? Hell, even here - COV is NOT playable by COH only accounts! If you really needed to play on the redside here, you must get a cov account and upgrade it.
And so far - that has been IT. No other game-breaking or immersion-breaking updates have been made available that would ruin the game for other people who didn't have it. The VIP card? It's really fun but it's *not* a necessary ingredient to play the game on either side. Costumery and emotes? Again, *not* required by everyone to play the game. Period.
The costumes are beautiful, and the emotes rawk.
*yes, we should get rings
*yes I really hope that the opaque veil continues to exist, because it's beautiful too
*yes it might be nice to have more male options (heart boxers)
But are any of those things going to prevent anyone from playing? NO.
Cambios: quit whining, cancel your account and stop trying to foist YOUR irritation about the game onto everyone else. Just because you are burnt out and obviously can't stand to see other people enjoying themselves, does not mean that anyone must follow you to your private pit of whine and jeez. Nothing you say will improve the game. It won't help you - even if everything you state you want right now, to be in the game or to be changed about the game were implemented? In two weeks you'd have chewed through it and found ways to hate it again. That's clearly your MO here, so please: stop it and move to something you do like, away from those who are already enjoying this part of our game experience.
