  3. Okie dokie for me to run another attempt I will need two volunteers to join my SG to Captain the other teams. This is so everyone can gain access to my base. I know I've been lazy recruiting new members.

Anyways a quick run down on how I plan to run this.

Once everyone is in the zone all teams will group up at their assigned obelisk. Once all teams are at their obelisks I will then call out for the teams to buff up. Once the teams have buffed I will give the go to attack the guardians and take down the obelisk. I do not see a need to take the obelisk down to 30% and then make a second pass to finish them off. As long as everyone focuses on the obelisk then they should be able to take it out in one pass.

Once inside the CoP we will wait at the door. I will then call out for buffs. I'd like everyone close together for this initial part so that we have the maximum effect from all of the buffs. One [Biological Mutagens] nuke will be good as it will boost everyone's regen and dmg output. Once the buffs have been given I will then give the teams the go to clear their stone. Once your stone is cleared assist any team who is still battling their spawns.

We we move to the AV, the taunt tank should be on one side and everyone else opposite the taunt tank. The debuffers hit the AV with their debuffs. At this point NO NUKES!!. Every time someone has set one off it looks as if everyone is getting lagged out by it. Shiven are ok as are other pets.

Had a great time last night. To bad we did not win it. Some things that we learned.

1: Having a taunt tank on the AV cut down on the deaths, a LOT.
2: Having tanks on each team that were responsible for taunting the baddies at respawn helped a lot.
3: Helping other teams clear their baddies once your teams assigned cube got us a lot more shots at the AV.
    4: We need more debuffs.
5: Having the global chat channel was HUGE for constant communication! Much better than broadcast and request.

We did a pretty fast job taking down the obelisks, GREAT when you consider we did this raid with no one on a voice server, including the leaders.

I also wanted to thank everyone for their patience in getting the trial started.

Thanks for coming everyone and we will try it again..SOON!!!

It was a good run. A lil bumpy at first with the obelisks. I'm of the feeling that it is better to take them down in one shot rather than the down to 30% then finish them off approach. If everyone ignores the Nat's and just attacks the obelisk then it should be possible.

Inside if there were a few players with toggle -regen debuffs then we may have stood a better chance as the debuff is not dependant on a to-hit and therefore would be more consistent on debuffing the regen rate. Also a couple of rads buffing everyone with AM would help with our recovery and damage.

We did manage to get the AV down to 50% of life before the shield went back up which is better than my attempted run. So I'm sure we'll beat him in time and this will be yet another "I remember when..." story.

  7. Coordination is defiantly key for this trial that is for sure. On our second attempt at the AV I used the MkIII temp on him to check his stats out. He has a 576 hp/sec regen rate and 10% resistance.
That being said each team should have at least one rad to keep the -reg buffs up when the shield is up and we are clearing the mobs out again.

Some one after the raid told me a team with six rads and two darks makes it easier to take down the AV. I also think one bubbler on the raid team will help out as well.

It is possible to take the obelisks down in one pass if everyone is in sync and once the barrier drops everyone focuses on the obelisk and ignores the Nat's.

I'd like to thank everyone who participated and a special thanks to Armage and Mind Over Matter for joining my Super Group so that we could have three teams going.

I'd like to take part, but I think more research is needed.

I have several 50s to choose from.
I started the trial with just me on Monday and was able to enter the trial no problem. I was also able to invite people to my team once I was in the trial so the teams are not locked like they are in a standard task force/trial. The only draw back is that if the leader of the team who must be in the SG drops and another SG member is not in the line of succession the team will be kicked from the map till another sg member is made team leader again.

Based on the discrition from the Mission Computer, you need to clear the spawns guarding the obelisks before you can take them down. You then need to take down the obelisks together, within 30 seconds of each other, inorder to open the Cathedral. You then need to clear the spawns again before fighting the AV.

All of the spawns were level 52 so clearing them will not be a cake walk.

Armage offered to join my SG for the trial so we can form up a second team with him as lead.

Okie dokie, seeing I'm a pre-purchase pixie I was able to look in on the CoP. It looks like it can be started with a team of only one. The mission computer says people can join after the trial is started and the max number is 20 members.

    Sooooooo, see everyone on Friday!

  15. Welp was a light turn out tonight but we still had fun. Started out with a FFA match in the arena before moving to the WB for a a lil zone PvP fun, at least I had fun leading everyone on a wild pixie chase.

I don't plan on hold any event on the week GR/i18 is released, as I figure everyone will be busy playing with the new shiney. So see everyone again in two weeks!

I have no problem doing tf's on Saturday's. In fact, going back a ways I did do many a tf on Saturday's and you still poo poo'ed me for the timing.

Anyways now that it is summer I do my cross country bike rides on Saturday's to give me time to recover over the remainder of the weekend. But on GR/i18 go live weekend I may decide to be bad and play that weekend.
  18. So seeing that the big download has happened and GR/i18 will soon be upon us! Who would be interested in doing the CoP the first weekend after the roll out? I believe that would be around the 22nd.

  20. I would not mind as long as it did not run into one of the other server events, like Hammie or ship raids. I think the last time Guardian Wars was happening it was scheduled during one of the weekly Hammie raids and that put a dent in the number of player available who would otherwise have participated. Also keep in mind school will be starting back up again here really soon so weeknights may become light after for awhile.
  21. w00t! Now that was a very smooth MoCudda run if I ever saw one!

I think we had only one or two close calls and even those didn't make my heart stop. And who says red side is dead on Guardian?
  22. I'll pop in for this event. I'll prolly be the only one from my SG to show but I'll make sure to give everyone a good chase.
  23. I'd like to thank everyone who came to tonights dance. Even though the global channels were down we still had 10+ people show up to the event.

Take care and see everyone next week.
  24. Here I was putting together a dance in Pocket D and I am unable to announce the event on the globals. Ok may that is the problem PvP broke the globals.
